Must report back I’ve been a bit disappointed with this duo thus far. Guess I was hoping (given their ages) they’d be a bit more progressive. Am struggling to relate to their views overall…guess they can’t appeal to everyone!

Last fall I went to a party of younger people and tried to discuss the importance of politics and was shut down by the younger families as irrelevant. I hope those friends do another party this fall so that I can try again to be relevant in their lives. I was fortunate enough to be born into a family that was politically involved and hope I can help show the importance to these younger people.

Same here. Bc of previous ethical and strong democracy, younger generations have not had to worry about politics. Now it's an obligation and they need to come forward to carry the torch for their future. They will not appreciate what is to come.

It's too dangerous to ignore now. Most young people I talk to are shocked by what is happening. They need to know their power to get involved. Their voice is important and must be heard. We must stand together to fight for our country.

They need a chance to discuss how politics IS their jobs, their wages, their healthcare, their mortgage rates, their groceries, their children's education; just every bit of their day-to-day lives. So many have never been taught or shown the connection.

As was mentioned in this podcast, we need to learn (or re-learn) how to go about having a normal discussion where varying points of view can each confidently exist without being threatened. In network media we too often see disparaging comments as being 'par for the course' - they are NOT, but they have become a default reaction and are not helpful in a discussion.

Trump is a relentless bully, but he can be stopped by standing up to him, and not caving in to him. There is strength in numbers.

Yes, and although he doesn't really speak to it other than to name-call, I get the feeling that he is shocked and astounded at the pushback from the judiciary, 'we the people' including his faithful, and lately, even his bought and paid for politicians. Very encouraging to me!

Ohio,Kentucky,Florida,Texas, South Carolina, Arkansas, just a few states that are so cultist, that we have to try different ways to begin to reprogram them to meet halfway. Something is better than nothing. We are on our way to living like Russian citizens.

'"Utterly reprehensible': Ex-prosecutor puts Pam Bondi on notice, for 'refusing' judge order."

"The Justice Department and Attorney General Pam Bondi are “leading the charge” to paint Kilmar Abrego Garcia as a “bad guy,” according to a new analysis from Joyce Vance.

Abrego Garcia was mistakenly sent to a prison used to house terrorists and gang members in El Salvador.

Vance laid out what we do know about the case: “Abrego Garcia came to this country illegally in 2011, at the age of 16. Since then, he has married, has a child, and is a father to his wife’s two previous children as well.”

The 29-year-old’s deportation was stopped by an immigration judge’s order.

However, Vance believes the backstory “doesn’t matter. What does matter is that Abrego Garcia, criminal or saint, was denied his due process rights by the government, and in this country, people are entitled to those rights.”

“Under our Constitution, people, whether criminals or not, whether citizens or not, are entitled to notice before action is taken against them and to a hearing in front of a judge to sort out any issues,” the former Prosecutor penned." (Raw Story)......

BTC won that debate hands down........Tomi's "fake Fox News smile" along with the dumb comments.......no wonder the fascists want to cancel the Board of Education

Thanks, Dee! SCOTUS is going to regret this, as Trump is ignoring their orders, too. SCOTUS created that immunity monster.

I have a very good friend who is an all-out trump supporter. I posted a YouTube video regarding the illegal deportations (of course, it was mainly about Mr. Garcia and the 9-0 Supreme Court order that he must be returned). She is spouting the Fox News BS about he's illegal, an MS-13 gang member, etc. I simply asked her, so, you are okay with trump defying the Supreme Court order and against due process? Of course, she never answered that in spite of my comment back to her that no matter these deportees' legal status or criminal history, they are still entitled to due process. She may go by the wayside like another dear friend who I had to unfriend due to her actually vilifying me, including some veiled threats. But I'm guessing she won't vilify me like our other common friend did, but then, she calls me occasionally when she needs help with her computer and a few other things I have done for her, like preparing some probate papers when her husband died and the PowerPoint for his memorial/celebration of life. I still have hope that my several friends and family members that are ultra MAGA will finally see the destruction he and Musk are doing to this country and its citizens and residents, no matter what party they are affiliated with.

The police brutality on this one was disgusting.

The police need to remember who pays their wages and our free speech!!

MTG and the wealthy do not pay police wages as they steal everything from the American people. The people pay police wages.

These wealthy politicians you're over protecting are the criminals NOT the people you're meant to be protecting.

Brutal force like the ICE Gestapo is horrific. They will all be held accountable.

I hope the people tasered are suing.

It's a shame people can't join commenting on pantsuit politics without being a paid subscriber. Not for me at this time as I can't afford it. I prefer podcasts that allow everyone to join in not just the people who can afford it.

This feels like a conversation we've been needing—less noise, more nuance. Two voices known for cutting through the chaos, now meeting not to clash, but to listen. That’s rare.

It’s easy to forget that political identity isn’t just about what we vote for—it’s about how we show up for each other when things are messy. This crossover holds space for that mess. For curiosity over certainty. For grace without passivity.

Sometimes, it’s not about changing minds—it’s about softening hearts just enough to stay at the table.

Pulling up a chair with you all.

Somewhat distracting, Ben, that your video is jumping around. Great idea to feature Pantsuit Politics for the Midas Mighty. I subscribed!
