They actually did. I have connections at Naval Station San Diego both military and civil service and was told by many active duty members they didn't know of one person who voted for Kamala Harris. The same with civilian personnel. I can't remember where I heard it from but after the 2024 election they were discussing the demographics of Trump voters and they said like 65% of the military voted for Trump. It might have been CNN? That's what lead me to contact these people and ask who they voted for and why. I cut my ties with them as I didn't like what they said about Kamala.
I often wonder but I don't want to reach out to them again. The things they said about Kamala was pretty vile. I actually couldn't believe what I was hearing. They were good people at one time. Kind of freaked me out with the things they said.
I use to believe they were good people too...until Americans were given permission and even encouraged to hate all others that weren't fans of the prez. I now believe they had this hatred hidden, and, once given permission, they let it all out.

I had neighbors and acquaintances flying Trump flags and the "Don't tread on me" flags in their yards that are active military. I didn't have to ask, it was a "no brainer" who they voted for. Like I previously mentioned the feedback I was getting about Kamala was not about her gender but other disgusting things they heard from Trump himself and the vile things being said on Facebook. There are many military members that are full-on MAGA despite what most people think. You would be surprised. Most people want to think it's with young enlisted men but it is not just them. It is also officers as well as high as Commanders and Captains. As you know, Hegseth has purged many officers who are not loyal to Trump. It is very scary.
Hatred doesn't only affect the few...it circulates in ever widening circles in which to convince others how wonderful it is to hate. I wrote to 2 of my neighbors while they were in boot camp and in VN. What they went through was horrifying. One came back and disappeared, to this day I do not know what happened to him. The other came back with so many wounds, it was hard to believe he was still alive and he was also addicted to pain pills. It took him a very long time to come to grips with all he went through. So, I really hate this man who has no regard for those who protect us.

Dear Ben.. Thank you for honoring the 13 Americans that we have sadly lost during this awful war. They served our country with dignity and grace, which is something that DT is incapable of. I think of their families experiencing their first Memorial Day without them. A draft dodger that has no comprehension of what it is like to train, serve, witness horrors and in way too many cases die for America. This is a day of remembrance and you are right - it shoukd bring us together. The Commander and Chief should not be ranting on social media.
