In terms of the United States. We must never salute and show respect towards the American flag. The United States was founded on genocide and built with slavery, with the United States empire responsible for countless deaths. The American flag is soaked in blood. The only time to smile when in the presence of the flag is when it's on fire or being torn to shreds. I certainly talk to them and when it is necessary to cut one down (like it if's against a fence of my driveway I apologize. Well the "the footpath down to the well is healed" has given me great pause in using those trails. I've decided to not continue to use some and let them "heal". Whenever I can I capture and release spiders I find in my house...I'm that kinda non violent person so I sure understand your wondering about yourself and just what would/could you do if push came to shove. I am lucky in that I'm a bit of an introvert and live out in the country (about 15 miles from the nearest town, closest neighbor 1/2 mile away) so I don't have to interact much with anyone (anymore....worked in child protective services for many many years) so I don't struggle with begging people to be nice and I don't have to deal much with the hate that the maga folks have, even though I live in a 99% maga place (I don't attend church so don't have to put up with the hypocrisy of all the evangelical christians here). The downside of living out here is that I cannot get involved in any kind of visible protest and I get quite sad about that. It's not just that people would not like me if they knew I was not a trump supporter but it would make my horses unsafe (maga folks think it's fine to burn down the barn of a non maga person) and my grand children would be discriminated against in school. Yeah, that's the America I live in, and I'm white. I am not much of a historian, but I've read a few things about slavery and the South after the Civil War and the Jim Crow laws. A book that really opened my eyes is The Warmth of Other Suns. For folks in the South "back then" inhumane actions were cool and that has not changed. That culture is passed down from generation to generation. Until I read that book I did not ever think of Florida as a slave state or as a state that had much racial violence. Turns out from 1900 to1930 Florida lead the nation lynchings based on per capita. From 1882 to 1930 one out of every 1250 Africa Americans in Florida was lynched. An African American was twice as likely to be lynched in Florida than in Georgia and 7 times more likely than one in North Carolina (I've read these statistics in various places, I got this nice summary from AI). There probably are folks who were alive during the last years of that time frame who are still alive today and many have passed their acceptance of this cruelty (and lynchings are just the tip of the iceberg) and they on to their offspring. In their culture, being inhumane has always been cool. What gets me is that the entire GOP congress has now embraced that way of looking at life. And not to single out folks who lived in the South and hate/hated Blacks....in the late 1930s during the dust bowl California had "No Okies Allowed " laws (not for very long but they did have them) which said Americans from Oklahoma and Texas who did not have a job could not move into California. So hatred for our own citizens, even those of the same color is not new. My "answer" is to do all I can to support the resistance and meanwhile be as kind as I can to everyone I can. Trump and the GOP cannot take my kindness away from me no matter how many laws they pass or violate. In another angle, she can be seen apparently attempting to wave someone to go around her before two agents then park their silver pickup truck and get out, walking towards the Honda's driver-side door.
In that video, one of the officers from the pickup truck can be heard telling the woman to "get out of the f****** car" as he approaches. He reaches for the Honda's door handle and the car starts moving in reverse. As the Honda is reversing, another agent moves in front of the vehicle from the opposite side. The Honda then starts to move forward, and the agent in front of the vehicle draws his weapon and fires into the Honda.
That agent then moves to the side of the car, although it's unclear if he was hit or not, and fires two more shots as the car continues moving forward.
The videos show the SUV driving off a bit further before crashing into another car down the street.
Multiple witnesses reaffirmed what was seen in the videos and told CBS Minnesota that whistles had sounded to alert neighbors of ICE's presence at about 9:30 a.m."

In terms of the United States. We must never salute and show respect towards the American flag. The United States was founded on genocide and built with slavery, with the United States empire responsible for countless deaths. The American flag is soaked in blood. The only time to smile when in the presence of the flag is when it's on fire or being torn to shreds. When it comes to holidays like Independence Day, Memorial Day and Veterans Day, that they are not worth celebrating as they are about brainwashing people that the United States is a great country and reinforcing that lie for those who already believe it. These holidays, I would argue, are primarily about selling and reinforcing the lie that service to the United States military industrial complex somehow made the country and that of the world a better place. After you take the time to learn about the history of the United States and its actions, you'll hopefully come to the same conclusion that I have, which is that there is NOTHING honorable about choosing to be a pawn for the military industrial complex in service to the bourgeoisie, or capitalists if you prefer. The fact of the matter is that the United States bullies and terrorizes the rest of the world as it refuses to take care of its own citizens, because of this I can't help but look at the United States' flag in disgust. The ONLY time when it was acceptable to support the troops and that of the military was during WW2. That's it. But even then, the United States didn't win the war. The Soviet Union did. The United States just swooped in at the last minute to do some minor cleanup and took all the credit. Almost immediately after the dust settled, the bourgeoisie wasted no time in stabbing the Soviet Union in the back by spreading anti-communist propaganda to get the public to fear and hate everything that gave power and any resemblance of freedom and prosperity to the proletariat. Now, if you know someone who has "served" and was injured or killed. Don't get mad at me for speaking truth to power. Direct your anger towards the United States government for sending them off to die in a pointless war, conflict, or military operation that the United States instigated. Let me be absolutely clear. Although I disagree with Veterans and military personnel, in general, for their choice to be a willing pawn for the military industrial complex who I feel are undeserving of an honor, that does not mean I hate them. Unless they were participants in war crimes and are proud of slaughtering people, whether directly or indirectly, that's a different story. People who are proud of killing others who wish they could do it over and over again, those are sick and twisted individuals. That caveat aside, I believe everyone deserves to have their needs met with a government that actually cares about the well-being of people both here and abroad. In conclusion, the underlying reason for all these wars and conflicts is that the United States needs oil to back up the petro dollar. Without the dollars influence and buying power, the United States loses most, if not all, of its hegemony and economic stranglehold over others. So, basically, the problem is that of capitalism. With that said, though, by no means does that mean other countries are innocent in their foreign affairs, but the United States is by far the worst. It's not even a contest.

