THIS IS UTTERLY INFURIATING!!!! It makes my blood boil just to read this—but by the same token, I am not at all surprised that he would use LG’s death as a tool to push his agenda forward. He is despicable and evil. There is not a single fiber of his being that has any decency or awareness of what is appropriate. My husband was diagnosed with dementia after a string of occurrences where he said and did things that were completely out of character for him, and that were dangerous to himself and those around him. The doctor that diagnosed him called it disinhibition. Trump didn’t develop that character— he was born that way. The evilness of DJT’s soul has been there since the day he was born. I can’t wait until this fucking nightmare is over.

I love what you wrote

I am sorry about your husband and the painful journey that is. I am very familiar with that too

I feel you, I see you I agree with you.

The entire administration of lies and deception are so obvious to the entire world.

The end is coming for all the traitors

We know exactly who they are

Karma, black dark horrible Karma is coming for each and every one of them.

We, Americans must stay united, screaming louder in red states....

Nothing is going unnoticed now

Thank you so much, I appreciate your kind words—I’m right here with you.💕💕

Thank you for responding.

I took care of Alzhimers, dementia patients, cancer patients, stroke, ,you name it I cared for them in my ACLF

In my home. It's tragic what your husband had to go through, luckily he had you .

We all see with our eyes, we hear his utterly non sencical words, he is incapable of a structural sentence, never read a book in his life, no knowledge of anything

Just pure evil

Pure madness

Pure hatred. The world sees

We see, never to be fooled again

I have had no sleep in 11 years

Health issues from this nightmare

Worried for our world, our children

Suffering is coming for him

We pray he's in agony every moment of every day.

The terrible burden all of us are bearing with this regime in power must be minuscule compared to the faux sycophants who pretend that this has a shred of sanity. Lindsey internally couldn’t bear the contradictions.

Graham sold his soul when he betrayed his closest friend & colleague, John McCain, in exchange for assumed power by becoming “friends” with his butt buddy, tRump. The joke’s on Graham, as tRump’s sociopathy is so bad he has no idea of friendship and would sell his mother if he thought he’d gain from it. Can anyone say “term limits” for all our representatives? When one becomes so greedy for money, power or attention one loses all moral fiber; including ALL tRump’s supplicants. I, foe one,

Lois's avatar

Yes of course we need term limits. But we also need to not be able to elect convicted felons, not sit back and let said felon plunder the country for his own gain, and beyond anything else need a party to defend against this plunder with strength and determination, not the weakness we've been seeing since 2016.

It's easy enough to understand why Trump wants the SAVE bill passed.

He is thinking that disqualifying enough women, POC, and poor people will save his party during the midterm elections and save his butt from the justice that is long overdue.

Marianne L's avatar

Yes! I’m a female Veteran and it took me many months to get my enhanced driver’s license due to changing my name when I was married, divorced, and married again, and moving around with the military. A man does NOT have to go through this.

Pamela Horter-Moore's avatar

Thank you! That was eloquently said.

Your real-life experience is worth more than philosophical arguments.

Women should not change their names when they marry.

Marianne L's avatar

Yes, I tell everyone this, not just the women

R Nelson's avatar

Not my call, but maybe it's time for women simply to keep their maiden names upon marriage, or at least go with hyphenation. Name children as you like, but you are still you after you marry--not an appendage of someone else--and you shouldn't have to turn somersaults to prove you're you.

But the Party knows that's not going to work.

Pamela Horter-Moore's avatar

Donald is grasping at straws.

But what little integrity the GOP had when Reagan and Gingrich transformed the party has totally been exploded with Trump. We can't trust them going into the mid-terms because winning is more important than their constituents or the Constitution they took a vow to.

After all the machinations the right wing will do the Dems will have VERY LITTLE room for error.

I just hope the POS lives long enough to face justice. He slips out of all accountability. It is maddening!

Great article, but Trump’s motivation was not a secret or a surprise.

Donna Wilson's avatar

To us Trump's motivation is clear, but I think there are too many other people who need it pointed out.

Donald Trump is pure, unadulterated evil. That cannot be argued. Case in point, whenever he and his horrifying voice come on the tv, my dog goes bonkers barking and growling. Dogs have more sense than some people.

Declan's avatar

Dogs do NOT like DRUmpf....they can sense something wrong.

Anna Kingry's avatar

Trump can't make the money he and his family make doing anything other than the wholesale robbery of this country.

Trump is evil.

Cathy Key's avatar

Sad part is this bastard is such a narcissist he honestly doesn't realize he does anything wrong. Still thinks everyone loves him.

Stewart Gooderman O.D.'s avatar

I don't think he expects love. I think he expects servitude. There's a difference.

My one (last) hope is that Republicans and Democrats are AMERICANS before they are Republicans and Democrats.

Stewart Gooderman O.D.'s avatar

The Republicans are all cultists now. They serve Trump, not the Constitution.

Cheska1960's avatar

I'm sure you are right, but I still hope that inside somewhere, an old or older Republican remembers life before trump and his cult. I am also hoping that things going on at the moment beyond our control will effect the larger entity we call Democracy. Thanks, Doc, for replying.

Hell no to the Save Act.

By dropping dead, Lindsey Graham really did do something to "save America".

May Trump, McConnell, Grassley, Bannon, and all other Trump supporting Banana-Republicans follow his timely and patriotic example - the sooner, the better.

Fetterman may want to do the same, just to make the effort bipartisan.

I had a long conversation in my grocery store with the produce manager (who I am pretty sure is a trump supporter) about strawberries yesterday! He was furious that they could not order enough from their distributor because customers won't pay what the tariffs are causing in sky-high prices, and those coming from California cost more due to fuel increases!

Also, PLEASE pass the following paragraph about the SAVE AMERICA ACT along to those who are less well-informed than we are, or who are on the fence!

"... why is Trump so hellbent on passing this legislation that he would not only exploit Graham’s death, but even try to sacrifice his own housing bill? It’s because, as Trump himself says, passing the Save America Act would enable Republicans to “not lose an election for 100 years.” Trump will claim the Save America Act is about voter ID; it’s not. At its core, this bill is federal control over how all fifty states register and verify voters: there would be a nationwide proof-of-citizenship mandate, where the Trump administration would be the arbiter of who is or is not a citizen; states would be forced to hand their voter rolls over to the Department of Homeland Security, where they would decide who stays on those rolls; and there would be a functional end to mail-in voting outside a narrow list of exceptions, which disproportionately impacts the Democrats. It would amount to the federal government consolidating authority that has sat with the states for the entire history of this country, and putting it in the hands of an administration that has already shown exactly what it wants to do with that power. Again, Trump said it: Democrats wouldn’t win another election for 100 years. And for posterity, nobody who genuinely believes in free and fair elections tells you the payoff is a hundred years of uninterrupted control."

Thank you, Brian!

Fred's avatar

I’ll be buying your book on Tuesday. The reason the Save Act is so important to Trump is that he knows Republican policies are hated by the majority of Americans. Tariffs, no healthcare, cutting regulations that keep us healthy, needless war with Italy, etc. Republicans cannot win an election without cheating or putting major restrictions on voting,
