I voted for Bernie in 2016. He has had very consistent messaging throughout his political career, especially about getting people with the most money who influence politicians out of the political arena. I did not dislike Hilary, just liked his overall policies better at that time. Didn't recognize that voting for him helped to get tRUMP elected, though, because of the electoral college issue, and because many of us did not recognize how many people at that time would be so easily fooled by tRUMP. I also believe that a younger Bernie-minded person might attract more of the younger voters. Still like his overall message though.

One large problem at the moment still is, if the voters split the vote too much for a third party or candidate, (for example Jill Stein) then there is a chance that the RepubliCONS could win again because of how the electoral college works. We are already in a difficult situation in our country. My current opinion is we need to work at the micro-levels so there is no "tomfoolery" going on with our local politics, libraries, school boards, etc. These are the places where one can hear the voters' opinions, and create policies to address those opinions.

Additionally, several districts, some quite small (like only 536 people), showed 100% voting for Trump, and 0 for Kamala, despite being a BLUE district. Additionally, they discovered that in some all-blue districts, entire ballots were all blue, except for the President and the next position down on the ballot. Typically, these were Senate races. This is how they got the majority of Republicans in the House and Senate, too. No one will ever convince me that 2024 was a "fair" election.

I wholeheartedly agree with you, Marie. It is all so damn frustrating! We know that Elon and his teenage geek squad were messing with the voting machines in so many places, including ALL of the swing states, which miraculously, the moron won, despite no one winning ALL of the swing states for the past 40 years. Yes, square that away? Additionally, ALL of the polls in the days and hours leading up to the election had Kamala winning, right up till the felon called the race for himself. Elon has not shared details (beyond saying that the POTUS and several Senators would not have been elected if not for him) because it implicates him in Election Fraud, and would warrant prison time, which is where the insane felonious POTUS should be right now. Without Elon in 2026, it is possible we might return to fair elections, but so many people noted in the days following the November travesty, that when they checked their ballots to make sure they had been cast, nothing! Ballots were just missing entirely for so many voters. Additionally, several districts, some quite small (like only 536 people), showed 100% voting for Trump, and 0 for Kamala, despite being a BLUE district. Additionally, they discovered that in some all-blue districts, entire ballots were all blue, except for the President and the next position down on the ballot. Typically, these were Senate races. This is how they got the majority of Republicans in the House and Senate, too. No one will ever convince me that 2024 was a "fair" election.
