Here’s a text I sent directly to Ben & his brothers:

Ben & team: You guys are doing great work. Congratulations! But may I make a request? I have no idea what your costs & expenses are, and you no doubt must make provision for future legal expenses if & when the Rump Regime comes after you; but at least until that day, could you lower your subscription fees? At 5+ million subscribers, you are making $500,000,000–half a billion dollars—a year! Surely your expenses don’t come even close to a large fraction of that amount. Please consider lowering your fees. Obviously, you would grow your subscription base even faster if you did that. And isn’t that your ultimate goal?

MeidasTouch Network's avatar

Hi Chris! Thanks so much for the kind words and support — we really appreciate it. Just to clarify, subscribing is completely free! The 5+ million subscribers you mentioned are all free subscribers who get dozens of video reports and updates from us every single day. So your half a billion dollar estimate is roughly half a billion dollars off from reality.

This Substack also has a free tier where you’ll receive about 95% of the content we publish without any paywalls. For those who are able and want to support our growth, there’s also the option to become a paid subscriber here on Substack. Paid subscriptions help fuel our reporting, cover costs, and allow us to expand — but they’re never required to access the majority of our work.

We’re grateful to everyone, whether you’re a free or paid subscriber, for being part of this movement.

Thank you for clarifying, questions are legitimately being asked as MTN has grown so big. Not corporation backed, but a corporate entity itself, now? I'm not worried about MTN maintaining it's integrity, but if I came in new, I'd ask questions. This is my most expensive subscription & I'm OK with that as long as I can afford it because it's being made available, largely without barriers, for everyone who wants the best information!

I appreciate Ben & team for sure.

One suggestion on content, which might actually increase subscribers: I would appreciate an opportunity to pick and choose which elements I want to receive. There are so many emails and not only can I not keep up with them. I'm a reader, and mostly don't watch all the videos. Just too many offerings and too many emails. Could you create a way, like with other substacks (The Bulwark comes to mind) where there's a form for us to choose offerings? Especially since you're expanding.

Very sincerely appreciate all you do in these difficult times, thank you so much.

The reason I enjoy Michael Cohen is because he a real person. He made mistakes, paid for them and chose to go in a better and different direction. I find he has a good pulse on average Americans. And an unique insight into his former boss-Trump- that few have. Lev Parnas is also an incredible resource. Same reason. Each their own, huh?

The expense for each substack blog is part of it. The other part is - way too much to read! How about a yearly subscription price that covers all substack blogs - say $200 a year for all and every. Then we could pick some to read one day, and different ones on other days, and not feel the meed to subscribe to each blog of interest.

Expand full comment
Bluesmurf's avatar

I did some research on Meidas Touch revenues. They get between $7K and $70K from Patreon each month. They get $320K plus from 40,000 paid subscribers on their Substack out of the 500,000 that subscribe.

Here is their income this week, this month, this quarter: (https://us.youtubers.me/meidas-touch/youtube-estimated-earnings)

$ 78.4K

last 7 days

Estimated earnings

$ 336K

last 30 days

$ 645K

last 90 days

They also take in advertising revenue. "MeidasTouch is raking in millions of dollars in advertising revenue a year — Meiselas wouldn't say exactly how much" - https://www.npr.org/2025/08/14/nx-s1-5493541/meidastouch-rogan-trump-podcast-video

I know they are trying to grow and get more people out in the field, as well as establish reporting globally. But perhaps there is a justification for lowering their monthly rate from $10 per month to $5 per month. Substack takes 10% and with 460K people subscribing who do not pay, $2,250,000 would seem like a better business decision than $360K per month. That would be a 7 fold increase in monthly income from Substack alone and it might actually attract more paid subscribers.

So while I understand that they need the money to expand, there is an opportunity to magnify their earnings at a larger and faster rate if they decrease their monthly subscription rate. What good is it if no one is going to pay it?

Expand full comment
Susanna J. Sturgis's avatar

Now could you do a rundown on their expenses?

