Hi all, Ben here. It’s Sunday, I know, but the news doesn’t take days off and neither do we. A lot has happened over the past 24 hours, so let’s get into it. First, let’s start with a high-level look at the stories we are following:

  • Military generals excluded Trump from the Situation Room during the Iran pilot rescue mission, fearing his erratic behavior would get troops killed

  • Trump threatens to blow up every power plant and bridge in Iran just 48 hours after declaring the war over (again)

  • The White House contradicted Trump and itself multiple times this morning about JD Vance’s roles in new negotiations

  • Iran says it won’t send negotiators to Pakistan as long as the U.S. blockade continues and Trump keeps lying about their position

  • Iran’s IRGC says it is rearming faster during the ceasefire than it was before the war

  • Elise Stefanik tries to defend Trump’s “your entire civilization will die” comment and it doesn’t go well

  • Mike Waltz accidentally calls Operation Epic Fury “Operation Economic Fury” — sometimes the truth just slips out

  • Energy Secretary Chris Wright admits the Strait of Hormuz isn’t actually open

Before I go any further, I want to thank all our paid subscribers. At MeidasTouch, you know we don’t care about access. We don’t care about offending power. We don’t act as stenographers for Trump’s lies. We care about getting you the truth. If you’re already a Meidas+ Substack member, thank you. Ok, let’s dive into the details:
