I sat down with Congressman Dan Goldman, who was the first to warn us that Trump was likely engaging in a cover-up over the Epstein files months ago. Now, everyone’s finally caught up to Trump’s scheme—and Trump’s attempts to hide his dark past are getting sloppier by the day.
Let’s start with this week’s bombshell: a Wall Street Journal report revealed that the Department of Justice told Donald Trump back in May that his name is in the Epstein files. So naturally, Trump waves the “deep state hoax” wand and blames Obama, Clinton, Comey, your grandma, your dog…basically anyone but himself.
Trump then sent a phony request for grand jury testimony, admitting in his own court filing that his administration wasn’t entitled to the materials. Yes, you read that right—the DOJ argued against itself. Why? Because they wanted to create the illusion that they tried to get the files released, only to be “denied” by the courts. It’s yet another con.
Meanwhile, while that legal circus was playing out, Trump's DOJ met with Ghislaine Maxwell’s lawyer. Her lawyer literally said Maxwell would “see how things go” with the DOJ before deciding whether to cooperate with Congress. Translation: if Trump dangles a pardon or a deal, maybe she plays ball. Maybe she forgets a few names. Maybe she remembers just enough. This is possibly the most unethical things I have ever witnessed in the federal government.
And here’s what Congressman Goldman made crystal clear: this is not about grand jury testimony. The real files, 300 gigabytes worth, include witness interviews, intercepted communications, photos, videos, and documents seized from Epstein’s properties. This is evidence sitting on DOJ hard drives that could be released right now, redacting victim names, if there was a will to tell the truth.
But instead, we are getting the usual. Gaslighting. Lies. Distractions. Trump’s cronies firing the top prosecutor on the case, Maurene Comey (yes, that Comey), and blaming her father for some massive “hoax.” Pam Bondi and Todd Blanche turning the DOJ into a personal clean-up crew for Trump and a protection racket for Epstein and Maxwell. It’s grotesque.
As I told the audience and Dan Goldman—this cover-up may very well be criminal. It smells like obstruction. It reeks of witness tampering.
We will keep demanding the full release of the Epstein files. Not the grand jury distraction. The real stuff. The 300GB of truth.
We are not letting this go.
