Hey everyone, it’s Ben Meiselas from the MeidasTouch Network. It’s Sunday morning, so let’s have our Sunday morning chat. Grab your coffee or your tea or your drink of choice. I’m drinking my usual black coffee this morning, like I do before my morning videos.
First, I want to start by speaking to all the Maple Meidas out there, everyone in Canada. I’m thinking of you, and my heart goes out to you. I reported on the horrific incident at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright in Alberta, and I’m thinking about everybody who has been impacted. I just wanted to say that at the top.
I also want to thank all of you, the subscribers here on Substack. Thank you for being a part of the MeidasTouch Network and this community. You’ve helped grow this network. If you haven’t yet, please consider becoming a paid subscriber. It has really helped us grow.
I’ve seen so many of you excited about the release of our book, WTF America, which I wrote with my brothers. It comes out Tuesday, but I’m hearing a lot of you have already gotten your copies early, and some people are even seeing it in bookstores already, which is pretty cool.
I’ve also seen some comments saying we keep talking about the book and it’s getting annoying to you. I’ve read those comments. I read all the comments on YouTube and Substack, because I genuinely want to know how everybody is doing and feeling. And I’m sorry if it’s upset you that I’ve been talking about it. I’m honestly very excited about this book. I’m also, candidly, nervous. It’s the first book I’ve ever released, and I poured my heart and soul into it.
In it, I talk about how MeidasTouch was created. I talk about this community, and about building it bigger, including our international growth. And I lay out what I really think is the path for how we get out of this hell the world is in.
If something were ever to happen to me, I wanted it to be in a book, so it’s there for my baby girl Ximena to read. So everybody can read it, here and forever.
For those who are upset that I keep talking about it, well, I guess this is probably upsetting you right now too. But I’ve always shared what’s going on in my life, and we’ve been on this journey together for the past six years.
Of course I’m going to talk about something like this, especially when this community is at the very core of the book. This isn’t an election book about the midterms. It’s a book about the MeidasTouch community, and about how this community is the key to getting us out of this mess.
Okay, I’ll stop talking about it for now. But let me know if you’ve got your copy, if you’ve ordered it, or if you’re picking it up Tuesday.
And hey, you can even drop a comment if this annoyed you again.
Okay, sorry. Let’s get back to the news.
I don’t want to sugarcoat what we’re heading into this week.
More tankers were struck by Iran in the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman this weekend. The total for October may be over 60 tankers when you account for the fact that UKMTO has lost track, because vessels are no longer reporting and are actively covering it up when they’ve been hit.
We have major escalation across the entire Middle East right now.
I’ve been following satellite footage showing a U.S. Navy destroyer off the coast of Pakistan, and I’m paying close attention to that.
The UAE is now helping fund the Aden-based Yemeni forces against Ansarallah, the Houthis.
Even though the UAE and Saudi Arabia have had a lot of tension lately, they both see a threat in the advances Ansarallah has made, so you could have the UAE and Saudi Arabia once again going up against them.
Then you have Netanyahu’s regime wanting to get involved alongside Saudi Arabia against the Houthis. I think Netanyahu is also hoping it provokes Iran into taking action against Israel before Israel’s elections, because Netanyahu is trailing in the polls.
He’s looking for a national security incident to derail those elections.
And you’ve got Trump looking to derail the midterms here, which we believe is a major driver of his escalation.
There were reports that Trump was asking Iran whether he could drop a MOAB, the “mother of all bombs,” on Iran’s Pickaxe Mountain so he could claim a win and then leave the region. Iran rejected the idea, and then went further and said publicly that it’s barbaric to name a bomb that powerful after a mother.
Meanwhile, Trump was in Kentucky literally saying, quote, “We beat the shit out of Iran.” We didn’t. Iran has clearly won this war so far that we should never have been in.
But Trump is looking for something, anything, before the midterms as he gets more and more desperate. And he’s surrounded by the worst people imaginable, like Hegseth.
Then look at Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, where there’s been massive escalation too. We always knew Trump was a Putin bootlicker, but now it’s full mask-off time.
Russia’s envoy Kirill Dmitriev, who also runs Russia’s sovereign wealth fund, is saying that on top of the diesel oil deal Trump announced, they’re working on gas deals, fertilizer deals, uranium deals, data center deals, all of it. This in the same week Trump issued an executive order waiving sanctions on Russia under the Lindsey Graham sanctions act.
Trump and Musk keep throttling and capping Ukraine’s access to Starlink and Starshield for Ukrainian drones, which has ended or severely impaired Ukraine’s ability to use certain drones against Russia and to effectively use drone interceptors.
