Well, I've had a whole lot of people ask me, Brando, what kind of songs are you going to write now? And to them I say, there's going to be plenty of material going forward. I call this one Cheaper Eggs.

NEW SONG ALERT: Hope They Enjoy Cheaper Eggs

Brando’s new song “Cheaper Eggs” calls out Trump supporters prioritizing obvious lies Donald Trump told them about the economy over loved ones’ rights.
125

In a searing video, Tennessee Brando, a MeidasTouch correspondent hailing from a deeply red state, took to social media to express frustration over the 2024 election outcome, asserting that many Trump supporters have “sold out their daughters’ futures for a carton of eggs.” Brando, who’s built a reputation for outspoken critiques of MAGA culture, delivers a stinging message about the stark choice he sees Americans facing—between empathy for family and friends or the allure of a cheaper grocery bill based on lies told by Donald Trump. The further irony, of course, is that inflation has cooled to target levels under the Biden-Harris administration following the economic devastation left by the previous Trump administration.

Brando’s thoughts come to life in his latest song, “Cheaper Eggs,” which layers sharp lyrics over an acoustic guitar melody to capture the disappointment of witnessing loved ones falling for Trump’s lies over protecting their loved ones lives. In his video, Brando denounces the trade-off some families make by turning a blind eye to harmful policies in exchange for economic promises. “They took a look at everything going on in the world… and they chose the grocery bill over their daughter,” he says.

Through his lyrics, Brando critiques Trump supporters who believe in economic relief through “cheaper eggs” yet fail to understand the broader implications, particularly for marginalized groups. His lyrics reflect this painful irony: “They sold out their daughters and threw away their friends / On a senseless notion, it could all be great again.”

Share

The song is more than a criticism; it’s a lamentation and a call to recognize the real impact of such decisions. He warns that the consequences of these choices will likely haunt those who made them, as family ties erode over time. As he sings, “When they scream ‘we didn’t vote for this,’ remind them ‘yes, you did.’ And ask them how it’s going with those cheaper eggs.”

In both his video and song, Brando shows how the MAGA movement’s loyalty to Trump, even at the cost of personal relationships, highlights a disturbing dynamic—where economic concerns are amplified, even as the well-being of loved ones is disregarded. Brando’s message to his fans is clear: voting for Trump based on the promise of cheaper groceries is not worth the cost of alienating those we care about, and someday, they may be left with only their cheap eggs and regrets.

Here are the full lyrics for “Cheaper Eggs” by Tennessee Brando:

The red hats are flexing,

They’re all acting thrilled

They don’t know how tariffs work

By soon they sure will

They think the leader saved them

He’s restored their faith

But we see they cut their noses off

To spite their on face

They sold out their daughters,

Threw away their friends

On a senseless notion it would all be great again.

But when they scream we didn’t vote for this remind them that they did

And ask them how it’s going with them cheaper eggs

We pointed out the obvious

They called us a liar

Got their information straight from a dumpster fire

Now they’re turning up the hatred, beating their own chest

For a man who wouldn’t wipe his nose on their Sunday best

They pinned all their faith on the Devil’s coat

So now is their time to all sit back and gloat

But once the dust settles and reality creeps in

They’ll slowly realize the true enemy within

I work at a Specialty food store aka bougee grocery and ONE DAY after the election results, they began to raise prices. The store was already hit with a markup on meat from suppliers. I suggest stocking up on shelf stable items again. Especially cleaning and toiletry supplies. Some boxing lessons and pepper spray for our daughters…….

Great song. A 20 year old Hispanic guy I know went to work the day following the election. A female coworker went up to him and literally started taunting him to his face, laughing that he was going to be sent back to Mexico. He was born here! His mother was born here! He has never even been to Mexico. He is just the nicest young man. I am sickened by this whole debacle.