Expand full comment
Bluesmurf's avatar

That information is not available on the Internet. But if you go to their website, you will see that they have 1) a website, which is an expenditure; 2) a large staff of people behind their on-air talent; 3) their main talent; 4) deals they have made with people who are working "with" them or under their umbrella - like Katie Phang for example; 5) their security; and then general day to day working expenses.

I'm not sure why you asked that question, but maybe someday Ben, Brett, & Jordy would be willing to share their expenses with everyone so that the income numbers don't look like so much profit...

Expand full comment
ramona j's avatar

Thanks Smurf,for the information. I just want to add one thing. Do you who don't want to be members ,think that the MTN should do this all for NOTHING. NO one is forcing you to pay anything. Pay or dont pay, but dont disparage them for all the hard work they do. The time they take away from their lives, to put out content. They should be compensated . Go watch MSM, Where corporations pay them out the ass, tell them what to say, and you get fake news. We all have freedom to do that. For now anyway. Choices.

Expand full comment
Bluesmurf's avatar

The other question is, when you watch, listen or read anything that MTN publishes, do you get your money's worth? I am actually impressed that whatever they are taking in they are putting right back into their business. It was no small feat to start Meidas Canada and they are already working on Meidas Australia. That takes money... and if we all want to know what's happening in the world, and not be lied to, we are going to have to pay something for it. Meidas is not using what was once the "free" air waves. Everything they publish on requires money at some juncture, like paying to have the Internet so you can have all the other apps.

see my post in this thread regarding revenues. Subscribers and viewers are not the same thing on any of the social media platforms. Subscribers may be 5 million, but if there are 500 million views per month, then those people are opening and watching, reading or listening to podcasts. If they all subscribed, the revenue would increase. If they were all paid subscribers on every platform, then the revenue would explode.

Cheeto’s Slight of Hand Trick: Passing Extra Taxes Onto States and Americans

The Orange Cheeto and his Nazi allies in the Executive Branch are freezing federal funds to local, state, and federal agencies on the pretense of cost cutting That is now becoming obviously ludicrous that it’s about making government frugal and streamlined The Nazi party has long contended there is government waste, fraud and abuse but the cutting of civil service jobs is to facilitate privatization of government services which in effect gives his cronies opportunities to grift on Americans

Passing taxes onto states? Case in point…Cheeto cuts funding for the Revolution Wind Project begun off shore by Connecticut and Rhode Island that created 1000+ jobs and was to make Rhode Island 100% renewable energy by 2033 The most reckless of the Cheeto decision was that that funding was cut when the project was 80% completed

Or was it reckless? Or was it just Cheeto passing the federal support onto the consumers of Connecticut and Rhode Island? Just another tax that Cheeto has passed onto the states First it was tariffs adding to an already inflated economy due to the loss of the purchasing power of the dollar Then government programs like FEMA get cut so that Go Fund Me pages cover the expenses of natural disasters supported by the American people Then states will have to pick up the medical expenses in every state where people lose health care coverage and try to keep rural hospitals open Then the taxpayers of Connecticut and Rhode Island have to pick up the last 20% to complete the project

Cheeto is on the way to illegally cut passed federal subsidies to the states so he can claim that he is cutting waste fraud and abuse while he passes tax cuts for the ultrawealthy VOTE these Nazi bums out of office and start taxing the shit out of billionaires

The people involved in the Epstein cover up cannot under any circumstances allow the documents to be released and even with redaction the guilty involved with this pedophilia ring will do anything necessary to delay these documents. The only way we get an unredacted copy to actually see the names of perpetrators would be if a whistleblower came forward with an original copy. My guess will be the excuse of these documents revictimizing people and judges already paid off ready to block the release. This happened at 9/11 and the JFK events and the so called UAP disclosure which will end up happening but with a false narrative that the public will simply have to believe at face value or just disregard. The Epstein situation is simply too many powerful people and foreign countries are involved here and unfortunately all of our screaming to release them isn't any concern of the guilty involved and they have the money and the means to keep them out of our hands.
