The US is the largest consumer-based economy on the planet, and that makes it highly vulnerable to direct action that the government can’t control in any way. If you protest on the streets, they can send in the army to crush the protest. If you go on strike, they can encourage employers to fire you, but there is absolutely NOTHING they can do to make you press the ‘buy now’ or ‘order now’ button. They can’t intimidate you, fire tear gas or pepper balls at you. You are the one with the economic gun in your hand, and those delivering the tyranny are, despite what they may think, at your mercy. You quite literally hold ALL the cards.

That's what's surprising me about all those billionaires who seem to have sold their souls to POS. How about selling their souls instead to the people who made them billionaires? Yeah, the market is great for them, so are the banks. But in the end, it's the population who buys their products, their cars, their electronics, their phones, etc. If people have to choose between their health and the latest toy they produce, food and the latest fashion trend, they, the billionaires, are going to lose. POS is a soulless, lying, thieving creature with zero empathy, and zero class and culture. He doesn't give a damn about anything other than what those billionaires can give him. Bankrupting the population, killing the population isn't going to help them one bit.

Ask how many companies have buried themselves and their products to chase the ever gold ring of enhanced profits. There are too many stories to log that end in misery and some person(s) at the top absconding with the company riches while it goes bankrupt.

I am convinced DJT - day trader in all things - is always one day away from insolvency in the game of life. The USG was his only play to get the dollars to stay above drowning. His claws are deepening into our treasury and if Congress doesn't act - it WILL be the biggest heist by the corrupt insiders.

We will just be his latest marks as taxpayers. King John and Sherrif of Nottingham have nothing on DJT and his cottier.

Hey EF., You nailed it. My friends and I spend too much time trying to figure out ...

What their end game is. If everyone or (more people) are put out of work by A I, the regime keeps firing people and closing businesses (more jobless), people can't afford to live. It's a given that most humans in the US will not be buying these billionaires products or they will be boycotting them. So the dystopic scenario my friends and I have come up with is: All the billionaires and regime leaders sitting around a table with the map of the US, dividing the states into new fiefdoms for the rich...Musk may get part of the East Coast, Trump Florida and Virginia, Zuckerburg CA,. OR, WA...The only other scenario we can come up with is The Regime wants us all dead, so they can have all the land, have their harems, and serfs. Why bother with citizens when we apparently are very annoying.

And that is exactly why a consumer and worker "strike" is already planned for late November.

Boycotts, strikes and more protests: organizers on what’s next for No Kings, The Guardian, 22-Oct-25 https://tinyurl.com/2496h4rw “At Indivisible, we’re talking a lot about boycotts and economic power. We should learn from Disney and ABC and Kimmel. The regime bullied. The institution capitulated. The people rebelled. The institution reversed, and democracy sat up a little straighter the next day, is a little bit more confident. Rinse and repeat." Ezra Levin, co-founder of Indivisible, on a mass call on 21-Oct-25

Yes. Yesterday I described him as a feckless, lifeless, soulless, evil AI-generated creature. A robotic clone.

But now suddenly the weak-kneed republicans finally found their line in the sand…huh? After 10 years of supporting drumpf, who is the epitome of the soulless monstrous leviathan in every way possible, but they’re suddenly all sweaty-browed and hand-wringing about Ingrassia?

How ironic. How absurd.

In fact, in the whole scheme of things, Ingrassia is just a byproduct, an insignificant, ass-licking clone of the Nazi loving fascist authoritarian dictator who is LITERALLY using BULLDOZERS to tear down the people’s WH while he simultaneously thumbs his ass at the rule of law and the constitution, bypassing congress completely, shuts down the government because he doesn’t want the Epstein files released and spends his time playing kissy-face with the world’s oligarchs!!! Nothing? Radio silence? Yawns?

While he brazenly took a wrecking ball to the DOD, the DOJ/judiciary, and threatens to destroy everyone on his endless enemies list who dare to disagree with his agenda?

He’s in the midst of a shakedown!

Trump is committing a chainsaw massacre everyday, IN PLAIN SIGHT!

And he spends his time giving away billions of dollars to foreign countries while American citizens are struggling from all of qhis EO policies. And designing his next monument to himself.

SO. Where’s the NOICE, the outrage about all that?!?!?

WTF???

Fuck that guy!!!!!!! He’s a piece of shit. The fact that he thought he’d get nominated is a joke. And that statement. It’s clear he’s a racist fuck. That shit he said is disgusting. He feels a little nazi sometimes????? What the fuck is that? You got a white supramist trying to get that position. They should investigate him. What more has he done? He should have nothing else to do in politics. The dangerous thing is if we hadn’t found this we would’ve never known.

I reached into my personal dustbin of history and pulled out the never prestigious Senator Susan M. Collins "He's Learned His Lesson Award." It first appeared after the Senator herself uttered those precious words when she voted against convicting Trump following his second impeachment.

So the question I now pose, in the inimitable style of Andy Borowitz, is on whom should we bestow it this time around? To give it to Senator John Thune seems like declaring him the "cream of the crap," but I do not see other choices.

I'd love your ideas :-)

Cheeto And AI Have A New Customer: Argentina

It didn’t make a lot of sense that Cheeto and his Nazi allies would pour $40B into a South American country that is economically on the ropes But Cheeto has a big problem AI requires lots of electricity to run its massive projects and Cheeto has all but gutted the green nonfossil fuel industry that had been supported by the Biden administration And it’s apparent that the current fossil fuel industry cannot meet the energy demands of AI

Enter Argentina They need money and resources and AI needs a power grid to do their work Why not outsource the work to a country that can be had and get out of outstretched regulatory hands in the US?

So Cheeto kills the green nonfossil fuel industry because he can and then gives his AI billionaire buddies the $40B in American taxpayer resources to outsource their burgeoning industry to a struggling economically strapped Argentina to avoid a growing resistance to AI dominance in the US Of course it comes at a cost: soybean farmers are financially massacred and Americans get to purchase Argentinian beef

Just another way Cheeto and his Nazi party are selling out American farmer interests to support his billionaire oligarchic buddies Let’s be clear: $’s first, Americans second or third or last Greed is the only option Will rural America wake up?? Probably not and Cheeto is counting on that and voter suppression to stave off bad public sentiment

Why Argentina Accepted Nazi War Criminals After World War II, May 1, 2025, ThoughtCo https://tinyurl.com/f8dvxsnm “There was a financial incentive for Nazis to go to Argentina, and for Argentina to accept these men. Wealthy Germans and Argentine businessmen of German descent were willing to pay the way for escaping Nazis. Nazi leaders plundered untold millions from the Jews they murdered and some of that money accompanied them to Argentina.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, "fighting" for your rights involves escalating risks. At this point, physical danger is still low (ICE is not using real bullets), which is why I'm suggesting the strike. Perhaps your situation hasn't gotten dire enough to justify the risk of job loss or physical hurt. You may still try to use "buyer power" to protest. 🤷‍♀️

You're welcome. It's an unnerving read. I hesitate to recommend it because it is so dark. An unblinking look at human frailty. I do love her novel, THE WORLD TO COME, and read it every year or so. Each of her books is thought-provoking, emotional, historical, etc.

I agree. "The World to Come" also is very good. So much by Elie Wiesel and Primo Levi include darkness, but the stories they tell are real and being repeated. I hope you will not restrain yourself from sharing these important resources. "The Sunflower" by Simon Wiesenthal is a less dark, and leaves its readers with a moral dilemma to ponder
