Are there California National Guard left that Newsome could deploy in opposition to Trump's deployments? Could Newsome request National Guard assistance from other states? Could they evacuate likely ICE targets to protect innocent civilians? Does the state have the resources to identify the immigrants with criminal records and preempt the federal ‘raids' ? Could they stand and require proper warrants and agent identification before allowing ‘raids' to take place? Not really obstructing legal actions, but ensuring due process is followed? There must be loopholes the state can use, just like the loopholes Trump and his ‘lawyers' are using to ‘justify’ their ‘raids'.
