You are a wonderful writer Michael.

Have you ever considered fiction? Law novels written by attorneys have a time-honored space on best seller lists.

Plus fiction lets you deny that any characters you write are “based on real people”. Hahhaha. So you can spill beans or fantasize about anyone. Like is steven miller a zombie from another planet?

It will survive. Books are flammable. But Michael’s could sell film rights before it’s even published. And it will be saved by technology and foreign democracies. Maybe he could win a Palm d’Or in Cannes!

Even, perhaps, dare I say, a Nobel prize? For literature!

Oh. That would roast the tiny yam.

Who says it has to be made by a US company?

True, but the Trump cancer has metastasized far and wide. Did you see the UK hierarchy rolling out the red carpet and capitulating to the Demented Deviant the last couple of days? Or Orban saying he has designated antifascists a terrorist group, falling in step with Trump’s recent similar pronouncement?

Im a little worried about your complete surrender to fascism.

Fuck the UK hierarchy. Did you see the massive protests against him? The biggest ever photo of rump and epstein grinning together? Did you see their press coverage.?

You can be an appeaser if you want. Most of us will continue to fight for our once great nation.

I don’t need your worry or your chastisement regarding your perception that I have surrendered. I am a realist who hopes for the best but prepares for the worst. I have been protesting in everything my local Democrats have organized and more and will continue to do so. If that’s your idea of being an appeaser, so be it. I subscribe to this site to share my thoughts and concerns about the state of affairs with like minded people, not to be insulted by you or anyone else. Have a good day.

Unfortunately, the fact that first amendment rights are now extinct and the very real economic threats from this regime would deter any entity from developing a film based on Mr Cohen’s story.

Thanks for giving up in advance. Pssst: If you actually exercise your First Amendment rights, you might find they're more lively than you think.

I do feel grateful for Michael's words - there is something different from one who was "in the midst of"...yes, to be angry for how Michael helped this whole Trump shit show, but it's lots bigger than him. We have to work together and not pick at each other if we are to make concerted efforts to stop the facism at work right before our eyes.

This is holy witness. Solitary is not discipline. It is slow theft of personhood. Thank you for naming what power wants hidden. We owe you more than platitudes. We owe you action. Read. Share. Show up.

Michael....

I hope that you recover and thanks so much for all of the good work you are doing. You have really changed your life and are doing many good things to fight these horrific and reprehensible people.

I do hope that you can also get some help in whatever form that may be -- perhaps therapy, someone to talk to, whatever that is.

Peace.

Dear Michael, Thank you so very much for your truth and honesty about your experience. I stand with you against this very sort of cruelty and abuse, and every other kind of it wherever it exists or is the norm for vile berhavior against any other human being. I have heard from people close to me about their experiences in solitary confinement and I stand with all of you as an advocate for decency and kindness across the board. Noone should ever be subjected to this horror.

We are all here to fight for our democracy. We support you!

I can't even imagine the mental agony that you suffered at the expense of this evil person in charge of our country.

We must defeat and purge this type of evil and prevent it from ever happening again, so future generations will never have to experience what you did, and what the nation and world is experiencing at the hands of only a few evil dictators.

At the end of the day we are all human. We all make mistakes. It's how we learn and grow from those mistakes that make us who we are. If we treat others with compassion and empathy then we are good human beings. Thank you for writing about your experience and learning from your mistakes. ✌️💙🌎
