She's not going to live forever. If Trump doesn't fork over the $88.5 million he owes her, it should be required that when HE finally dies, the money goes to her estate.

Dee Cee's avatar

Maybe non-monetary penalties such as the ones he's suggested for Mark Kelly, Liz Cheney, and congressional Democrats.

Richard Waddell's avatar

I'd venture a lein on any earnings from the president's family over the next

50 years, NO EXCEPTIONS!

Dee Cee's avatar

Seize all their ill gotten gains and use the money to fund demolishing all his crappy, tacky monuments to himself.

paulahik's avatar

HIGH interest. 30%

Roger Helbig's avatar

Just the rate charged by the Treasury at the time he actually pays. That will be less than 30% which sadly would likely be considered usury. It still will be a pretty penny since it would go back to the date of the judgment against him. He does not get interest free legalistic stalling time.

Merry's avatar

“She's not going to live forever.” And neither is Trump.

(In fact, I suspect EJ Carroll will out-live him.)

That’s why he’s so frantically trying to rewrite history, build monuments, rebrand everything in his sight and establish his legacy as the greatest, smartest, strongest, wisest, most powerful, most beloved, most handsome human being to ever walk the earth. The likes of which has never been seen before and will never be seen again. In fact, he’s the second coming. God incarnate.

Just ask him…!

Alan Greenstein's avatar

When Trump is gone, all that infrastructure will be dismantled.

Mary's avatar

That what really makes me mad. Our taxpayer $ are being abused to do his vanity projects and our taxpayer $ will have to be used to repair and restore those things. Talk about fraud, waste and abuse!!

paulahik's avatar

Exactly. However, we'd all prefer the second to the first.

Merry's avatar

Yes. “TEAR DOWN THIS WALL!”

paulahik's avatar

He'll waste billions to do it all and we're enraged about it. It will cost billions to get rid of it all and we'll be happy to spend it.

Karen Echols's avatar

No one could express this better!

Brigitte Powell's avatar

I'm 80 and I pray the good Lord lets me hang around cognitively ..to see that day 🤓

R Nelson's avatar

Eighty is in my rear-view mirror, and I fully intend to live to see Turnip planted and this regime of unfit, corrupt sycophants out on their kiesters.

Brigitte Powell's avatar

🤣🤣🤣🤣👏👍

Richard Waddell's avatar

You deserve it! All of us who have been assaulted and abused by this insanity have earned not 'payback' but a right to be a witness to the corrections and improvements THAT WILL OCCUR.

Dan Griffin's avatar

Agreed! The stinking orange asshole really made something out of what he inherited. He’s lost more in bad “ business deals” than he’s inherited. Excellent stewardship.

joannegucci's avatar

Trump can’t leave this planet quick enough, just save the world & ppl in it and die asap and stop polluting this planet!

Mary's avatar

Your comment is exactly right but makes me want to throw up because I'm so sick of him doing and saying all those things. :>))

Merry's avatar

Agree. It’s nauseating. And I’m EXHAUSTED by him. But that’s exactly what he wants. So I /we must stand united and firm against him and his corrupt regime.

Carole's avatar

And doing so will refuel us!

Real Apprentice's avatar

Right! That frantic “legacy building” energy really does feel less like confidence and more like a guy racing the clock while pretending he isn’t exhausted.

One minute it’s gold ballrooms and giant statues, the next it’s confused speeches, late-night rage posting, and dozing off in public. The mythology keeps getting louder while the man himself increasingly looks like a casino manager held together by bronzer and spite.

Diane Ilson's avatar

🤮🤮🤮

But I understand your sarcasm

Merry's avatar

I can be a bit snarky occasionally. But sometimes if we don’t laugh a bit, we will surely cry. And I’m so close to fume blown emotional meltdown.

Mary's avatar

When he's gone, I hope there are a lot of lawsuits against his estate. For all the people he has conned and probably didn't pay, there certainly should be lawsuits.

Real Apprentice's avatar

At this point the estate lawyers are going to need a seating chart, half the country’s contractors, former associates, defamed people, and unpaid vendors will be lining up like it’s customer service at the world’s worst casino.

Twila Samborski's avatar

He'll die first. Hopefully!

Kathleen Dolphin's avatar

It should be garnished from his wages, NOW. From his presidential salary. ( which, he donates to charity.)

Doreen Zetterlund's avatar

Power to The People. Women People!

Lee Diamond's avatar

if women were running the govt, none of this bull$hit would be happening

bLUEduRham's avatar

Depends on which women…. Noem? MTG? Bondi? Malaria? Susan Collins? That whacko from TN?

I do not disagree with you; i just want some descriptors in front of the word “women.”

Irena Halder's avatar

A few women are corrupted by the men they work for, then quickly thrown under the bus. They cannot be held up as typical. @Lee Diamond is correct and in your hearts you know it. Women would create a greener, safer, fairer, more peaceful and prosperous planet for everyone. Men have gotten it completely wrong, and women would learn from that.

