I’m 79 so plan on getting the flu shot early October & the Covid shot as soon as the 2025/2026 is available so I’m protected for the holidays.

I heard on the Bulwark, Sarah Longwell suggested "centrist" 2028 presidential candidate for Dems to be Governor Josh Shapiro. IMHO , I like AOC. Aligned with Bernie Sanders Anti Oligarchy Tour! Sarah predicted, Josh would be electable though. I feel the same frustration coming on similar to the 2016 Bernie campaign. Who ever the Dem nominee will be MUST clean up the mess and the many sycophants felon 47 has put into positions of power! No Kumbaya moments. So some ruthless, uncomfortable firings. I worry we will have to live with felon 47 cult members in the DEEP STATE now created. Democratic Leadership has disappointed me in the past not supporting progressives. Hon. Sen. Bernie Sanders is iconic and one of a kind!
I’m supporting the nominee no matter what! Now I think a governor is the most electable than a Senator and would be able to govern more effectively, and I do like Governor Shapiro.
There would be great focus on rebuilding the blue wall and North Carolina, if we make him the nominee. And electoral college wise would work. I just hope that there is some someone then who can work to retake Arizona and Nevada.

Our wise Government leaders are telling us that we the people need to be the ones to organize the Anti-tRump Resistance. The protests, the boycotts, the marches, the strikes, the blackouts are all being organized by true heroic everyday citizens! The last protest I attended was planned by a group of Grandmas!
One Million Rising (on YouTube) is a great free resource to train organizers how to build a movement. The organizers can use that free education to build whatever kind of resistance they want.
The rallies are wonderful but not as effective as Strikes and Blackouts. All of these only work if people are willing to commit to making some sacrifices. Unfortunately, most Americans don't seem to give a damn. It's easy to tell which ones are committed to saving our democracy and which aren't by asking how many new seldom wore clothes/shoes are in their closets, how many beauty products are cluttering their bathrooms, how much money are they spending on unnecessary travel, entertainment and socializing (theaters, streaming services, bars, sport events, concerts, eating out). If we aren't willing to make these small temporary sacrifices now, we may soon have nothing left to fight for.

Ben, I have a difficult time finding the words to express how much hope and inspiration that you provide me with. In the political climate of today, things in the U.S. are more hopeless than at any other time because we have a president who has such a low level of intelligence and a high level of corruption. Things seem seem desperate and dark. Trump has turned this country into a dark place. Meidas has given those of us who, although in the majority, desperately need hope and inspiration and you provide it. The importance of that can't be overstated. One specific example is that you have the number one podcast, and bet Fox in digital sources on a regular basis. You keep us going and provide confidence.
