What is this weird auto-bot advertisement response on every single comment?

He can be kept from having the plane if those who can do it will stop him. No way he should be able to have it. And, Bill Clinton was impeached (not successfully) not for anything sexual, but for lying to Congress. How many times does the felon and his junk drawer get to with no consequences?

Pam Bondi should be held accountable and lose her license to practice law.

Good point, Clinton is a saint compared to the swamp swindler creature, Trump.

We can as I was raised to not see America going this way. I knew when he wanted to run again because he is trying to cover up his past. I have a photo on my phone

There needs to be plenty of arrests as well as why didn’t the FBI raid Epstein’s other properties? What about the Virgin Islands court documents? Elon Musk? Etc?

Good luck getting anything from Kash Patel, to investigate Trump. Bondi, or Patel!

Keep uncovering, and reporting on the corruption, lies, coverups, and criminal activity of this administration, and especially our president. The Republican Party is complicit in the entire criminal enterprise!

Thanks for this excellent interview with Rep. Dan Goldman, one of the sanest and most competent members of Congress. Thank you for your service, Mr. Goldman!

i am not in any way a Trump fan but Goldman going down this rabbit hole with just circumstantial evidence makes us look as bad as MAGA.

Oaktown's avatar

Goldman: “In Feb, Bondi promised she’d release the full Epstein Files immediately. 74 days later, and she hasn’t released them or explained why. People are asking if she’s covering for Trump? I’m demanding answers to determine if she's betraying her promise at Trump's direction.”

The reason he's doing that is exactly what Amber Yarger sez. The MAGAs think the files will implicate Clinton and other Dems, but we KNOW Numbnuts will be implicated, and Epstein's highly suspicious death took place while he was the president and Bill Barr was his Atty. General. This needs to be investigated and is no small matter. Convictions are often based solely on circumstantial evidence.

Actually, I think it helps incite angst in their party. There are some rabid MAGA conspiratoirialists that foam at the mouth about Epstein. They are already livid with Kash Patel and Pam Bondi about this. I think anywhere we can sow derision amongst their followers, we should be doing it.

Trump did a lot of catch and kill stories on himself in 2015-2016 campaign. Of course, she is redacting shit about Trump on all this info.

Someone has to get off their arse and do something. Why aren’t they? Surely not all republicans are that crooked? I’m in, who’s with me?

Trump fired a great deal of republicans (or they quit) who would stand up to him and replaced them with his MAGAs and sycophants. Some have been threatened that their careers would be over or their and their family’s safety have been threatened. Many republicans have bought into Project 2025, Peter Thiel and Curtis Yarvin’s dark ideology to end democracy. So there are a slew of reasons why we won’t get much from the Republicans.

After seeing this today I wrote a scathing letter to both of my Senators and my House of Representative. See below:

DO YOUR JOB!

DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION. YOU TOOK AN OATH OF OFFICE TO DEFEND IT WHEN YOU WERE SWORN IN. DONALD TRUMP IS DENIGRATING AND USURPING ALL OF THE POWERS OF CONGRESS AND YOU ARE LETTING HIM. THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND SENATE WILL BECOME (ARE) PUPPETS OF THE PRESIDENT (WANNA BE KING).

ALLOWING DONALD TRUMP TO ACCEPT A $400,000,000.00 (THAT’S FOUR HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS if you can’t count that high) 747-8 “FLYING PALACE” TO REPLACE AIR FORCE ONE, AND HE GETS TO KEEP IT (since a presidential library does not fly)????

If you could not tell from the all caps that I am furious with the way Congress has allowed as much corruption, pandemonium, and chaos to occur in less than 4 months of this presidency, let me categorically state:

I AM FURIOUS!

Again:

DO YOUR JOB! If any other president had done any of the illegal, ridiculous and off the wall actions that Donald Trump has perpetrated, they would have been removed after the first one.

No doubt, while we give them all the time in the effing world to stall---this time until DJT takes over with his military and all the lawyers and Congressmen who have threatened the SWINE have been executed. I certainly have no hope left that anything will be done about this or any other corruption by DJt and his sychophants.

I wonder who that someone could be. I have believed from the moment I heard of his death that his old buddy, DJT, engineered the whole thing, i.e., had the freak murdered so he could not tell all about Trump. Trump was a hotshot at the time, and they were bosom buddies. Are we supposed to believe that Rump did not rape little 13-year-old girls with Epstein? Hell, a few of them have even come forward and said he did, and provided some details of the experience. Seems they have disappeared, too, and one has committed "suicide." Yeah, right. Just like Epstein.

How much do they get away with, that's against the law, that the law can't put them in jail. What is Rule of Law if we can't put them away?

Expand full comment
Cynthia A. Williams's avatar

NOTHING. All the Dems have done is mouth the words, "rule of law." While allowing a candidate and then a president to break every law known to man, including incest, child abuse and murder WITH IMPUNITY. We apparently have no rules or laws that cannot be broken if you are rich or well-known enough to flaunt them. And don't quote the SC ruling about Presidential Immunity to me! because this son of a bitch had committed enough crimes before that ruling to have been executed a few times over for the sheer number of his crimes, nevermind their historical, political, economic and social effect upon the nation and the world. We have no rule of law, no JUSTICE system, no constitution as long as Donald J. Trump continues to flaunt them with impunity. All we have is a system of punishments for trumpty dumpty's enemies.

You cannot blame the Democrats! What else can they do when they are in the minority? Now you know why so many of us kept saying to VOTE BLUE straight down the ballot!

Expand full comment
Cynthia A. Williams's avatar

I was blaming them for their lack of decisive action WHEN THEY WERE IN POWER. We had the executive and the legislative branches of government! ALong with a do-nothing DOJ head. But I know full well the necessity of voting Blue in the mid-terms and thereafter, if we are going to stand a chance of saving our country from the Nazis. I am one of those who kept saying "VOTE BLUE STRAIGHT DOWN THE BALLOT." I also say we've got to have stronger, MEANER candidates if we're going to salvage our democracy out of the shambles the Repugnants have made of it!