Democratic women… 😘

Bruce Rosen's avatar

Amy Coney Barrett. Laura Loomer. Candace Owens. Marjory Taylor Green.....

Bruce Rosen's avatar

That said, there are, for example, literally millions of US women more qualified to be SecDef than the tinpot sycophant holding that office...

Dee Cee's avatar

Tammy Duckworth, Mikie Sherrill, Chrissy Houlahan. All would be excellent choices.

paulahik's avatar

If your boobs don't bounce enough, you have no chance.

Dawn Kucera's avatar

And even with all this, 77 million Americans thought he should be the president United States. It absolutely boggles the mind, and is grotesque.

Eric Glover's avatar

I hate to say this, but it just proves that majority of Americans are racist. By choosing an old man that is a felon and a sexual assaulter over an educated black woman with law degree and government experienced as a state DOJ, senator, and vice president tells me they didn't care just as long as the black woman didn't win.

Kate's avatar

And here we are.

Mary's avatar

I agree that there's too much racism and I remember reading some comments by women that "a woman is too emotional to be President." However, the American electorate has some problems too. Many of the 77 million are obviously void of critical thinking skills and the ability to discern truth vs lies. Anybody who had chosen to pay attention, took the time to look at the felons history and listen to what the orange felon actually said, historically and on the campaign trail, would have known better. I also believe that trump somehow appealed to a subset of people who I would call perpetual victims of themselves. Something probably happened to them somewhere in life and rather than doing the work to figure out how to change an outcome, they decided the system was against them and it was easier to be a victim than deal with their circumstances.

I am also not happy with the people who decided not to vote!!

Trixie2u's avatar

Djt is far more emotional than any women I’ve ever known. His emotional ranting reminds me of a two year old. His hysteria, rage posting, name calling, ranting & raving, inciting a riot. All incredibly emotional. Just watch any 5-minute clip of a man regime member being questioned by Congress. Show me one where they didn’t yell, lie & get visibly angry and, of course, blame someone else.

Dawn Kucera's avatar

I don’t know about the majority, but at least a whole lot of us. And the thing is, it’s always been there. It had just crawled under a rock. Trump was the one who kicked the rock and made it OK for it to come out into public again. And you’re seeing that, especially in the Tennessee gerrymandering, where they cut up a black majority district. And I’m sure we’re gonna see the same thing in Alabama.

Irena Halder's avatar

Everyone whether black, brown or white is affected by racism, just like misogyny affects the whole population, not just women. People who don’t vote and people who vote for fascists affect all of us. Let’s stop compartmentalising and start getting our heads around the fact that hate, intolerance and prejudice set us all backwards as a nation. We need to understand this to make progress within communities and within the country as a whole.

Becca's avatar

ALSO MISOGYNISTS! Males are particularly threatened by females now. Brute force, dominant, violent males are no longer needed and females are now doing better in college, are more adaptable, able to withstand social changes and stresses without resorting to violence. Females work around, through, beside obstacles whereas males shoot at it and try to destroy. Tech environment eliminates testosterone driven protections and survival for females. Males fear losing supremacy over females as they become independent and do not want to marry, mate, form families with old-time male prototypes.

Irena Halder's avatar

Don’t hate to say it … it’s true! Having made a little progress, America is now going backwards where race is concerned. Disgusting white male supremacy is in vogue and everyone else is suffering.

Eric Glover's avatar

The Voting Rights Bill was to give minorities a common ground in the vote. If the Supreme Court is going to shoot it down then why not do away with the Electoral College. Allowing every voter to be counted in the final count.

Lee Lenard's avatar

That is 77 million Elon Musk generated votes. Even with Farmers, Military, Federal Workers, Trucking Industry, MAGA retirees and National White Christians all overwhelmingly voting for him, he received73 million.

Dave from California's avatar

"That a sitting president commenting publicly on a rape accusation against himself was acting in an official capacity and cannot be held liable for it. If the United States is substituted under the Westfall Act, the case is dismissed because you cannot sue the United States government for defamation."

What a pile of pure, unadulterated crap!

Dee Cee's avatar

Just like the defendant. Only orange.

Renee Axdorff-Dickey's avatar

Thanks for writing this Dina!!

Dina Doll's avatar

Thanks for the support Renee!

Renaydejoy's avatar

I wish the Supreme Court would just end it, rule in her favor, and hold him in contempt if he doesn’t pay her within 48 hours of their ruling!

Alan Greenstein's avatar

Considering the current structure of the Court, the Corrupt Six are terified of making a ruling. They are hiding a lot and Trump likely knows all the sensitive things that he can reveal.

