I share the desire to tear down his atrocities get justice for those damaged.

But let's get real. The American people will want Dems to FIRST get a move on with respect to their number one issues, and it isn't prosecuting Donald Trump and his cronies. Sorry, folks, but it isn't. Dems need to hit the ground running on affordability and immigration law reform and raising taxes on the corporations and rich. So many things need to be done! And to do that, they need control of Congress in 2027 so that they can start work on legislation to accomplish these things, even if the legislation can't be passed until Trump is gone. Demonstrate what Dems will do and we will win again in 2028. Spend time on show trials and we'll end up with more January 6 hearings that go nowhere in 2028. Now, if Dems quit spending so much time on fund raising and travelling back to their districts, for at least the first year or so, they might have time to do BOTH. But do not lose sight of the fact that affordability and immigration reform are THE number one issues. And I think number three might be stopping the Iran war.

Susan Meeker-Lowry's avatar

It’s both/and. We need to do it ALL.

Whatever comes first, the Democrats need to hit the ground running and clean house publicly with full transparency. Also, don’t let the Epstein files get pushed aside and lost in the shuffle. There’s hard work to be done, that’s for sure - and it’s long overdue!

I understand what you're saying and you're not wrong. However, possibly a few days of live television SHOWING the abrupt turn the country will be taking will give us all encouragement and joy, maybe even a sense of peace that's been lost for years. That's not bad. Maybe a reason to open a bottle and celebrate --

Give us a few days of visual encouragement and then get right into the hard work that needs done.

Thank you!

In order for people to believe in our government, Trump must be prosecuted.

Wouldn't it be great if Jack Smith returned to the Hague to prosecute them all. Now that would surely be their Karma. 🥰

Linda Eriksson's avatar

The thought of Jack Smith in this continuing role almost makes me salivate! That would be justice well served.

Jack Smith for Attorney General!

World needs truhth telling. Thank You. Greetings from Finland.

Absolutely correct. If they aren’t prosecuted to the fullest, laws are meaningless. It just encourages the next group of bad guys. The biggest mistake of the Biden Administration was in not prosecuting the Turd Reich.

We didn't prosecute Nixon either, setting it up for the monstrous magas to take over. I now call them monsters because they are deporting children to countries where they have nobody. IMO each and every one of them are monsters. Those magas that say this isn't what they voted for need to be sitting outside their maga reps offices, call incessantly, and change it. But...they won't because they are monsters or they just don't want to get involved- again monsters.

Having lived through the Nixon resignation and pardon, at that time it seemed enough shame for him. In retrospect, he should have been stripped of his citizenship, title and government benefits and possibly exiled.

Linda Eriksson's avatar

These monsters were “just doing their jobs”. Just like the Nazis before them.

Linda Eriksson's avatar

You both nailed it and named it.

The Turd Reich 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Personally, I think they need to be in front of a firing squad. The atrocities they’ve been responsible for are only the tip of the icebergs. I’d prefer it to happen at The Hague because the world has to see that we are serious.

We know only a fraction of what’s been done, and it affected so many across this earth.

It will take time and many investigations, just like the Third Reich’s crimes came out, will show the scope of it.

That is exactly how I feel. Tear down his "legacy" because that grifting fascist does not deserve to be immortalized

Yes to everything! As a Canadian, I so agree with everything. He has destroyed the world order.

He has made us stronger, more aware, but at what cost! He should be prosecuted. We (collective) will never be the same.

Lisanne's avatar

Wow, this is really becoming competitive between obdurate corporate media and pragmatic independent media.

I think Ben is absolutely right about getting these criminals to the Hague immediately.

Go Meidas Touch Network, Go Independent Media

this corrupt government, corrupt Republicans, the corrupt oligarchs from our own country, Peter Thiel, Elon Musk, and the whole trump family should be investigated for the criminal activities they're doing, SCOTUS, and Judge Eileen Cannon should be investigated for her unlawful fake bullshit against our National treasure & my hero, Jack Smith.

Justice John Roberts & his 5 other conservatives should be investigated for how the their Pres Peado placed them on the bench and the loyalty they give him. These judges from SCOTUS to Florida have thrown a molitive cocktail on our constitution. The DOJ is now a cesspool, it has to be flushed to a sewer in a prison where most belong, we can not let these traitors and the corporate media get away for lying & causing deaths & harm to the citizens of our country.

These traitors are part of the cover-up of the Epstein - Trump family child trafficking organization!!
