It was so heartening to hear from a reasonable adult. It is such a shame that all of the other reasonable adults have been forced out of government service by raging narcissists.

I totally agree with your "reasonable adult" statement. But I'd suggest that there really STILL ARE others like him; just too bad they're not the majority. Gallego is also impressive because he has specific ideas for fixing what's gone wrong.

Gallego is a brilliant strategist and has the ability to communicate his knowledge effectively. Thanks for giving him this platform to talk with us. I so look forward to a rational government in power in the US.

Anyone hired after Agent 🍊's inauguration, should be suspended, without pay, pending investigation of previous affiliations, criminal records, any rights violations, violence, etcetera.

Rank them over the coals. Dismantle.

We need more Military who value the Constitution in office. Thanks Senator Gallego.

Wow, Meidas, you hit a home run with this op-ed from Senator Gallego. I have never heard of him, but I am very impressed with what he has written. It is very informative!

Until Americans Say Enough! Period Stop!

It’s not just immigrants, let’s be clear, it’s about trying to Rub out a Political Side.

We like to think that we have come too far as humans to re-live the atrocities of World War 2 but oh have we not.

It’s already been raging since Russia Invaded Ukraine and Trump/Miller/Heritage Foundation/ Turning Point USA decided that there should be another crack at Dominating everybody else.

Let’s get that straight right now. And like I said before and say now, we are going to see what I already know By or Before Nov 4th.

Trust me when I say that this has gone too far for the Right to turn back. I seriously doubt that.

The only question is ‘How much will they destroy in the process’?

So do yourself a favor and prep if you can, securitize if you can, stock up, know your neighbor, have a plan. Because it’s gonna go down.

will they succeed? I’m confident this will fail spectacularly but they will cause a lot of damage before they get defeated.

The level of your survival, suffering from this will depend on your preparation.

It’s already succeeding in Palestine. Israel is now the 3rd Reich with Trump’s support. First they came for the Palestinians, and I was not from Palestine, …

Trump is the one that initiated Ice & group & should be charged after his term. Probably his desire to stay in office. Trump’s term in office is shameful to America.

Woke is a good thing

"Woke," when aligned with empathy and compassion, is defined by many as being aware of social, racial, and political injustices, aimed at fostering a more caring, inclusive, and equitable world. It emphasizes understanding the human behind every story, listening deeply, and actively working to alleviate suffering.

• Awareness & Action: Originally rooted in awareness of racial injustice, "woke" has evolved to represent a broader consciousness of marginalized groups and systemic inequalities.

• Empathy as Strength: Proponents argue that empathy—feeling the pain of others—is not weakness, but rather a strength that guides a desire for a fairer society.

• Compassion in Action: While empathy is feeling the suffering, compassion is the desire to relieve it, and kindness is the action taken to do so. Supporters see this mindset as leading with love and humanity.

Ultimately, being "woke" is a conscious, ongoing effort to recognize one's own biases and to care for the well-being of all people, regardless of their background.

Now, who could possibly oppose such a beneficent course of action? Possibly only those who are filled with anger, hatred, jealousy, envy, paranoia and ignorance.

Say it loud,

I’m woke

And I’m proud!

THEY should try it.

TrueBlueConsti2's avatar

Whenever I hear the word ‘Woke’ and the context it’s used in by the Right make me think’ What or who are those who are not Woke? Are they sleeping ‘eyes wide shut’?

To me, it seems like we got a Side to this country that doesn’t like the idea of ‘Nobody is stopping you from believing or thinking what you do or the choices you make’.

It’s more about Taking away the thinking and choices of others that don’t align with theirs.

So, being ‘Woke’ is about equality, fairness, the choice to live your life without retribution from a cult that seeks to imprison others for not being what? Like them?

I agree. It’s an odd use of a simple word in past tense. Not sure how it originated that way and why, or if it matters. Just trivial food for thought, as there will likely be new buzzwords to identify and divide people. Meanwhile, I’m content on normal use of language for simply respecting others until they give me a reason not to.

Ok so exactly how are you going to stop ICE and the Border Patrol from abusing US citizens or any human beings for that matter. Sounds great what you are saying but you have absolutely 0 chance of doing anything until the supreme leader and his minions are out of office.

Jeanne's avatar

Defund ICE. They are rounding up people who are not criminals.

Democratic Party Branding: Indivisible Support In Democratic Primaries

The most unpopular politician in America right now is Chuck Schumer Suprising? Not if you realize that the Democratic party as a whole is unpopular Why especially when the country is undergoing a Nazi Republican fascist takeover of the government? Because the electorate has become distrusting of D leadership who have concentrated power and wealth and not represented WE the People

WE believe that elections cannot be bought $$$ have destroyed our voting systems and the crypto industry wants to concentrate power with their dollars Musk found that out in Wisconsin in the state 2022 SC race and most recently in the NJ CD 10 Malinowski D primary

So Indivisible national in partnership with local Indivisible groups are endorsing what WE the People feel are candidates who should be supported and who offer holding electeds accountable

Brad Lander vs Dan Goldman(Goldman qualified but taking $$ from crypto industry and 80-90% of Indivisible in CD10 endorsed Lander DNC leadership including Goldman didn’t back Mandami and the party needs to get behind the D after the primaries and defeat the fascists) NY CD10

Peggy Flanigan vs Angie Craig(Craig has voted to endorse ICE in the House) Senate Mn to replace Klobuchar running for Mn governor

Jasmine Clark vs David Scott(Scott has been a complete no show as D representative and constituents have had enough) Ga CD13

Locals HAVE started to push back on many of these developments, and in some cases have won. But WE NEED TO WAKE THE ENTIRE COUNTRY UP so there are more of us who can "just say NO!!" in all the ways..