We can take action safely when we observe this type of behavior. Please look into de-escalation training so we can all learn how to protect co-workers and friends from this kind of abuse in the future. I took several trainings so I could feel safe intervening in this kind of circumstance. https://righttobe.org/training/bystander-intervention-training/; https://www.goodgoodgood.co/podcast/the-5-ds-of-bystander-intervention.

I worked with undocumented people when I did fruit harvesting and they were all very hard workers. And they pay taxes without reaping any benefit. There should have been a path to citizenship, not mass deportations. But thanks to idiots thought that eggs were too expensive, they will be.

Love the song and this is what I've said all along, magas don't have a clue how tariffs work and groceries are just one of many item's that are going to increase under Trump.

As to women's rights, they don't give a rat's ass, about women health and well being, and trump is a predator, not a protector. If abortions are not your cup of tea, how about forced vasectomies instead?

"But once the dust settles and reality creeps in, they’ll slowly realize the true enemy within."

I'm afraid they won't. They say it's about eggs, but that's either because they don't bother to educate themselves on the causes of inflation or they need something to give them cover for their need for a "strongman" who gives them license to be horrible people.

Biden brought inflation down, significantly, yet eggs are still expensive. Why? BECAUSE OF PRICE GOUGING, not government policy. Biden tried to do something about that, but the Almighty Capitalist Dollar is King. Trump is in the pocket of the people at the top who make money, hand over fist, regardless. Do they think he'll do anything, policy-wise, that will help his voters if it will hurt his donors? Wake up, MAGA. He doesn't give a shit about you or your kitchen table issues. He's never bought a carton of eggs in his life and isn't about to start now. If inflation spikes because of his ridiculous tariff scheme, he won't care because he doesn't intend to run again, ever.

Gas went up because Putin invaded Ukraine, not because of anything Biden did. And Trump will give Putin a free pass to do whatever the hell he wants because Putin pulls his strings. Biden worked hard to bring gas prices down (successfully) and Trump slammed him for drawing down the Strategic Oil reserves. Do they really think Trump will fight to keep gas prices down when Big Oil has bought and paid for him?

Will they ever connect the dots between rising prices and the economic disruption that resulted from Trump's mishandling of COVID?

Anybody who voted for Trump again, with all we know about him as a person and as the most inept POTUS in history, will never see him for who he is and will never hold him accountable. They've got too much invested in him and people hate to admit when they're wrong. They've had 8 years of losing friends, family, co-workers, jobs and sometimes, their health, 8 years of waking up to one headline after another revealing Trump's mendacity, corruption, cruelty, self-dealing, sedition, incompetence, criminality, racism, sexism, homophobia, disloyalty and, above all, his contempt for them. They will never repudiate Trump because they have either willfully ignored these things or actively approve of them.

Dear Meidas. I am a padi subscriber, though I keep being told I'm not. HOWEVER, the ELECTION WAS NOT WON BY TRUMP but by ELON MUSK spreading DISINFORMATION BIG TIME on X and elsewhere. Musk believes in climate crisis and is building himself a commune shelter for his 11 children and 3 wives in Texas that will protect them from climate catastrophe. Musk is a white supremacist and evil like his father Errol Musk, as was Trump's father Fred Drumph, and Musk doesn't care if more people die due to climate catastrophe, because population explosion is as much of a problem for MOTHER EARTH as are fossil fuel emissions and the micro-plastic pollution made from petroleum! Musk is saving his white genes on Earth and preparing for Life on Mars, too. Please tell more truth about how the ELECTION WAS WON BY DISINFORMATION spread by Elon Musk via satellite and X and Putin. How did half the country forget how to think? Or maybe, this indecent president and his racism and sexism is exactly what they want. They did in Germany in the 30s, so I guess we're no different. Hi Meidas Mighty! Okay, so there are a bunch of errors in the transcript of Tennessee's song. In the spirit of helpfulness, here are the corrected lyrics, as are sung in the video:

“Cheaper Eggs” by Tennessee Brando:

The red hats are flexing,

They’re all acting thrilled

They don’t know how tariffs work

But soon they sure will

They think their leader saved them and

He’s restored their faith

But we see they cut their noses off

To spite their own face

They sold out their daughters,

and they threw away their friends

On a senseless notion

it could all be great again.

