The Difference Between CBS and Meidas in 24 Hours
By Ben Meiselas
I said it was important we send a powerful message to CBS after they killed the 60 Minutes story on Trump torturing migrants in El Salvador. You helped us send a powerful message by subscribing to this Substack. For those who aren’t subscribed, make sure to do so now.
But we sent a message in another important way: good old-fashioned fearless journalism. The MeidasTouch Network was the first to report on the contents of Data Set 8 of the Epstein files, which contained some explosive documents that raise major red flags.
At first, the DOJ appeared to have inadvertently uploaded Data Set 8 not by posting it on the DOJ website, but because Meidas reporters typed in the web address by guessing the correct naming convention. We were able to access it. We downloaded the files in Data Set 8, which included about 30,000 documents, just in time before the DOJ shut down access.
We then started reporting on the contents and all the grotesque and ghoulish references to Donald Trump. When it became clear we were reporting on it, the DOJ then decided to release the documents at around 1 a.m. The DOJ then posted a bizarre statement on its social media accounts claiming that it was producing these documents, but that all the references to Trump were false and attempts to hurt his reputation.
It is unclear if the DOJ would have published these documents if MeidasTouch hadn’t started reporting on them. It seems they knew they were caught, so they released the documents and said it was all false.
So to recap: while CBS has spent the past day serving as regime stooges, the MeidasTouch Network has done real reporting and led the way in critical news. CBS has all the money and resources in the world, and they have destroyed themselves with it. Meanwhile, MeidasTouch is built by subscribers here on this Substack and is fighting for the people.
We hope you can subscribe now to this Substack to keep this momentum going. You can also gift subscriptions to this Substack to friends and people you know before Christmas as well.
Thanks for your support, and let’s keep fighting.
