I keep hearing people say that voters chose lower egg prices over freedoms and rights, and that’s why Trump won. Newsflash: egg prices, gas prices, and mortgage rates are not going to be lower under Trump. The more accurate statement is that many voters believed lies about lower egg prices because those lies were fed to them on TV and the internet.

Yesterday, our Editor-in-Chief, Ron Filipkowski, addressed a growing narrative from corporate media and Trump’s team that egg prices are going to rise in 2025—and, conveniently, it won’t be Trump’s fault. They are now claiming that we should brace for higher egg prices in 2025 due to an outbreak of Avian flu. Outbreaks of this Avian flu strain have been occurring for about three years now.

Filipkowski expressed frustration that the Democratic Party wasn’t forceful in its messaging back in 2022 about the real reasons behind rising egg prices: the Avian flu outbreak and suppliers and retailers price gouging consumers under the guise of inflation. Democrats let Trump and the Republicans control the narrative.

Here’s what Filipkowski posted:

As you all know from my writings and videos, I am not a ‘postmortem guy’ and more of a ‘let’s get it done’ kind of guy, but we must understand the GOP playbook that got people to vote against their own interests in 2024.

Both the Avian flu outbreak and the resulting rise in egg prices are results of Trump and GOP policies: deregulation, removal of safety protocols, zero antitrust enforcement, and encouraging price gouging.

The same can be said about other issues. The rise in housing prices and scarcity of supply is directly traceable to GOP policies that allowed private equity and hedge funds to commoditize homes and trade them and the mortgage notes as securities.

The train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio—which MAGA blamed on President Biden—was caused by Trump’s deregulation of railways.

The baby formula shortage during President Biden’s administration, which was also blamed on Biden, was caused by Trump’s deregulation.

Trump’s appeasement of Putin and dictators, moving the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, releasing 5,000 Taliban prisoners, and inviting Taliban leadership to Camp David on the anniversary of September 11 all weakened us internationally.

And don’t even get me started on Trump’s catastrophic mismanagement of COVID. He called it a hoax, claimed it would ‘miraculously go away,’ and instead oversaw mass deaths, Trump-imposed lockdowns, and the destruction of the economy—an economy President Biden rebuilt.

You likely know all of this already. But here’s the thing: going back to Filipkowski’s observation, why do Democrats sit back and let Republicans blame them for problems caused by Republicans?

It’s like the fire department allowing the arsonists to blame the firefighters for putting out the fire. It’s absurd. It’s offensive. It’s unconscionable. Yet, Democrats often sit back, take the blame, and focus on procedure and bipartisanship.

Here’s another newsflash: Republicans, by and large, want to burn you to the ground. They don’t want to work with you. They want to blame you for their failures.

So what do we do? It’s simple. As I’ve stressed in previous posts, repetition and consistent messaging are key. Now let’s get specific: Blame them. Blame the arsonists. Blame Trump and the Republicans. Blame, blame, blame.

Why? Because they actually did it. They deserve the blame. Why play nice? Trump and Republicans promised they would fix everything—and they’re already admitting they were lying.

Mortgage rates are going up right now because of fears about Trump’s policies. Prices are rising at your favorite stores because of Trump’s tariffs. And yes, the so-called holy grail of this election—egg prices—are rising because of Trump.

Don’t let Trump and the Republicans blame anyone else. They said they’d fix things. They lied. Blame them, and message it loudly and clearly. Don’t let them weasel out of it like they’re already trying to do.