The Trump regime has also cut off early satellite warnings to Ukraine about Russian ballistic missiles. They never gave Ukraine the ballistic interceptors that were promised, or even the licenses that were promised. And there are constant threats against Zelensky.
In Trump’s demented mind, all of this ends the war faster by forcing Zelensky to surrender. But it’s having the opposite effect.
Europe sees a Ukrainian surrender as an existential threat, because next Putin goes for Poland, and then everyone else.
So it has actually made Europe more united behind Zelensky, at least at the leadership level.
This week the head of the British Army, General Sir Roly Walker, told troops that the UK’s political leaders are about to have a frank conversation with the public about preparing for a world war, and that every citizen will be asked to make sacrifices and play a part in the country’s defense.
They are preparing in Europe for World War III.
That is not an exaggeration. They are actually preparing for it.
There are so many things wrong with Trump. But as I’ve said since my earliest analysis, he takes a problem and makes it worse. He turns a problem into a disaster, a disaster into a catastrophe, a catastrophe into something cataclysmic, and then into total destruction and bankruptcy. Then he blames everyone else, and he rinses and repeats.
That has been his whole life. When people are suffering, it is never his fault.
So as we approach the midterms, I don’t want to get overconfident, but Republicans are going to get blown out in the House and the Senate.
Every day that passes it gets worse for them. But they’re more desperate than ever, and desperate MAGA people make desperate moves. That’s why you look at Netanyahu being desperate, Trump being desperate, and why I think Iran believes Trump is going to escalate.
The other problem is we’re out of most of our weapons. They blew through trillions of dollars’ worth of weapons. They blew through 19 years of interceptors in seven months or less. The moment he starts dropping bombs on Iran, Iran is going to target $2 trillion worth of U.S. assets in the Middle East: data centers, underwater cables. If the escalation ladder goes that way, it’s going to be devastating.
And there’s no adult in the room.
There’s no reasonable person at the table who can resolve this. The head of the United States is a psychotic lunatic, a felon who was found civilly liable for sexual abuse. A vile, bankrupting piece of trash who can’t run basic things. He can’t vet his own press secretary. He talks about painting the reflecting pool blue and then destroys it. He isn’t capable of basic tasks. He isn’t capable of stringing sentences together. So what are we even talking about here?
So here’s what matters this week.
Oil is at $112 a barrel, and I think it hits $125 by the end of this week, or at least within the next 10 days. That’s where it’s heading. And understand, when people say oil is $112 a barrel, they’re talking about futures contracts, the price for December. Right now the spot price, the dated price of Brent crude, is $150 a barrel or more. And that’s crude. It still has to be refined, so the crack spread is even higher, because the refined product is way more expensive. Diesel prices will keep hitting records. Inflation will keep hitting records. Yes, there’s going to be another interest rate hike. Yes, the 30-year fixed mortgage rate is going to go up.
I’m not saying this to fearmonger. These are just the realities.
I’m putting it out there because we’re going to need to stick together. We need to be shoulder to shoulder and really help each other. And when I say us, I don’t just mean America. I mean Canadians, the UK, Mexico, Central America, South America, Africa, Australia, Europe, Asia.
Look at what’s happening in Brazil, with Trump and the oligarchs manipulating the algorithms to prop up Flávio Bolsonaro. It’s a story repeating itself all across South America: Trump and the oligarchs rigging and manipulating elections.
Trump is going down. His mafia thug crew is going down. They want to take us down with them. They want to bring it all down. We’re not going to let them.
We’ve made it this far. For real, we’ve made it really freaking far. Go back and read the old Substacks. Read what we were all talking about two years ago. We’ve made it this far, guys. This is it. We’re heading into the midterms, and there’s about to be real accountability. They’re freaking out.
So stay strong this week. I’ll be here with you every step of the way.
I’m excited and nervous about our book coming out this week, but I’m even more excited for you to read it and see how much of it was inspired by you.
All right, I’m going to take the little girl to breakfast now and maybe do a video or two this morning.
I appreciate you. I love you all so much. Thanks for always being there for me. We’ll always keep fighting for you.
Thanks for getting the book. I’d love to hear your reviews and see photos of you with it.
Talk to you soon. Subscribe to this Substack.

The Russian people are getting fed up with Putin sources say. But it's time for the American people to show how to deal with government run amok.
To me, the big news is that Kushner and Wicoff appeared to be acting in a treasonous manner. There will surely be congressional investigations with them testifying under oath..
