Ben, as a Canadian watching the shit show and corruption in your country, you are a hero that refuses to back down and speaks the truth. We support the protests and defiance of the those who are not maggats. Stay strong and vacation in our country where you will be welcome and not discriminated. Your nightmare will end. 🇨🇦💪

I will be vacationing with my Canadian family up in Canada at the end of August. Unfortunately several Canadian friends have been victimized by idiot MAGATs when they were visiting in Buffalo, NY. If I ever find out who they are there will be hell to pay. No wonder Canadians don't want to come to the US.

It’s sad but neither I nor any of my friends and relatives will be visiting the U.S. while the repulsive felon is President. We live near the border of Sarnia & Port Huron however sorry/not sorry no way in hell are we going south.

Keep in mind that ANY STATE that has a single industry/business that controls revenues sacrifices CONTROL. It may be gambling in NEVADA, but it's DIRTY COAL in other staters.

In one of the books about LAS VEGAS, one of the casino owners was asked why he didn't run for office & his response was essentially 'why should I run for office when I can buy politcians.'

CASINOS in Atlantic City destroyed the area because they weren't controlled appropriately & the area was HIGH POVERTY. The FEDERAL RESERVE did a study & determined that the pay was so low, 2 or 3 jobs were required - regardless of what they claim. In addition, no one with a criminal record could work there.

NEW JERSEY CASINO WORKERS were brought to MASSACHUSETTS to testify before the state legislature about how wonderful their jobs were & how well paid they were.

I grew up in NEW YORK & when our community in MASSACHUSETTS was confronted with a NATIVE AMERICAN CASINO, a childhood friend commented that CASINOS had FREE BUSES in NEW YORK that would take gamblers to ATLANTIC CITY - give them a few dollars to get started gambling. His parents would take the FREE BUS & have LUNCH! The never gambled.

I believe FREE BUSES were stopped when the HOMELESS discovered the FREE LUNCH.

DAVID CAY JOHNSTON wrote 2 thoroughly researched books about TRUMP'S CASINO follies. In violation of NJ GAMING LAW, both TRUMP & MERV GRIFFIN applied for licenses with NO PERSONAL INVESTTMENT of their own. Books should be archived at your local library if you still have one. Trump was busy pursuing the next wife while building the next casino.

PERSKE was the legislator who wrote the gaming regulations, went on to become CHAIR of the commission, then became a JUDGE, left amid scandal.

Trump would send a LIMO to pick up underage gamblers.

There was also his YACHT at the time.

It's an interessting side note that BLACK employees were removed from the gambling floor when Trump arrived.

All employees signed NDA so not much was revealed at the time.

The 10 Poorest Cities In New Jersey For 2024

The poorest places in New Jersey are Atlantic City and Salem for 2024 based on Saturday Night Science.

excerpt:

Like all states, New Jersey has certain places that are going on hard times. These New Jersey places have an above-average percentage of people living in poverty, out of work, or not making as much as they should be.

Even as the economy continues to improve, it’s worthwhile to look at the places in each state struggling to make ends meet. So we set our sites on locating the poorest places in New Jersey.

To do so, we used Saturday Night Science to analyze the newest Census data from the American Community Survey for the 190 cities in New Jersey with more than 5,000 people.

The 10 Poorest Cities In New Jersey For 2024

1. Atlantic City

Population: 38,487

Rank Last Year: 2 (Up 1)

Median Income: $35,188 (2nd lowest)

Poverty Rate: 32.4% (2nd highest)

People In Poverty: 12,469

More on Atlantic City: Data | Crime | Cost Of Living

Atlantic City, unfortunately, ranks as the poorest place in New Jersey thanks to combination of low pay and and a lack of jobs.

The city of 38,487 people averages the 2nd lowest median household income in New Jersey and the 2nd highest poverty rate. At the very least, the cost of living ranks in the bottom 15% of place in the state, so things like housing are relatively affordable.

Yes, trump’s reputation is well known in the New York / New Jersey area. He’s a mobster, a crime boss, who laundered money through his casinos and high end real estate holdings.