Carthago Delenda Est's avatar

At the risk of sounding flippant, So what? The Supremes have lifetime tenure. Whatever he knows about them, or thinks he knows, can’t mean all that much. They’re not subject to election. The MAGAts can say whatever bad crap they want to (and do say) about the 3 liberals on the Court.

His threats are empty.

Kathleen's avatar

Right. Look what came out awhile back about Alito and his maga wife. Look what has come out about that grifter Thomas and the 'gifts' he's taken. And who knows about all the back room deals made, where the in- justices didn't tecuse themselves from a case. It all just rolls off their backs. Disgusting.

Mary's avatar

And when the Dems are back in power, it needs to change.

Carole's avatar

🤢🤮Thomas!!!

Carole's avatar

And they’d have time to pitch a tent somewhere -about 2 years when they’re kicked out of the Whitehouse they’ve ruined and desecrated

Lynn M Stewart's avatar

Enough is enough. E. Jean Carroll won twice, as you have pointed out. She deserves to get what he owes her. The Supreme Court must uphold the law and be held accountable. The people should expect and accept nothing less.

Elizabeth Fenlon's avatar

Excellent essay about E. Jean Carroll. Heartfelt and true. Thank you.

Angie's avatar

Trump's a rapist and this country has lost its fucking soul.

Joyce Hawkins's avatar

This country would not exist today if we had the spineless people of today calling themselves leaders. My only comment to those who do not like living in the democracy created by our forefathers and have a burning desire to change it, go live somewhere else. I'm sure there are a number of developing countries you could choose from. Leave mine alone. I've been here 80+ years and like the improvements made that you are slowing taking away.

Terry's avatar

I'm in IL. There's a house I drive by frequently that has a sign in the window, used to be in their front yard, Pritzker sucks. All I want to say to them is, move already. Head south. MS, AL, TN, AR, would welcome them with open arms. I see a woman in the yard sometimes. I'm sure she'd be more than happy to relinquish her vote, being a woman and all. According to the party she's devoted herself to, she's not worth a vote. She gets that, doesn't she? Maga are so misinformed and downright stupid, aren't they?

Mary's avatar

Misinformed, absolutely. They seem stupid to me too but I don't know how all of them can actually be that stupid but stranger things have happened. It might interest you to look at the site leavingmaga.org. It was created by a former maga so he's the right guy to help people get out. Some interesting stories. One of the threads I hear in a lot of the stories is that the maga people start to have doubts and they eventually diversify their news sources and realize how they've been conned and lied to and they find the courage to leave. They're putting up billboards around the country inviting disillusioned maga people to join them. The founder says he's very busy so that's something to be hopeful about.

Brigitte Powell's avatar

🤣🤣🤣🤣 too funny....and downright sad that that level of stupidity exists

Terry's avatar

Every time I look at that house...poor house, how can it stand having such idiotic tools inside 😂

Joyce Hawkins's avatar

All she has to do is come across the Mississippi River to the state I live in. Super "red" here.

Terry's avatar

Yes. We're not a much more than an hour 10 minutes from IA. They can drive straight over on I-80. Simple. Or head south about 3 hrs to get to MO. Doesn't matter to me. Just leave IL, since she hates it here so much.

Mare's avatar

Good for you, Jean! Thank you for the report, Dina. It is uplifting to hear about a courageous woman.

Dina Doll's avatar

Appreciate the support!

Tony Bruno's avatar

Great to see this lady, woman with integrity get justice from an individual who's embarrassed himself in front of the world and has disgraced his family name like, his sons, daughter, his father, grandfather all have.

DJT_1946-2025's avatar

This is why I stopped filing tax returns in 2017. If Trump doesn't have to pay taxes, neither do I. If he can get away with ignoring monetary verdicts against him, and violate the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution with side hustles, there's NO FUCXING WAY I'm giving a vent to this corrupted government.

Terry's avatar

I tried. Last year. 5 months after I didn't pay, I got a letter telling me not only the amount I still owed, the penalties associated also. If I didn't pay, the penalties would only increase. I paid $48k in federal taxes for 2025 alone, so no way I'm tacking penalties on every year. My taxes go up every year. So much for trump lowering taxes. I can't imagine how much you owe in penalties. For me anyway, it simply wasn't worth it.

Christine Hayvice's avatar

I hope the Supreme Court doesn’t cave to Trump on this. What a bastard he is. She deserves this win.

ramonaj's avatar

How much is this world going to allow one slime ball, get away with.

Trump is dog shit on the shoe of America. Time to scrape him off.

C Giza's avatar

They do sell poop bags with his face and name on it. I've seen people in my neighborhood use them.

Diane Ilson's avatar

Excellent news 😂😂😂

Brigitte Powell's avatar

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I want🤣🤣🤣🤣

Judith Karcher's avatar

It amazes me that this woman went after Trump and won both times and this idiot is determined to take her down! I agree with DJT - when Trump dies, his money should still have to pay to her estate. G-d bless her for going after him!!