When they scream we didn’t vote for this

remind them: yes they did

And ask them how it’s going

with them cheaper eggs

We pointed out the obvious

They called us a liar

Got their information straight

from a dumpster fire

Now they’re turning up the hatred,

and their thumpin' on their chests

For a man who wouldn’t wipe his nose

on their Sunday best

They pinned all their faith

on the Devil’s goat

So now is the time

they can all sit back and gloat

But once the dust settles

and reality creeps in

They’ll slowly realize

the true enemy within

But they sold out their daughters,

and they threw away their friends

On a senseless notion

it could all be great again.

When they scream we didn’t vote for this

remind them: yes you did

And ask them how it’s going

with those cheaper eggs

... I really hope it's worth it

for them cheaper eggs.

HOW ABOUT SOME FINANCIAL MARKET PRESSURE TO PRESS OUR CAUSE NOW! WE CAN DO SOMETHING NOW! JANUARY IS TOO LATE!

While I appreciate and support everyone's effort to exhaust every 'normal' legal avenue to undo the undoing of our precious Democracy, I think what rails are left lead to a dead end. I believe there is something more we can DO to be heard. Only dialects of EXCESS, GREED and MONEY are spoken now! WHICH IS THEIR POWER over us! I have an enhancement to the approach...

How about for the first time, THE CITIZENS collectively send very loud message to the current congress in a language they understand to DO THEIR JOBS for the PEOPLE to start drafting some CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS and enacting them to protect our country the way it was always intended--NOW! We now hold that metaphorical gun to the head. They know what we want: 1) No one is above the law! Again! We are not a dictatorship or oligarchy. 2) Lethal or abusive military force against the citizens is unlawful; military must not follow unlawful orders. 3) SCOTUS needs to be held to ethical standards and prevented from morphing who we fundamentally are. None of these requests are even 'changes.' You know the rest...

What is our weapon? Our MONEY! They divided us, but in far too coarse of groups! We have half of labor, half of consumption, half of retirement/other assets, etc. As far as I know, we still have the FREEDOM to do with those as we wish within the confines of current law. MAGA supporters all have fond memories of the first Trump administration. They liked the Covid pandemic where over a MILLION PEOPLE DIED because of the abysmal response and misinformation campaigns contributing to the bottom line. Above all, they 'remember' how much 'better' the economy and employment conditions were with all the stimulus checks flowing and debt piling up--so much so they delivered us a convicted criminal Charlatan with unchecked power to rule over us. Our representatives have sampled the global landscape and decided it is much easier (and more to their benefit) when the people have no real choice--a mindless, divided, anger-fueled economic powerhouse for them to play with. The only real difference between us and our major adversaries now is that we gladly PAY for everything that surveils, tracks and controls us. We are three months away from unofficially becoming China or Russia.

This is a sample list of activities and behaviors for how to resist and fight back with our collective consumption, labor and boycott power--our free choices and MONEY:

* Truth social--it's an oxymoron--turn it off, never look again. Make it the failing lie it always was.

* WAPO subscription--should have canceled that weeks ago.

* Any other corporate media that won't speak truth to power or are pure lies and propaganda? Cancel them. Cancel the whole package. Unplug as many cords/services as you can. This trash is how we got here.

* X--Even the name is stupid. Delete your account. Never look again. Deprogram.

* Tesla--Don't buy one. If you have one: disconnect it, deface it :).

* Amazon--cancel it if you can get by. Limit purchases to minimum. Got some things you've been meaning to return? Now's a good time. Itching to watch Prime Video? Don't rent. Don't buy. You don't 'own' any of it--it owns you. Shop Ali, TEMU and eBay until we have a permanent alternative--they have all the same Chinese stuff.

