Elon Musk ended his uneasy truce with Donald Trump today in a series of posts on his social media platform X. Musk trashed Trump’s budget right after the full text of the bill was released by Senate Majority Leader John Thune - his first series of outbursts against the Orange Messiah since he revealed that his name was all over the Epstein files.
Musk focused on three areas of concern. The first was the amount that the bill is about to increase the deficit since the Senate included all of Trump’s various tax cuts and deductions for the wealthy with a massive increase in defense spending, lot of new spending for ICE and deportations, and not nearly enough spending cuts to offset even a fraction of it.
Musk’s second objection was that it will be a jobs killing bill by giving “handouts to industries of the past while severely damaging industries of the future” - particularly in industries that focus on clean energy production that affect his companies directly and America’s ability to compete in global markets in the future.
His third objection was the fact that polls show the public is overwhelmingly against this bill, lamenting that passage of it “is political suicide for the Republican Party.”
There must be a more efficient way to eliminate RMAGA that doesn't also destroy ourselves and our nation. It's not politics anymore nor is it the economy. We are being sacked by The Heritage Foundation for their gain and aggrandizement.
Hideous and grotesquely cruel.
