Ron Filipkowski on Today's Uncovered

We had a really important show today coming some big topics where hopefully I was able to provide some information on a lot of major stories in the news that you haven’t heard elsewhere on other podcasts or mainstream media.

We led off talking about Trump’s latest deranged comments today on Epstein where he attacked his own supporters calling them stupid and weak. I talked about how this has all played out step by step and how Trump badly misread his base on this one.

If you have watched Uncovered before or read my daily Bulletins on Substack, you know that this is a story I have talked about that has been brewing and building for months and has finally exploded. It has been interesting to watch legacy media try to catch up on it and offer mostly basic or wrong takes on what is really happening on this because they fundamentally do not understand the MAGA base.

I talked about Trump’s threats to fire Fed Chair Powell and the implications of trying to do something like that on the markets.

We circled back to talk again about the response to the Texas storm after Kristi Noem’s terrible interview on Meet the Press this past Sunday, showing how and why she lied about key points (and why Kristen Welker’s interview was terrible despite having a script with good questions).

We took a deep dive in the very different ways that Republicans and Democrats handle natural disasters politically and about Trump’s motives for wanting to abolish FEMA. Anthony had a very different theory than mine, but I think both of ours are valid.

I also talked about Texas calling a special session to try and gerrymander congressional districts before the midterms and the response by Gavin Newsom and other Democrats to the disgusting plan. We also played Jasmine Crockett’s comments about it, which added a unique perspective on the situation since one of the people they are coming for is her.

So much other stuff - tariffs, Russia, Melania, Trump stealing the FIFA trophy - it was a big show with no fluff, filler, small talk, or BS as always. The link to the show is here.