* Netflix/other? No. Cancel. We can re-enroll when the subscription prices drop or wait for the other services to ditch ads we pay for.

* Limit gas/energy usage to what is essential. Get supplies that you can from local 'stores.' Remember those? Avoid the known 'monopolies,' try a local business out?

* Avoid the largest corporate powerhouses. Make them notice. Drinking Coke or other sodas? Stop. Fancy canned water? They own that too. Stop. Drink tap water--filter it if you must. Beer/liquor? Avoid the big names or stop drinking.

* Got some extra MONEY in your bank accounts? Go withdraw substantial amounts of cash you can/are comfortable bringing home, passing it around your family marveling at its relative uselessness. Donate some money to 'resistance' legal causes to press our case. Flash your tiny wads all over YouTube so that our representatives can see their crack in other people's hands.

* Spend comfortably with friendlies. Only minor trickle to the enemies.

* Any subscription-based software you're not using now? Cancel.

* No unnecessary air/train/bus travel/fuel usage. Remember how our transportation systems have held us hostage in the past? Their turn.

* Considering buying a new car? Don't. We can bail them out in a few months after the price drops on the inventory sitting on lots.

* New house? Just wait.

* Day trader? Make cash withdrawals, freeze accounts. Slow the cancerous lifeblood flow. Pick some penny enemy stocks and short them--just small amounts for entertainment.

* Retirement/other accounts? Take a distribution or close smaller ones out. Marvel at trickle--down. Screw penalties. Deposit them in your bank account, pull out small cash wads. Flash them on YouTube. We need to hold the gambling dice for a while--let the enemy bet on insect races.

* Better yet, take direct control over your retirement/investments. We decide winners and losers, friends and enemies. We flow the power from our enemies to our friends.

* Are you close to retirement? Don't like your job climate? Just retire. You're safe--go first. Only retire for 2 to 4 years, if that's what you want.

* Credit cards? Switch to some cash for a while. Starve them of the fees.

* Let's celebrate the holidays different this year, especially Christmas. Were you gonna buy a bunch of material junk for your family to show them you love them? BUY ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Tell your family you love them--all that stuff sitting on warehouse shelves will be extra-discounted in a few months. Do Thanksgiving without Turkeys and ham. Try some new food--sushi this year.

More drastic measures:

* Can afford it and don't really like your non-essential job? Just don't go for a few months. Better yet, figure out how to get let go. Collect unemployment and be the welfare queen you are accused of being.

* Musk employee? We know Elon can take pay and credit for 200,000+ highly educated/skilled people, but do any of you brilliant folks want to split off and do you're own genius? VCs will be abundant in a few months if we do this right.

* Amazon worker? Just go when you feel like it. Take turns with excuses like long covid, actual covid, mysterious vaccine reaction--this is what MAGA did after attending super spreader events. Your turn.

* Pissed at bacon/egg prices? Don't buy or eat any for several months. Let MAGA eat the cheap poison.

* What else is being gouged? Don't buy that shit. Eat a banana or whatever is cheaper. Eat more expensive if you can--throw the money at locals/friendlies.

* Pissed that McDonald's doesn't have 49-cent cheeseburgers? Don't eat that crap. Don't like working there? Don't quit. Just don't go unless you must. MAGA can pick up your slack.

* Trump property employee? Don't go. Get another job across the street. They will need you back after feces piles up in a few weeks! They can't open doors or pick up their own golf balls or clubs. We've seen it for years now. They need you more than you need them. Make them pay you double to come back.

* Wal-Mart? They won't even miss you--don't even call in. We're not shopping there right now. Get laid off.

* Are you an IT guy that shows all the people around you how to work a computer? Let them 'Google' it for a while.

* You get the idea... We know the enemies. Do more research--identify more for the list. Think in terms of concentrated MONEY. Divide it. Relocate it.

* 3 or 4 month long overdue vacations from Thanksgiving through Easter or more if that's what it takes.

