An LDS lawyer argues that Kamala Harris’s integrity, respect for the Constitution, and commitment to uniting the country make her the right choice to lead America forward.
I can say the same things. The scriptures teach us (among many other things) that love and hope are greater than fear. This is one of the values that I took to the ballot box (or, this year, the mailbox) as I cast my vote for Kamala Harris.
This letter gives me hope that we Americans can live together in peace and mutual respect, something that Trump has made to seem impossible. Thank you for writing wisely and tolerantly.
I am also a Utah Mormon and I am very proud to have Kamala Harris. I was so relieved when she stepped into the ring. My prayers and fasting were answered. I believe that she will do as President Nelson said she will uplift and unify our country. Our leaders have warned us for years in general conference about Trump and following Trump. I know the Lord has also been listening and he is answering.
I'm so glad you shared this. I did not know this about your leaders. It's great to hear but on reflection not so surprising. I have family members who are LDS, and I had the good fortune to have two young families who are LDS as neighbors in close quarters (UVA family housing). I can't imagine them watching Trump with anything other than shock and dismay. Your post was really heartening, so thank you. 😊
May I respectfully submit that VP Harris does not respect the constitution. If she did she would NOT be supporting Biden's open ended, full fledged push to welcome 12 million ILLEGAL aliens in the last four years, Biden's effort has brought fentanyl, (100,000 American citizens dead/year). Sex trafficking of children, (300,000 unaccounted for). Rape of many females on the road here. How many rapes, kidnappings, murders, and please don't forget the famous gang Biden/Harris have welcomed in. VP Harris has NOT been committed to "uniting the country". I find it a bit ironic in light of the fact that my recent "COME FOLLOW ME" scripture study tells me Faith means being obedient to God's commandments. Can anyone tell me where VP Harris stands on "TRANS" issues such as a bio man competing in women's sports, with women being required to share locker rooms, showers with (HIS/"hers") FULL male genitalia in full regalia? Does VP Harris support a supreme court justice who an not tell me what a woman is?

Hearing this gives me even more hope. When she is sworn in, the work begins. Maybe, just maybe she can be a transformative potus, and world leader.
If the senate holds for her(us), then there is a chance for a needed rebalance in many areas of governance. Including judicial.
