So Venezuela is going under the gun for fishing boats carrying drugs headed for America.
Let me put a spin on things for a second.
America has blown up 6 or 7 of these boats off of Venezuela in the Caribbean. They have also blown up a couple in the Pacific off of Colombia. We have seen video's of the boats being hit by rockets. We havent heard from any survivors, nor seen any evidence of drugs.
Correct me if I am wrong, but wasnt it Admiral Halsey who put in his resignation recently in the Operational Region that includes the areas of Venezuela, Columbia and the Caribbean. Less than 1 year after taking his Command.
So perhaps he decided it better to resign than follow illegal orders.

Strangely enough it is in the same immediate region abutting Venezuela and Colombia.
Are we being sold Venezuela and Drugs just to throw us off the illegal invasion of Panama to regain complete control of the short cut between the Gulf and the Pacific which Trump claims to be in the control of China.

A recent talk by a West Point professor suggests that the admiral was asked to submit a plan to disable the Venezuelan government, which would involve a complex military operation on the ground there. He gave Trump and Hegseth the plan and said he would await the Congressional approval to declare war. None was forthcoming and then the admiral stepped down. He either refused to follow illegal orders and was asked to resign or it was implicit that's what they were asking him to do and he resigned because of it.
Meanwhile, the cartels in Tijuana, only a stone's throw from the border, are using drones to bomb government facilities. But sure, Trump, Bomb the Caribbean, cause the threat is from speedboats in international waters.