I lost the person I thought was my best friend to trump and if she came to me and said Boy was I wrong, I'd tell her that's in the past and she can for sure become part of the majority of Americans who stand up for decency but I would never ever trust her again, not as a friend. I certainly talk to them and when it is necessary to cut one down (like it if's against a fence of my driveway I apologize. I have a small farm that I share with some horses I've rescued over the years and just could not rehome and I have a few I can ride around the farm. So years ago I cut a lot of trails to ride on. Rarely did it involve actually cutting trees as I'm not strong enough to do that, but not to long ago I read Robert Frost's poem Ghost House. It talks about his old homestead and one of the verses says "The orchard tree has grown one copse Of new wood and old where the woodpecker chops. The footpath down to the well is healed". Well the "the footpath down to the well is healed" has given me great pause in using those trails. I've decided to not continue to use some and let them "heal". Whenever I can I capture and release spiders I find in my house...I'm that kinda non violent person so I sure understand your wondering about yourself and just what would/could you do if push came to shove. I am lucky in that I'm a bit of an introvert and live out in the country (about 15 miles from the nearest town, closest neighbor 1/2 mile away) so I don't have to interact much with anyone (anymore....worked in child protective services for many many years) so I don't struggle with begging people to be nice and I don't have to deal much with the hate that the maga folks have, even though I live in a 99% maga place (I don't attend church so don't have to put up with the hypocrisy of all the evangelical christians here). The downside of living out here is that I cannot get involved in any kind of visible protest and I get quite sad about that. It's not just that people would not like me if they knew I was not a trump supporter but it would make my horses unsafe (maga folks think it's fine to burn down the barn of a non maga person) and my grand children would be discriminated against in school. Yeah, that's the America I live in, and I'm white. Trump wants to take over Greenland but I think it would be great if all us tree huggers could move there, and live in peace....the only law would be if you're mean you get booted out, back to America where cruelty is king. Again, keep hugging those trees!!! It may help them (boy are we learning about the feelings or what ever trees have!) and for sure it will help you!!!

I am not much of a historian, but I've read a few things about slavery and the South after the Civil War and the Jim Crow laws. A book that really opened my eyes is The Warmth of Other Suns. For folks in the South "back then" inhumane actions were cool and that has not changed. That culture is passed down from generation to generation. Until I read that book I did not ever think of Florida as a slave state or as a state that had much racial violence. Turns out from 1900 to1930 Florida lead the nation lynchings based on per capita. From 1882 to 1930 one out of every 1250 Africa Americans in Florida was lynched. An African American was twice as likely to be lynched in Florida than in Georgia and 7 times more likely than one in North Carolina (I've read these statistics in various places, I got this nice summary from AI). There probably are folks who were alive during the last years of that time frame who are still alive today and many have passed their acceptance of this cruelty (and lynchings are just the tip of the iceberg) and they on to their offspring. In their culture, being inhumane has always been cool. What gets me is that the entire GOP congress has now embraced that way of looking at life. And not to single out folks who lived in the South and hate/hated Blacks....in the late 1930s during the dust bowl California had "No Okies Allowed " laws (not for very long but they did have them) which said Americans from Oklahoma and Texas who did not have a job could not move into California. So hatred for our own citizens, even those of the same color is not new. My "answer" is to do all I can to support the resistance and meanwhile be as kind as I can to everyone I can. Trump and the GOP cannot take my kindness away from me no matter how many laws they pass or violate. I love the folks that want to protest kindly...I think the battle cry of the resistance should be "I'm not mad at you" but then we continue to protest peacefully and in huge numbers and also to do boycotts, support independent media, support candidates that believe in the rule of law, demand town halls with GOP members of Congress, remind mainstream media why we no longer watch them and why their numbers are declining, support organizations that are actively taking actions in the community to get voters aware and to get the registered and able to vote. I continue to ask what else can I do and from time to time I get a response that I actually can do! And I drink a lot! No I don't but I think if I were a drinking person I'd be drinking a lot!!!! There was mention in one report that there were people, I don't know how many, who took videos from different angles. Those need to be looked at also.
"One video taken by a man at the scene and provided to CBS Minnesota shows the woman in a maroon Honda Pilot SUV blocking the street with her car. An ICE agent walks behind the car and circles around to the passenger side of the vehicle.
In another angle, she can be seen apparently attempting to wave someone to go around her before two agents then park their silver pickup truck and get out, walking towards the Honda's driver-side door.
In that video, one of the officers from the pickup truck can be heard telling the woman to "get out of the f****** car" as he approaches. He reaches for the Honda's door handle and the car starts moving in reverse. As the Honda is reversing, another agent moves in front of the vehicle from the opposite side. The Honda then starts to move forward, and the agent in front of the vehicle draws his weapon and fires into the Honda.
That agent then moves to the side of the car, although it's unclear if he was hit or not, and fires two more shots as the car continues moving forward.
The videos show the SUV driving off a bit further before crashing into another car down the street.
Multiple witnesses reaffirmed what was seen in the videos and told CBS Minnesota that whistles had sounded to alert neighbors of ICE's presence at about 9:30 a.m."
