I was tuning across the wasteland of AM radio last night and heard a “commentator” talking about “verified proof” that AOC was a Communist Chinese agent. Yeah. In fact, we have a dozen or more young congresspeople (Lauren Underwood, Max Frost, Joe Neguse, Jon Ossoff, just for starters) who are doing the work and speaking the truth in a powerful fashion but are not as pretty as she is. All are more qualified to be president in the future.
There are so many that it just annoys me when they're overlooked and people act like we only have one or two high-profile ones. I remember a town hall last year when someone yelled at my congresswoman, "Why can't you be more like Jasmine Crockett?" She replied "Jasmine Crockett is Jasmine Crockett; Shontel Brown is Shontel Brown." Shontel's style is different but she is constantly working on issues and events to help constituents. She has been fierce in attacking what ICE is doing, the failure to release the Epstein files, the exploding cost of health care. She's a great multitasker. But yeah, she's not Jasmine Crockett — or AOC. Even some of our congresspeople who might not be considered exciting young progressives, such as Robert Garcia, are doing great work. (He's the ranking member of the Oversight Committee and the reason that people like Pam Bondi are being exposed.)
Trump despises women. Have you noticed every time he calls someone "Low IQ," it's a Black woman? He cannot deal with women being smarter than him, which frankly is most women.
I disagree that no one pays attention to her. There are 435 in Congress and when something happens they are all looking for AOC to hear her take. She represents Americans and more of America needs to wake up to this.

Smart ones will welcome alliances with Democratic politicians from the US. The AfD is going to meet with politicians on the Trump side in Washington constantly. Democratic politicians should have people to meet with as well. US politicians should be going abroad and inviting democratic politicians from around the world to visit in the US, If they will come. Such an invasion of privacy now to get a visa.

It was obviously too left-wing and too internationalist for him. He had a spokeswoman explain at the time that it was “a bloated, useless institution.”
Just under a year later, the building is making headlines again. On Thursday, the US president took to the stage here. This time, he was full of praise. “What a beautiful building,” Trump said, “it's wonderful.”
The Peace Council logo is Trump's favorite color: gold.
He seems to particularly like the name that has been emblazoned on the facade for some time now. “Donald J. Trump Institute for Peace” is written there in large letters. “I had nothing to do with that, I swear,” Trump said in his speech. In December, he arrived at the institute building in his limousine, “The Beast,” and saw the new inscription for the first time. His Secretary of State, Rubio, was behind it. “Marco named it after me.”

According to Trump, the members of the Peace Council are also very special: the “greatest statesmen in the world” are members of the “Board of Peace” – which he claims is the “most prestigious institution of all time.”

If the president has his way, his Peace Council will apparently become a model for the United Nations – only better and more efficient. And presumably more decisively oriented toward the interests of the US.
The founding members include right-wing populist Trump fans such as the heads of government of Argentina, Israel, and Hungary, as well as countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Pakistan. Not included, however, are the old democratic allies of the US: countries such as Germany, France, Canada, and Japan are staying away from the Peace Council.
Their reluctance is linked to the remarkable organization of the Peace Council, which is somewhat reminiscent of his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida: according to media reports, anyone who wants to become a permanent member and be part of “a bold new approach to resolving global conflicts” must pay an admission fee of one billion dollars. Those who do not contribute are only admitted for three years.
The Peace Council is sending “very serious warning signals,” according to an Irish government representative quoted by Time magazine. “We cannot be part of a structure that challenges the United Nations,” Norway said. Germany, France, and countless other EU states also expressed their opposition.

Many of them are bothered by the fact that Trump, as council chairman, has granted himself veto power over the body's decisions. The fact that the US president has invited countries such as Russia and Belarus to join his peace council is unacceptable to most Europeans.
But not for everyone. In addition to Hungary, Bulgaria also joined Trump's committee from the European Union. As so often, Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni sought a middle ground between Europe and the US: she stayed away from Thursday's meeting but sent an observer delegation to Washington.
The inaugural event was much more harmonious than a UN General Assembly meeting: Trump dominated the show, applauded warmly by his vice president, JD Vance, Secretary of State Rubio, and the president's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who were prominently placed on stage, as well as representatives from around 40 countries.
Threats to Iran, billions in aid for Gaza
At least: Trump did not just limit himself to praising himself. Nine member states of his “Board of Peace” had pledged seven billion dollars in reconstruction aid for Gaza, he said. The US wanted to provide another ten billion dollars. Countries such as Indonesia, Kazakhstan, and Albania also declared their intention to send peacekeeping troops to Gaza.
The new body announced in the fall was actually supposed to focus on Gaza. The Peace Council has been authorized by the UN to “establish the framework for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and coordinate the financing for it,” according to the New York Times.
But the president's ambitions are greater. His “Board of Peace” will “reach far beyond Gaza” and be active “everywhere,” he told the US newspaper on Monday.
Remember, in totalitarian speech, WAR IS PEACE. Trump has a "Board of War" The world should be wary. This is going to be a a horrid corrupt mess like the Epstein Files. Everyone with sense will stay away.

🇨🇦 I heard President Zelenskyy on the BBC this morning. I have to say he is a; 'Hero'. Many would have caved by now.
He speaks in complete sentences. English is just one of the many languages he speaks. He thanked all the allies including America. I don't know why they're pro; 'Putin' and want to ruin Ukraine.

The Peace Council is sending “very serious warning signals,” according to an Irish government representative quoted by Time magazine. “We cannot be part of a structure that challenges the United Nations,” Norway said. Germany, France, and countless other EU states also expressed their opposition.

The inaugural event was much more harmonious than a UN General Assembly meeting: Trump dominated the show, applauded warmly by his vice president, JD Vance, Secretary of State Rubio, and the president's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who were prominently placed on stage, as well as representatives from around 40 countries.
Threats to Iran, billions in aid for Gaza
At least: Trump did not just limit himself to praising himself. Nine member states of his “Board of Peace” had pledged seven billion dollars in reconstruction aid for Gaza, he said. The US wanted to provide another ten billion dollars. Countries such as Indonesia, Kazakhstan, and Albania also declared their intention to send peacekeeping troops to Gaza.
The new body announced in the fall was actually supposed to focus on Gaza. The Peace Council has been authorized by the UN to “establish the framework for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and coordinate the financing for it,” according to the New York Times.
But the president's ambitions are greater. His “Board of Peace” will “reach far beyond Gaza” and be active “everywhere,” he told the US newspaper on Monday.
Remember, in totalitarian speech, WAR IS PEACE. Trump has a "Board of War" The world should be wary. This is going to be a a horrid corrupt mess like the Epstein Files. Everyone with sense will stay away.

🇨🇦 I heard President Zelenskyy on the BBC this morning. I have to say he is a; 'Hero'. Many would have caved by now.
He speaks in complete sentences. English is just one of the many languages he speaks. He thanked all the allies including America. I don't know why they're pro; 'Putin' and want to ruin Ukraine.
Zelenskyy did have a lot of notes with him, he spoke for over 30 minutes. I wish that there was a way to help him end this war and let Ukraine stand as a 'Democratic Country'.
If we save Ukraine, we not only save Europe but the rest of the world from 'Put-rump'.

The Budapest Memorandum was signed by the US, Russia, and Ukraine. Ukraine gave over their nuclear arsenal to Russia with promises of respect to their sovereignty. But in 2014, Russia annexed Crimea. We, the USA, did nothing. We should have stopped funding Israel and continued funding Ukraine. They are fighting for all of Europe not just themselves. We should be supporting them as stated in the Memorandum.
