Ms. Klemetsen, With respect, on one point I agree with you, the backbone of the Democratic Party are the black voters. However, I cannot agree that WE don’t choose our party leaders. Though the Representatives choose the Speaker, those same Representatives answer to us. After Tuesday, there is clearly a sea change underway, our Democratic leadership must reflect that.
It cannot simply assume this was a democratic win, and back to politics as usual.
If Mr. Jefferies can’t recognize that, he should step aside.

The Democrats must investigate the Trumpists' activities but also pass bills to improve people's lives.If all they do is investigate, this will give the remnant Trumpists a chance to complain that all Democrats do is wage lawfare against them. But at the same time, the Democrat lawmakers must hold any lawbreaking Trumpists to account.
