Along with God knows what other info. she had. Olbermann said he thought that with the amount of money she was making at FOX, there's no way she would take the WH talking head gig.

We The People are all allowed to decide our preferences. We know the soaps and some other shows are just stories for entertainment. No political messages, although the most enjoyable soap is about Civil Rights Freedom fighters making lives and doing good things in the world, and its sponsored by NAACP. Wonder if CBS realizes that?!?!
I was a Mark Harmon fan even before NCIS. There are many streaming platforms to view what you like. I tuned CBS out & will never watch them again. They have truly lost their way

I am so heartbroken over what has happened at CBS. The way they caved to Trump is sickening. I rarely watch network TV but the Central Broadcastingg Systen has always been the hub, the flagship of television giving us so many wonderful shows. I grew up with 60 Minutes. I don't think in life after 60 Minutes came on the air. She missed a single episode. If she did, she'd most likely caught it on the summer reruns. That was regardless of whatever the Networks called news you could rely on what you saw and heard there because of their integrity. And to see that destroyed by this idiot, that was elected president literally destroyed my heart. I knew after they fired Scott Pelly that there was no coming back from that. And the integrity had been destroyed and disposed of. Now I can no longer watch CBS at all. I will miss the new Matlock, because I adore Kathy Bates, and I love that show. Elzbeth, Ghosts,, even the new vampire show. That's coming on soon, which I can't figure. The name of looks like good programming, and it breaks my heart, because I cannot watch it. I cannot support it. Personally, I never missed an episode of Stephen Colbert and back when David Letterman, left NBC , I applauded CBS for having set a savvy eye as to see the potential preparing David. Letterman, on at that hour at that time. And boy didn't it take off. It has been, my favorite network, most of my life. I've come to grieve the loss of C. B. S as sadly as losing my mother in 2009. The heads of programming on CBS have made such a grave mistake, and they will feel it, and they should feel it! THEY ARE NOW THE SAME TRASH THAT DONALD TRUMP IS.😭
You know it’s sad there are some really good TV show shows on CBS and I used to like 60 Minutes and meet the president and I used to like all of those things and especially Sunday morning. It’s hard not to watch it but if they’re going to count out to somebody that is night of the honest unbiased persuasion, then I can’t subscribe !
Nor do I, for the past several years. Same with Washington Post. I've cancelled all mainstream media. Comedy Central and South Park are still watchable.
So full disclosure, I watch the afternoon soap operas - pure escapism. But I stopped watching any news shows, even though I enjoyed Sunday Morning, and 60 Minutes. I was crushed to have to give those up. Bari Weiss has tainted those shows forever now - which was t-Dump's intent.
CBS has already lost a significant number of people who watch them. Adding Maria Bartiromo will result in further loss of viewership. The shrinking audience will hit them in the wallet.
I don't think all of their shenanigans are governed by the wallet. I think the need for power over the masses often trumps (no pun intended) their obscene greed. Controlling what people see and hear is worth the temporary hit to their pockets, and they'll just conjure up other ways to bleed the life out of their disciples.
Here's the problem. CBS doesn't care. CBS is a participant in the Fascist takeover of this country. So to appeal to CBS, Trump's latest propaganda organ, to have journalistic integrity is like appealing to Putin to take it easy on Ukraine. The only way to put a stop to this is to boycott CBS and 60 Minutes.
