I started off the show talking about the Jake Tapper book, explaining my major issues with it and how CNN has been handling it as a netword. I also talked about how it is being used against Democrats who appear on their shows to talk about other things - like KY Gov Andy Beshear who went on to talk about a devastating tornado - only to have them pivot to ask about Tapper’s book.

We also talked about Kristi Noem’s embarrassing performance before the Senate where she didn’t know what habeas corpus was. I explained why that is such an important thing especially for a DHS Secretary.

It was a week full of embarrassing performances before Congress by Trump appointees. Auctioneer Billy Long beclowned himself at his hearing to be confirmed as IRS Commissioner under excellent questioning by Elizabeth Warren.

I also talked about my personal experience having lunch with Marco Rubio in 2010 where we talked about immigration as he was running for the Senate, and how much he has changed since then culminating in his duel with Sen. Van Hollen yesterday.

Also had to talk about Nancy Mace showing nudes of herself in a House Oversight Committee hearing yesterday. I know everyone hates Mace, but we had to go there since she went there.

Talked about Elon Musk claiming that he is backing away from direct involvement in politics and the Trump admin, what I think he is up to based on monitoring his social media, and how he stands to gain from Trump’s Golden Dome.

I also talked about how MAGA is furious with their former heroes Kash Patel and Dan Bongino after their interview on Fox talking about Jeffrey Epstein.

We also talked about the ridiculous claim by Republicans that former FBI Director James Comey used a photo a seashells on the beach to signal a sleeper cell to attack Trump, and how he was question by Secret Service about it.
