60 Minutes used to be appointment television for me for decades. The in-depth interviews with newsmakers and people of interest, were second to none. The investigations into important matters, helped drive the national debate. I have stopped watching a show I loved because of the way it has gone from island onto itself to being under the thumb of right wing censorship.
For decades they have complained about the so called liberal media and its bias against conservatives, which was simply journalism based on facts. They have now corrupted a news organization with conservative bias and lost credibility.
Lots of shows on PBS especially on Friday night. PBS no longer has anything to lose since they were stripped of Federal money for the most part. And you can donate to them!
So true!!!! But I'd hate to seem them switch too much to more news and have to end their drama/nature/mystery/ shows. And Finding Your Roots is one of my favorites....I've learned more about American History from that program than I ever did in school!

60 Minutes was fascinating and trustworthy for most all of my life until Trump controlled it. I think it’s safe to say there are no more mainstream media sources worthy of time, except PBS. I don’t watch any of them. They are untrustworthy. Independent news is the only source for me.
Guardian is ok for international news and US but agree Demoracy Now on NPR is still pretty good . I am bit worried that Substacking is being fouled by the so called christain and fake violent minded conservatives. So then we start a new source and they follow . yikes …also check out how of course the TN recent vote looks like they made up 30k votes after the closing period from a small county . Call this number to complain .

Completely agree and CBS has lost all credibility with us, too… I was a faithful watcher of CBS Mornings with Gayle King and 60 minutes. It’s painful to see what they are becoming under dRump’. The “Big Beautiful Bill” is not a good thing no matter how many times you say it out loud. We desire honest reporting. We have chosen not to watch CBS and if we could protest like we did for Jimmy Kimmel, we would.

Dan Rather has one of the best stub-stacks out there. For me, it keeps the true legacy of what CBS was alive. I cancelled my cable TV years ago. Best move ever. More time to read great books.......support progressive media sites....keep my model building hobby alive.

Only watch Wheel of Fortune and don't buy anything advertised on CBS. Why? The are assets of a hateful government like Fox News. Want to spend my money supporting good businesses not ones that want to STEAL my taxes/savings with bad products.
