Democratic state representative Aftyn Behn is within striking distance in a district Trump won by 22 points, and voters have a chance to flip it on Tuesday.
A pissed-off social worker, Aftyn has seen firsthand how broken systems fail the very people they’re meant to protect. She’s now running for Congress after the so-called “Big, Beautiful Bill” passed — a giveaway to the wealthy that codified the largest transfer of wealth from working people to the rich in American history.

I haven't worked since 2010, I've spent 6 years on dialysis, had a bilateral nephrectomy, a kidney transplant, heart surgery on Sept 4th, and then another one on Oct 2nd. Sure, I can look out only for myself. But the theater in my college town (built in 1880) was in danger of being sold and turned into apartments.
They tried to sell 60 shares of stock @$5,000 to raise the $300K to buy the building. I bought one but they only raised half. So I gave the LLC a $150,000 interest-free loan to be paid back over 7 years. If you know how to construct an amortization chart, figure out how much interest (at prime) my selfish ass is sacrificing.
I'll give you a hint. I could have bought a really nice car with it.

If the TN assembly follows the Repub playbook, the government MUST not help any (non-billionaire) citizens in any way. Why voters think that's wonderful is beyond me....
