Hello all. Yes the cruelty is the point… as is the tragedy of our civic discourse as we face the consequences of Trump 2.0 as a much more dangerous and cruel administration. The Supreme Court is also impacted by the current climate in America. We must all strive to strengthen our civil discourse and protect our fragile democracy. Thank you for your participation in this conversation.

I just want all of this to stop and for the cruel evil people to be removed and some form of sanity and freedom to return to our country. It is going to take years America to be respected in the free world again. SMH

It will also take years for the majority of Americans to prevail. It’s time to stop all the infighting among democrats and recognize that job 1 is to defeat the felon and removes his henchmen. Preserving our democracy is essential.

Kathie, I agree. It is the corporate Dems that help felon trump republicans. They are already attacking Mamdani who was democratically election by a popular vote.

If they can’t draw a red line in the sand from felon trump, they should plan on ending their political careers. There is way too much to do to reverse everything trump has done.

But I’m afraid our international connections are not likely to return pre-felon trump.

That is why they're so afraid of David Hogg and Leaders We Deserve. I think most Americans are sick of big business controlling our politics and would agree with a lot of his views. People want their leaders to fight for them, not sit back and enjoy a free ride. Politicians are afraid to give up their money and power.

My heart goes out to you. I wish that there was something that I could do. I will keep you in my prayers, along with so many others. Prayers, help a lot. Why don't you take a week off from all that is going on and take care of yourself. Rest up, get some sleep and find something that you really like to eat. Who knows, maybe we will make some kind of headway while you are resting. I have something for you to read that might give you some kind of hope. I know it did for me. Go to Change.orgThe People's Petition For Global Against Authoritarianism. Read the one that was dated May 5, 2025. You will like this one. Get some rest now and let the rest of us worry for the next week. We will fight for you. God Bless and remember there is always hope.

After retiring from working in a library for 26 1/2 years, I feel like I have a pretty good handle on what the patrons that I waited on liked to read. It was a variety of authors and subjects. Some older adults wanted to know more about LBGQ and we were able to help them with that, too. Then came the person that no longer wanted anything to do with LBGQ books any place in the library. The library board was almost fired over this because they weren't budging. There was finally a compromise and the books were in the library, but not on the shelves. Now I, understand that they are on the shelves, but are in the adult section only. It just takes one person to cause a whole lot of problems. Now that we are more than one person, how about we make a whole lot of problems for our traitors in the government? If you can would you go to Change.orgThe People's Petition For Global Against Authoritarianism. Read the article that was printed May 5, 2025. We have some former allies and US lawmen trying to help us out with this regime. This article gives me hope. Please read it.

Expand full comment

Yes, but interestingly, the 6 "catholics" on scotus are much worse than the Pope himself. the 6 on the "scotus" are of a particular obscure even occult sect within a fringe (?) of contemporary romancatholicism, a sect that doesn't even accept the 2nd Vatican Council nor the Pope himself.

that sect calls itself "opus dei" (read, satani) and is more loyalist to the so-called "russian" (i.e. ethnocentric, anti-ecumenical, tribalist, imperialistic, blood and soil) "orthodox church" infiltrated by kgb agents, than to Vatican itself.

that is what needs to be much more exposed about this particular ilk of so-called "catholics"!!

I'm a retired university professor and I can state, based on decades of experience dealing with students, that you can usually spot those who have not been exposed to the realities of the world around them. I could usually spot those who were home schooled because many of them were not comfortable working with others. I could usually spot those who came from homes where "differences" of any kind were not welcome or discussed because they became more isolated. Frequently, these same students did not interview well when trying to get an internship or their first professional job because they couldn't relate to others. I could also usually spot students who came from homes that restricted what they could eat and watch and play. Many of these students begin to overeat junk food, overwatch porn and play video games all day and night. It is important to understand the real world, to learn empathy and to learn self control. When someone else is denying those experiences and exerting that self control (and well after childhood) it can't be internalized and learned.

The closeted bisexuals who self-profess to be heterosexual-only for societal privileges tend to be the worst homohaters and chauvinistic heterosexISTS.

So the core of the problem is the societal totally unequal distribution of power, influence and rights wherein self-professed heterosexuals-only can do everything, everything, everything; all others nothing, nothing, nothing.
