There is so much to address in this post, but I would like to focus on just one thing at the moment and that is when I read the article About the attacks on the basis and the facts about families trying to get out and looking at the barracks and other things, it was so heartbreaking. Then reading about some of the military people and others building Fox holes to stay in because they had nowhere to go the scrounging for food trying to find food for the families. This was just all too much. I was a military wife for six years. We were very fortunate. We did not see war. But reading about this and other people that we knew that did see war, where are top people who are supposed to be leading and protecting? They don’t seem to exist bombs and drones are coming in and our troops and their our families are just left to figure it out the best they can. This is just not acceptable. I feel it’s an abomination to our military, to our country and to all of us who trust in these people, support these people and sit with feelings of Care and tears for how they are being treated in this made up war of the Trump regime.
This type of information should be being reported by every MSM channel/newspaper in the country to inform the general public of such atrocities and other similar ones being committed by the Trump regime every day; sadly, it is not.

I agree. Remember the pilots shot down over Iran a few months ago who then spoke on 60 Minutes. Well, one of them did, and he fabricated a wild story. The other one refused to go on the show and lie about what happened.
I hope that when (note I did not say "if") the Democrats take the house and start their investigations that at each hearing they spend less time making moralizing speeches and more time asking the important questions. I always feel, when I watch televised hearings, that each rep or senator takes more time to talk about horrible the stuff the republicans or appointed officials are and less time actually asking a question. They talk for a four or 5 minutes and then ask a "yes or no" question of the person at the hearing. It seems as if they are competing with each other to win the outrage theatre award. I know it's tempting when the camera is on you to sound eloquent and enraged "on behalf of the American people" but it uses up important time for actual fact gathering.
Please go into these hearing assuming that we already know what they did was horrible and unfair and find out how to correct it rather than speaking to the choir.
Remember 1939 and never forget that Senator Robert Taft, the head of the GOP, entered into a deal with Adoph Hitler to keep the USA out of WWII and execute a coup to overthrow our government. Yes, he was caught and tried with many others and the mistrial was never followed up on and re-tried.

The latest protests around the globe highlight the fact that both left and right-leaning regimes fail to do this and that people are tired of it. If the Democrats don't address the wealth inequality, don't make the rich pay their fair share, don't try to alleviate the lack of housing and help provide affordable healthcare---if they don't take the side of the people against the technocrats---we're toast.
