Rep. Abigail Spanberger Calls Tulsi Gabbard’s DNI Nomination a “Dire Threat to National Security”

In an interview with Ben Meiselas, the CIA veteran and Virginia gubernatorial candidate warns of the dangers posed by Gabbard’s appointment and outlines its implications for U.S. intelligence.

This morning, MeidasTouch co-founder Ben Meiselas had the opportunity to interview Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger (D-VA). Rep. Spanberger, who is also running for governor of Virginia and brings years of CIA experience to the table, didn’t mince words regarding Donald Trump’s nomination of Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence (DNI).

In this must-hear conversation, Rep. Spanberger spoke about the dangerous implications for our national security if Gabbard secures the position as DNI. “This isn’t a partisan issue,” she stressed. “It’s about protecting the lives of Americans and ensuring the integrity of our intelligence systems.”

We are being sold out to Russia by trump & his cronies ! THAT is what is happening - this SHOULD be considered a national emergency & the FBI/CIA or whoever SHOULD be in control of things at this point. What can we do to stop this blatant & in our faces takeover ???

We were sold out by US citizens too stupid and lazy to understand, let alone participate in maintaining our democracy.

They have no idea what this means for our freedom. Isn't MAGA's slogan "America First" I guess they'll have to change it to "Russia First"

Nobody took it seriously.......the nightmare is now upon us.

I said 8 years ago that Trump would turn us over to Russia. He didn't get to his first go-round, but he may well succeed this time. And all his base can do is scream "Own the libs!" and "MAGA!" and "WINNING!". Too stupid to realise that because of them and likely Musk's Starlink", Russia will probably get to fulfill Khrushchev's prophecy. Those over the age of 50 will know what I'm referring to.

It can't get crazier: Johnson is withholding the Ethics report on Gaetz.

The war on the US soil by Russia is through Trump and his cronies. Trump is enemy of the state, he sold the US to Russia.

I think Trump is a chaos bomb. He thrives on chaos where he thinks he can convince people that he is the only one who can fix something, often a something he put into motion himself. He is not a Messiah, or a hero, or a knight on a white horse. And of course he's Putin's puppet.

He's as much a Putin puppet as Lukashenko. He's too stupid to realise it, but he is. All that mockery of Melania on Russian State TV is Putin saying to Trump "I OWN you!"

I'm sure the wheels are turning, but as the Wicked Witch of the West said in the Wizard of Oz when considering how to eliminate Dorothy, "These things must be done delicately." But that hourglass between now and inauguration day is slowly draining, and "it's not long, my pretty."

Remember how they saddled us with this Supreme Court and how much damage they have done to our Country. They lied their way in. We cannot allow these absurdly dangerous individuals to step into these positions and expect them to protect us. They will be working for Putin not the American people.

I don’t care how it looks: Biden needs to ACT. This requires a revolutionary SPINE. Why are letting our country be plundered by Putin asskissing crazy fascists?! Because the uneducated morons who’ve been chugging Fox Kool Aid their entire lives are in charge now?! This is absolutely INSANE.

Gabbard would be a direct line of contact to the Kremlin. This appointment would be a gift to Putin & an end of US intelligence.

She mentions Dan Coates as qualified to be DNI, he also has integrity. Coates was fired by Trump in Trump's first term because he wouldn't lie for him. Trump fired him via twitter at 3AM. Integrity is not a virtue Trump appreciates.

We expect all elected dems to LOUDLY oppose her and get muscular about it in a way that everyday Americans understand. Ask what MAGA would do to stop someone, then do that.

As a previous member of the intelligence agency, this scares the shit out of me. Does she even have the clearance to see this information? I know she would never pass a background check, but I also heard that Trump is going to try to waive this requirement. The fact that she does Russia's bidding explains why she was nominated. We truly need to pray for this country.

What can you do if the House is recessed for 30 days or if the Senate is recessed or if Trump sends them home until such time as he sees fit to reconvene them?

Laughable from someone who touted CIA credentials but was in reality a bureaucrat. Of course, the MSM never dove further into her background, which was as a postal inspector.

How is this not propaganda? I listened twice, thinking I missed some factual information; there were tenuous connections and theories.

The "intelligence community" fears Gabbard in the role because they will be held accountable for their own corruption, overreach and malfeasance. No surprise that they are lobbing unfounded allegations of Russian collusion or claiming she's less qualified than entrenched bureaucrats. They targeted her and her family; of course she's "dangerous" to them.