“Trump’s Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City, which Trump developed and later had a partial ownership stake in, was repeatedly cited for deficiencies in its anti-money laundering controls.

“Penalties: The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) imposed a $10 million civil penalty on the Trump Taj Mahal in 2015 for willful and repeated violations of the Bank Secrecy Act. This included violations of requirements related to anti-money laundering programs, reporting obligations, and recordkeeping. The casino had a history of such violations dating back to 2003, according to FinCEN.gov.

Specific Violations: Regulators found instances of "apparent laundering of funds" using slot machine tickets and a failure to track gamblers who deliberately cashed out in smaller payments to avoid federal reporting requirements. The casino also failed to file a significant percentage of required suspicious activity reports.

Trump's Role: By the time of the 2015 penalty, Trump's involvement with the Taj Mahal was largely financial, as he had declared bankruptcy and had limited direct involvement in the casino's day-to-day operations since 2009.”

"It goes to the old adage of 'follow the money.' If there was collusion between the Russians and members of the Trump campaign, was it for free or was there some exchange of moneys or payments from foreign governments?" he adds.

“Trump made much of his fortune in real estate and gaming, two industries that have been notorious venues for money laundering.

“The Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, which opened in 1990 and closed in 2016, was repeatedly cited for having inadequate money-laundering controls, not an unusual charge in the gaming business”

Several news outlets reported on this issue, some of which included Russian involvement:

This is how a country is run under a corporation. So many executives have his ear (and balla).

Terry's avatar

Here lies the problem. Do you know how many magas I've heard say the US is a corporation? When I ask for them to cite a source, crickets. How tf they came up that this country is a corporation, is beyond me. Some crazy Q talk?

Bev Kummerling's avatar

We were just talking about that today. How convicted felon 47 convinced his voters he was a good business man and that is why they voted for him. Shame on their ignorance to think the country can be run likea business. Sad. Very sad.

Terry's avatar

Yes! And when you start listing his bankruptcies, their response is the typical,

nuu uhhh!! They know nothing about trump vodka, trump wine, trump water, trump steaks, the casinos he bankrupt, the list is long. No bank in the US would loan to him. How he stole money from a child's cancer charity, so he's not allowed to hold a charity function in NY again. Again, nuu uhhh, is all you hear. Maga are wild. Their whole personality is trump. Yet everything they are, that trump is, they want to turn on us, turn on Biden and Kamala. There's actually a word for it. It's an accufession. Making an accusation that's a confession. The urban dictionary has it in their online dictionary with an example using trump. 😂

Janet Hains's avatar

So good to hear from someone standing up for the people. I think the current governor of NV has never heard the old adage “ when you play with snakes you will get bitten”.

Blanca's avatar

Calling tRump a dictator might be an insult to dictators. Why? He is a thief, a thug, a liar, and has an incredible sense of self who must be blindly obeyed. Dictators at least start by having a belief- tRump began with only one goal - get as rich as possible (run sucking the federal coffers) and revenge against those who he believes have done him wrong.

People got conned! Anyone who feels wronged should express their feelings at the voting booth without regard to party affiliation! Simple.

Merry's avatar

Trump is also a mobster, a crime boss, who laundered money through his casinos and high end real estate holdings. So Nevada would obviously be of special interest to him.

AND guess who funded some of his projects? Uh, Russia and Saudi Arabia.

“Trump’s Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City, which Trump developed and later had a partial ownership stake in, was repeatedly cited for deficiencies in its anti-money laundering controls.

You know- I've been in healthcare 47+ years as a nurse. Some days are more trying than others with people's personalities (and the majority of people are kind)- but you know what? If I said what the Nevada person said, I'd be fired (and rightfully so). Why do all of these congress/senators/local political people think they can just address their constituents in whatever manner they'd like to. (I know TACO does is to it must be ok). I hope the people of these states vote them out (no matter if they're republican or democrat)- no one has the right to speak to the people who voted for them like that.

🍁 Elbows UP! 🏒

The 2025 summer protests against a Made-in-USA dictatorship were a historic turning point in America.

