It was just announced today that Johnny "Doc" Dougherty, a Philadelphia union leader sentenced to 6 years in Federal prison for, among other things, embezzlement of union funds, had his sentence commuted by Trump. Dougherty had previously been turned-down for commutation, but his attorney said it was "persistence" that finally paid off. I can guarantee you that that "persistence" consisted of a payment to Trump himself or someone around him who could "suggest" Dougherty's sentence be commuted. 🤬
