The mainstream media need to start doing their damn jobs and let people know instead of cowering in fear of what Trump might do to them if they actually told the news with truth and facts.

Just follow the money. Why would the corporate/billionaire-owned media tell us the truth? It's not in their interest to do so.

I agree. If they had reported the truth Trump may never have been elected for this terrifying second round.

I feel for all of you in the US and so thankful I'm Canadian even though our mainstream media isn't much better as many of them are US owned or right wing bias. We're also having an issue with the rise of MapleMAGA!

I've read that there's also a somewhat hidden page or paragraph somewhere that would eradicate due process and nullify the constitution.

Not quite eradicate. This provision could make it harder for people to seek redress through the courts against actions that they believe violate their rights including the right to due process. This provision is a way to protect the government from being held accountable for actions that may violate the Constitution.

As sad as it is, they will find a way to pass this bill. Republicans work to make people pay for being fool enough to elect them. It's been that way my entire life. Look back over History and the only thing the Reich has ever done is start wars and hurt others. It has always been the Dems, in our lifetimes that hav eworked to make everyone's lives better. the Reich is not just happy to do better, they want everyone else to do bad too.

Do you have evidence or data? Do people who need help get helped by the Affordable Care Act expansion? By the American Rescue Plan, the Child Tax Credit, SNAP benefits, workforce training programs, environmental justice, affordable housing, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law?

You are beginning to act like a bot. Say something provocative and without reference or proof, and when challenged, backpedal and agree to only a single point. If you are a bot masquerading behind a name…. Gotcha!! And if you are a name, firing off comments without checking or reference, just like a bot. Take care, carelessness causes more problems to be solved. Be accurate, do your research, fact-check more than once (three times at different places is best) and PRESENT FACTS, not inflamed opinions.

Take care.

If people remember, we learned in school that the Republicans are for business and Democrats are for the people. No matter how you look at it, taxes and jobs are what make the economy run, not fairy dust.

There is much confusion about the selling of Federal Lands that is in the bill. Can you do a story on what it actually means. Many in my community are stating the federal government will still lease these lands or they will only sell undesirable lands. How is it to be used for affordable housing? We have plenty of private lands for sale for development. Why is this needed? It appears private equity firms may be involved. Do you have any information?

Not only call your SenateCreature, but ask him/her how a vote for this bill is consistent with his/her Christian beliefs.

From Rev. Jim Wallis: Christianity is not a religion that gives some people a ticket to heaven and makes them judgmental of all others. Rather, it’s a call to a relationship that changes all our other relationships.

Republicans say the government gives away too much. Cutting the benefits is a giveaway to the wealthy. It is a reverse Robin Hood. Are the rich those who depend on the tax breaks? I am a veteran. I am dependent on the VA for everything. The VA gets a bad rap. I get excellent service. I have a friend who is a Democrat and is wealthy. She says the government gives away too much. I keep my mouth shut. She is right. The government is giving too much away to the rich. We know trickle-down economics never works. Reagan introduced trickle-down economics, as did GW.

Do we really believe drumpf is paying for the 2 flag poles, the desecration/pave over of the rose garden and the upcoming addition of a grand ballroom attached to the Whitehorse like the one at Mar a lago??? This is probably coming out of the tax break on the big breaking bill. He won't pay for anything as the world's biggest grifter. He never plans to leave the white house until his death. Maybe he can be buried on his golf course next to his ex wife. I am sure Melania would not care

I am pretty sure that at least some of the people who support Meidas would call themselves Christians and probably attend a church at least once in a while. As a retired priest with the Anglican Church of Canada I could always upset some of the more conservative parishioners by referring to 1 Timothy 6:10 which says: ""For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. By craving it, some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows." What really got me into trouble would be when I would ask the congregation if that verse described any person or political position they knew,

On observing American politics over the last century, I have concluded that the American population is largely self-centred, ignorant and apathetic. In their quest for something they see as freedom, security and happiness, they worship privacy, guns, consumerism and entetainment while they condone injustice, capitalism, propaganda and greed.

Fighting back is futile. Rational people should find each other to survive and stay safe. The terrible system of government that brain-washed Americans believe exists...needs to collapse. Let it go and watch out for the rubble.
