No he is not, see my comment below. If the Iranians are willing to use nukes against anyone for any reason, we must stop them from getting the chance to use the nukes as weapons.

Israel is just defending itself. Sorry you do not like that, why do not you go live in Iran if it such a great country!

Israel has killed over 50,000 children in Gaza. You call that defending yourself? I wouldn't want to live in Iran or Israel. I never said Iran is a great country. I said I'm more worried about Israel's nuclear program than I am Iran's.

Just go to one of the AIs and ask how many children has Israel killed in Gaza and you might learn something. I don't call slaughtering children self defense.

Here's what co pilot said:

UNICEF has also stated that more than 50,000 children have been killed or injured during this period

So not all were killed but that doesn't justify what Israel is doing and they add to the total everyday.

Images and videos of explosions, fires, protests and weapons went viral after the US June 21 attacks on 3 Iranian nuclear sites — but many of them didn’t show what was actually happening.

Instead, they were generated by AI (artificial intelligence)

The fact that Trump would overstate something is the only fact related to Trump. He never tells the truth! So yes, his actions put us in much greater danger.

CNN now: "Early Assessment Suggests US Strikes Didn't Destroy Iran's Nuclear Sites."

Trump is genuinely delusional. He thinks if he says something, that alone makes it true. The same goes for his so called "cease fire" which will bring lasting peace and love to the Middle East while the combatants are still hammering at each other. He just wants his Nobel Prize. He has absolutely no credibility. That's what comes from a lifetime of lying and bloviating. Incredibly, he's insisting on an apology from CNN for contradicting his delusions.

Update 6/25: CNN: "Trump maintains Iran strikes caused 'total obliteration'"

Trump insists that he knows better than the intelligence apparatus. He's certifiably insane, which makes him extremely dangerous. Reminds me of when he insisted that Hillary and Obama "literally" founded ISIS and then doubled down when given a chance to clarify what he meant.

This whole situation reeks of obfuscation and falsehood. If there were fissile materials in those bombed locations wouldn't there be some leak of radiation? Some reports say there were photos of trucks lined up in days before...?to transport people, objects, material?. Why say he needs two weeks, then drop bombs 2 days later? If he doesn't believe DNI and US intelligence, who's info is he going on? How can he claim "obliteration" without proof? Why would Iran warn US b4 bombing our military bases in Qatar or Iraq? How could he keep our intelligence services busy tracking down migrant "criminals" when there's a possibility of terrorism on US soil? WTF? What is really going on?

It all seems like some kind of game for reality tv. Someone should take Trump's FOX channel away from him. They played up the war and Trump decided he wanted in on the action. I feel very sad. The President is insane, and no one will do anything to stop him.

I suppose we can rightly question a paper called "Tehran Times." And yes, I read the article and the "About Us" tab. In any case there is no reason to believe they would fabricate that claim. The real test will be time and what action Iran will take, beyond token, face saving, bombing of bases in Qatar.

And then of course Israel. Talk about a wild card.

This is FUBAR.

WILLIAM CASH's avatar

Why do people keep believing what he says? The man doesn't know how to tell the truth. He was so anxious to jump in front of Israel's bombing that they didn't properly prepare. It's a typical trump operation, mostly pr. He needed something to regain control of the news cycle and this was it. The media, as usual, just went along with it.

not mention their centrifuges, lab equipment, files, engineers, scientists and, oh yeah, that 880 lbs of 60% enriched uranium--packaged so it could go into the trunks of about ten cars.

There are numerous satellite images showing cargo trucks lined up at the Fordo facility. It's absolutely certain that they still have their capabilities--only now, we have no idea where it all is hidden. Good job, pResident Moron.

PS. Maybe, 'stable genius', you should actually SPEAK WITH the parties for whom you want to broker a ceasefire? Hmmm?

The amount of space required to transport 400kg of HEU was likely overstated by the NYT based on the casks normally used to store it. Uranium is ... dense. That amount is only about 2/3 of a cubic foot and could be carried in a soccer mom van.

Why would they not transport it in the casks? Won't it make you glow in the dark if you merely step into the room with it for a few seconds?

Well, no. It's radioactive, sure, but doesn't pose a serious risk over the short time required for a transport.

If they wanted to play whack-a-mole they could line up ten trucks, put it in one, and send them all in different directions.

Expand full comment
Bad Bunny's avatar

It's true that the published penetration depth is only 2/3 the likely depth of the Fordow facility. But published numbers aren't always accurate because they're used for disinformation purposes.

For example the published maximum ranges of our HIMARS and ATACMS missiles are likely understated, to give adversaries a false sense of security.

The best data are provided by the after-action battle damage assessment, and the preliminary BDA leaked yesterday indicates the damage fell short of "obliteration" and the program would be set back only a matter of months.