It was when citizens started to really care about their communities, each other, and where their country was headed.

It was when AI held the mirror up, and forced us to see what it means to be human, and where we had drifted to instead.

But, we are caught in this very moment right NOW. Not, tomorrow, and not next year.

We will be known and remembered for what we did NOW, this year - all of eternity.

So, take a few seconds to reflect on what you want before you head out:

is it affordability for the basic needs of survival?

is it having shelter as a right?

is it freedom to speak and be who you are, as long as it's not to harm others?

is it safety, where criminals and monsters don't control and invade your life?

is it having a say in how your country runs?

is it a demand for responsible government that must be responsive to its constituents?

is it having an accountable justice system that works?

is it having reliable safety nets such as Medicare, that are easy to access?

is it how you age out of life?

is it an education system that allows kids to enter adult life?

is it being able to participate fully in an economy that's based on fair and equitable transactions?

FIGHT the TRUMP TAKEOVER was organized on short notice, after Trump accelerated his rigging of the 2026 midterms.

People got distracted by the Epstein files. They were not paying attention to what Trump was doing with elections.

But, as it turned out, the Epstein files documented a long FBI investigation that started under George Bush Jr, which seemed to be about a sex-trade coercion scheme to control powerful people.

The Epstein files were requested by the DHS Senate committee, to be delivered to Schumer today.

Trump missed the deadline. Instead, he arranged an unusual meeting with Putin in Alaska.

Inside the 7 hour Trump/Putin summit was another 90-minute private meeting between the two leaders, attended only by their interpreters (3:49pm - 5:13pm EDT). This would be like calling a cabinet meeting, where two members excuse themselves to talk in the closet.

This inner meeting, excluded not just Ukraine but also critical U.S. officials who should have been present.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who should have remained in Washington to manage the escalating ICE deployments and respond to Schumer’s legal threats over the Epstein files, was instead waiting outside the door in Alaska.

Vice President J.D. Vance, who would normally assume command responsibilities in Rubio’s absence, was also missing from D.C., reportedly traveling.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was present at the summit but not included in the core negotiation, despite that the military implications of the 90 minute meeting fell under his department.

The absence of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy from a summit supposedly aimed at ending the Ukraine war rendered the peace talks as not being actual peace talks between two warring parties. It's like trying to clap with one hand.

The meeting’s structure and secrecy suggest it was less about diplomacy and more about contingency planning, with Trump potentially negotiating personal terms with Putin.

If this was about Putin giving Trump sanctuary after the release of the Epstein files, Putin wouldn't offer it for free.

Putin cannot stand Trump. He does not have the patience to sit through Trump's endless rambling without ever getting to a point. He has less tolerance to listen to his Alzheimer delusions. And, quite frankly, Putin cannot stand the smell of Trump's diaper.

So, if this is what happened, Trump will likely have to pay Putin to get protection.

Putin already knows Trump has no money, because of all the times Trump came asking for more. So, the only thing Trump can pay with is intelligence. Not his - but ours.

Intelligence such as all of the NATO and NORAD vulnerabilities. Schedules of troop deployment and rotations. Locations and identities of CIA operatives. Global cybersecurity infrastructure. Information Putin can use to expand his conquest of the world.

Did Putin say "yes" and give Trump an intelligence dossier shopping list?

Was this part of planning out logistics for Trump's escape plan, in case he needed it when the Epstein files got released?

If Trump was willing to compromise America this way, he probably would hold something back to keep him alive and valuable to Putin - like passwords.

But, Putin knows those could easily be changed or revoked.

Putin will take Trump in as long as he is useful. After that, he will dispose of him - either at a gulag or worse. He's done it before with his other "friends".

Was Rubio there to take Putin's shopping list and assemble everything? It would take weeks, likely a month.

Outside of Trump and Vance, Rubio is the only other person who has access to all the intelligence, wherever it is stored. He can request it without arousing any suspicion.

The only way to stop this IF IT HAPPENS, is to substitute the real files with fake ones, so that Trump hands over irrelevant or misleading information unknowingly that damages Putin's ability to wage war.
