here's the thing i remind myself. Trump is 79 years old. Every day he looks more crazy, more tired, more ill. He won't last forever, in fact, I'd be surprised if he lasts until midterms. Once he's gone, the movement will fracture. There will be infighting, backstabbing, a dozen guys all trying to replace him but they won't be able to. Whatever it is that MAGA finds so great about him (Gag), the other people don't have it. All those millions of magas will also fracture, some following one guy, some another, some another until they are nothing but a bunch of different lunatics with no power.

You are correct, Michael, but the battle between fact and fiction, truth and lies, and data and conspiracy is not going to be easy at all. So many people, some I am related to, are so embedded in the cult, fox news, joe rogan, orange jesus, lies, hate, racism, violence, and chaos that they have no grasp of reality. How do you talk with a raging, scatterbrained, psychotic, lunatic? It doesn't happen. There might be a few who come to their senses after a great deal of deprogramming, but the only way these people will learn anything is when it gets so bad for them that they no longer can believe their own lies.
As their safety net rots, their support system crumbles, hospitals close, their kids go hungry and without health ins, their crops rot, their jobs disappear, their FEMA handouts end, their NOAA weather alerts fail to announce ongoing tornadoes, and as they have their home foreclosed and their small businesses fail due to lack of customers and workers, maybe the light finallygoes on in their dim, deluded, disturbed brains. It's really the only hope.
