My Most Important Sunday Message Yet..
By Ben Meiselas
This is my most important Sunday message yet. I normally post this earlier, but I didn’t sleep that much last night. I’ve been going through the 3 million Epstein files over and over again, making connections that I’ve been sharing on our YouTube page. I also spent a lot of time last night and into the early hours of this morning reflecting on the state of independent journalism.
On this Sunday, we should reflect on how independent journalism is under attack and what we need to do to protect it. As the largest independent media platform in the world, I know it is a moral imperative to use this platform and my voice to defend other independent reporters, to bring us together, and to rally us all in a common cause. I have been in communication with leaders in independent reporting to find ways to support each other’s work even more.
I also know that as the largest independent news platform in the world, the MeidasTouch Network is the top target for Trump and his DOJ. We knew we had to prepare for the day when Trump would try to arrest us and shut us down. For me, this network was, and is, always about this community and not me. If something happens to me personally, this network can live on since MeidasTouch stands for something bigger and more universal. We have intentionally built out a decentralized organizational structure to withstand attacks on our leadership, and we built out an international structure to withstand internet and communication blackouts in this country.
It is not a coincidence that Trump’s crackdown on independent journalism has accelerated with the partial release of the Epstein files. Trump knows that corporate news has been captured and won’t report how devastating those documents are. He wants to shut us down because he knows that more people get their news from us than anywhere else.
So where do we go from here? It is important we remain fearless in our reporting. It is important we don’t flinch or blink in the face of the threats. It is important that if something happens to me or our other leadership, the network’s operations are not impacted at all. It is critical that we keep our joy and not let Trump take away our empathy, our love for what we do, and our desire to bring people together rather than divide them. It is imperative we grow our operations here in the United States and, equally importantly, across the world. That is my pledge to you.
In return, as I reflect this weekend on everything, I have a simple request from you. Please share the MeidasTouch Network with people in your life today. Show them this Substack. Show them all the YouTube videos I’ve posted today on the MeidasTouch YouTube channel since 4 AM PT and let them see the truth.
Finally, if you are able to, please become a paid subscriber now. It’s not my favorite thing to ask people to become paid subscribers to this Substack, but I also know it’s the most important thing to ensure the growth and successful operation of the MeidasTouch Network. Please become a paid subscriber now if you can.
Thanks for reading this Sunday message, and thanks for all you do, and thanks for being a friend.

I have done this and continue to share what you are doing. I fear for you three and others such as Aaron Parnas. I belong to a lawyers' group that is fighting for democracy and the rule of law.
This hits like a flare in the night sky.
The message is clear: independent journalism is being squeezed precisely because it’s one of the last spaces not captured, not intimidated, and not dependent on the machinery it reports on.
The fact that a platform has to build contingency plans for arrests, blackouts, and leadership targeting tells you everything about the moment we’re in.
What stands out here isn’t fear…it’s the insistence on continuity, on decentralization, on refusing to let pressure turn into silence.
Whatever happens next, the signal is stronger than the attempt to shut it down.
Thank you.
