I'm with you on the recount. Besides the many oddities, the track record on these guys is they can't win without lying and cheating. People they lie the most to is themselves. And Republicans have a long tradition of working hard to deprive their fellow Americans of their right to vote.
It's not Starlink. Maybe algorithmic cyber attacks installed in systems months, if not years ago. Think of the recent cyber attacks on monster size corporations and infrastructure. Some attacks weren't discovered until months after they were instigated. If it was confirmed there was this kind of incredibly complex attack on the multitude of US electoral systems by a foreign state that would be an act of war. An attack on a member of NATO is an attack on all. These ramifications might be worse than the US Resistance working bit by bit grinding up once and for all Trump, his minions, MAGA, the oligarchs, and the True Believers hooked in with the Heritage Foundation and Federalist Society.
There are 2.7 million+ mail in ballots the Republicans succeeded in getting trashed, thousands of American citizens (including serving military) had their right to vote challenged by single Trump operatives, and there is the practice of not recording and discarding provisional ballots. This is all done legally within the context of the existing electoral system and state laws governing elections. Using a Trump-like analogy - Bad actors are like bed bugs. Once they infest you can't get rid of them, but they can be reduced and controlled with maintenance and vigilance. Like the man said "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance".
I don’t know how you can falsely claim an overwhelming mandate and then successfully blame all the harm that will result on the Democrats, but as with all things I guess we’ll see.
totally agree.. it's hard to watch folks, strangers, friends or loved ones walk into a punch without their guard up. Oftentimes, their ego will get them more enraged about it when someone points out "hey.. ya know, I told ya about that punch and you walked into it anyway". So.. I guess.. as much as it might feel good to say "I told you so", it probably won't help them move off their cult-love. When that punch lands (and we all know it will), there will be an opportunity to empathize and through that empathy help them recognize the real cause of their misery. My $0.03
...or, because nothing -- empathy or whatever else -- would ever change the minds of a lot of such people anyway, saying "I told you so" is at least a tiny fringe benefit in the middle of this nightmare.
I refuse to abide by anything Trump and his Congressional cult members plan to make into legislation or laws! I will not recognize anything they claim law while a Convicted Felon and Rapist, and the criminals in Congress or the Senate are the ones telling us what we law abiding citizens live by
The real threat is not a 'rough 4 years' it's the threat of there not being any valid election at all in 4 years. Of course they might set up a pseudo-election a la Russia to keep everybody quiet, but I fear we are watching a complete coup & they will do their darnedest to stay right there forever ! Then the only way to prevent that is a REAL REVOLUTION IN THE STREETS ALL OVER AGAIN ! God Help the US !