* Medical professionals that endured/weathered Covid while our government made it even worse? Write some doctors' notes for our workforce that is clearly seeing the 19th wave or very latent vaccine side-effects.

Phase 1: Threat--we're not experts on the consequences of pulling all these levers, but we are going to do it anyway if we don't see evidence of action. Make it reach our representatives. Unlikely, but perhaps they will come to their senses before we act. We don't need to wait on everything; we can take smaller obvious measures right now. We should do it any way.

Phase 2: We act more, increase pressure. Our goal is to 'STREAM THE CAPITOL.' We want to see them working, negotiating and working on the solutions. SCOTUS can sit in a timeout corner and take a refresher in English and what 'words' mean. If not, we push more buttons and pull harder on the levers.

Phase 3: Based on what we observe, either we release some pressure or apply more as needed. We will either succeed or fail. Compromise is OK, but we want our critical guardrails back in place.

Phase 4: Monitor. We remain vigilant and remember where the levers and buttons are. When we see the guardrails coming off, we act again. If we observe elements of Project 2025 emerging, we will break the levers and throw wrenches and sand in every gear we can identify!

Trump has prophesied a recession (or crash) for years. Help the saboteur. Let's give him what he craves, but only against major oppressors. If nothing else, the crises will distract from his reckless agenda.

Upvote so the talking heads will take notice. Report and MAKE the news. Stop whining. Do something. We need them to help us organize and get our message out. With a central nervous system, we can focus the attacks!

Thank you, Brando. Spot on, and I'm equally disgusted by those that didn't vote at all because of 1 thing or another. 😡

This song is brilliant … with just a sufficient pinch of dry humour . It points out the facts and once the penny drops a lotta people are goin to be mighty annoyed with THEMSELVES .

Great song 🥚🥚🥚💥👀😮‍💨🎤🎶🎸

The Election was not won by TRUMP. Be real. It was won by DISINFORMATION spread by Elon Musk with millions of followers on X, plus by satellite and with help from Putin and Peter Thiel, etc...White Supremacist Billionaire oligarchs. THINK: Russian is the last all white country of the big developed nations on Earth!!! Musk wants to be a PUTIN, as does Trump....Russia also spread disinformation to assure Trump's win!!!

Thank you Brandon for speaking what I feel. I am crushed not so much by the despicable human being who will become president but by the millions of my fellow Americans who think a president can change the price of eggs and who were willing to sell me and millions of women down the river as well as others who will suffer as government programs are cut and our Allies abroad are abandoned. How did half the country forget how to think? Or maybe, this indecent president and his racism and sexism is exactly what they want. They did in Germany in the 30s, so I guess we're no different. Oh god, so much suffering is coming, and now I'm hurt and afraid of more than half the people in my own country. Where has decency gone?

I wish more men were like you! 🇺🇸

What was up with all the Democrats that didn’t even bother to show up and vote?

I hate that my young adult kids have had to grow up in this era!

It’s astonishing how one man can do so much damage to an entire country!

MAGA ugliness and attacks are beginning to be directed against our most vulnerable children, friends, strangers who are not white, female, LGBTQ+ or different in any way from the bullies who are in their face. YOU CAN take action safely. Please look into de-escalation training so we can all learn how to protect friends, co-workers and strangers from this kind of abuse. After 2016, I took several trainings so I could feel safe intervening in these kind of circumstance. https://righttobe.org/training/bystander-intervention-training/; https://www.goodgoodgood.co/podcast/the-5-ds-of-bystander-intervention. Together, we must make sure the victims of this election know that they are not alone and that we care. By next Thanksgiving, we'll be able to discuss the impact of this election on people we know. Stop the spread of more lies about MAGA success with, "When you say ___, I feel ___. Let's make it real for the clueless.

On a senseless notion it could all be great again. When they scream we didn't vote for this, remind them yes you did. And ask them how it's going with them cheaper eggs. We pointed out the obvious, they called us a liar Got their information straight from a dumpster fire Now
