The day in review ...

… Today we saw a coordinated effort on Twitter led by Elon Musk to spread lies and disinformation about the federal response to the severe storm damage in NC and GA. We did our very best to combat the lies, making post after post and writing several articles that included information from experts and people on the ground to refute the lies.

… Some of the most effective responses came from a surprising source - local Republican elected officials who saw how the right-wing lies were adding to the stress of people already dealing with a terrible tragedy. They included legendary former WWE wrestler Kane, who is now a Republican Mayor, who called on fellow Republicans to stop the lies.

… Meanwhile, Trump did another low-energy rally in NC where his endorsed candidate for Governor Mark Robinson was conspicuously absent after recent revelations that he frequented trans porn sites while referring to himself as a “Black Nazi.”

… At the NC rally, Trump accepted a Purple Heart from a man who gave it to him on stage because of the nick he got on his ear at the PA rally. Trump said he was honored to accept it. After all, as he has said previously, he always wanted to “win” a Purple Heart. (Nobody who gets a Purple Heart wanted to get it, and you don’t win it like a trophy).

… Marge Greene and Georgia Republican officials like flat-earther Kandiss Taylor speculated that the storm was directed to Republican areas by the “Deep State” who controls the weather in order to suppress their votes and punish them. Anna Paulina Luna took the stage with Trump at his rally and said that FEMA was not helping storm damage victims intentionally because they were majority Republican areas.

… While many North Carolinians were hurting from the storm, Trump opened his rally there lamenting that Fort Bragg was renamed Fort Liberty and pledged to rename the base as president after the disgraced, incompetent and hated Confederate General Braxton Bragg because priorities.

… Meanwhile, the arena at the Harris rally in Flint, Michigan was absolutely packed with a full house and rocking with energy.

… Disgraced fired Fox host Bill O’Reilly went on a long rant complaining about ads airing on Fox, Newsmax and network channels paid for by George Conway’s PAC demonstrating that Trump is suffering from dementia. He said the ads were unfair and
