Let me cut right to it: Donald Trump’s latest “big, beautiful” tax bill is one of the biggest scams I’ve ever seen pushed through Congress. That’s not hyperbole — that’s straight from the mouths of nonpartisan analysts and members of Congress who have actually read the fine print.

This week, I sat down with Congressman Tom Suozzi on the MeidasTouch Podcast to break down what’s really inside Trump’s so-called tax plan (Remember the add the show now on Apple Podcasts and Spotify). And let me tell you: the bill is not just bad — it’s dangerous.

Trump is out on the campaign trail making wild promises: “Your tips will be tax-free!” “Overtime will be untaxed!” “Social Security benefits will be protected!” But when Suozzi asked tax officials point-blank in a congressional hearing whether any of those things were true, the answers were clear: No. Nope. Still taxed. Another lie.

Instead of helping workers, this bill slashes taxes for the ultra-wealthy and pays for it by ripping away health coverage from nearly 14 million Americans. It jacks up premiums, cuts Medicaid, and explodes the deficit by $4 trillion in a single year. You read that right — the biggest increase in the deficit in U.S. history, all so billionaires can pocket even more.

And if you live in New York, California, or any state that invests in public schools, transit, or healthcare? You’re getting hit again. Trump promised to restore the full State and Local Tax (SALT) deduction. Instead, he capped it at a level so low it’s actually raising taxes for middle-class families. Even his own Republican allies in Congress are furious.

As Suozzi told me, this isn’t policy — it’s parody. Trump’s economic agenda is like something out of Bizarro World: up is down, lies are truth, and billionaires are the “working class.” And the worst part? Millions of Americans suffer while the rich get richer.

So here’s the deal: We see the scam. Now we fight back.

Watch the interview, share it, and stay informed. We don’t need more billionaire bailouts. We need truth, accountability, and leadership that actually works for the people.
