Mr. Cohen, given your front row seat and "fixer" role in tRump's affairs for so many years, why don't you say what you know about his relationship with Epstein?

As much as I wish he could, it might just fall under attorney-client privilege, so he can’t. If not, then I wish he would too!

He released the Information about all the children the felon raped and then paid off so they wouldn’t take him to court. I’m not sure why he wouldn’t be able to release something about Epstein. Wish he’d answer the original poster’s question.

Methinks it would have to start with an indictment of the Trumpster on a specific charge. I'm waiting for someone to kick that off ... and waiting ... and waiting ...

He already has. He’s said he never saw the two of them together or heard them talking. Cockwomble never spoke to him about Epstein. He’s said this in multiple interviews and on his Substack and podcasts.

I believe Michael Cohen’s fixer days started in 2006. The two pedos had already had their falling out.

Cheeto’s Personal Needs Over National Defense: Grifter At the Top

Snopes has validated what the NYT first reported in June and now validated by other reporting agencies(https://bit.ly/4lSlUmL) that Cheeto’s Defense Department secretly transferred almost $1B earmarked for renovation of nuclear Minuteman missile silos and decided to use it for upgrading Cheeto’s Qatar gift airplane This despite the fact that there are in production 2 Air Force One’s that would be sidelined Once out of office the Orange One would then have the gift airplane for his own personal use

So in essence Cheeto is having the American taxpayers pay for the renovation of his own personal plane while a national security project to upgrade our nuclear defense of the country is put on hold

Mark Epstein, brother to the now dead sex trafficker, was told by Jeffrey that after years of friendship with Cheeto that he was staying away from Cheeto because in his words Cheeto “was a crook” When criminals hang around with each other they each get to know what dirtbags they are The problem for the country the crook happens to be a salacious lowlife

Yes! And Trump's tariffs are basically extortion of our closest allies and worst enemies alike, and of course, the American people.

Tariffs are another way to move money from the people who live in the USA to the oligarchy. It's a tax on the people that doesn't go through the IRS it goes directly to the pockets of the ultra rich. Companies can just raise prices and blame it on the tariffs, any amount they choose.

And Jimmy Carter had to put his small peanut farm into a trust to avoid the appearance of impropriety... I can just picture the congresscritters with their stock brokers on speed dial as they watch the vote tally on any particular legislation that could impact the stock market. Cretins like MTG likely make more calls to their stock brokers than constituents. It's all about the gridt...

Given the amount of money that corporate donors and PACs contribute to candidates, one could argue that the donors and PACs are the real constituents. The voters may as well be props.

MPT's avatar

Isn't that the truth! Just like the lying, thieving, criminal trump. He promises his props lower prices, more jobs, no tax on Social Security and overtime, to end all wars in 24 hours, and to clean the swamp. He then hires billionaire donors and gives them the keys to the US Treasury where they grab the loot and leave the props with nothing tohold but the bag. And that is the case with almost all republicans and many corporate democrats. Republicans, though, are especially adept at picking the pockets of their props.

True, but corporations, large donors, and PACs make and market the misleading, lying advertising that suckers the props into votig against their own best interests. Last season the GOP bought millions in ads trashing trans people on football games. It's psychological manipulation and propaganda, but the props eat it up. The trump wealthy stole the Brinks truck and the props are chasing the pennies dropped from the bumper. Rinse and repeat...

Totally agree that Congress is corrupt. But not with Jefferson's quote. Nevada has a citizen legislature. They get paid $10,000 every two years. Which means they can't be there for constituents. They have day jobs. Day jobs that allow them to spend four months in Carson City every two years. Most of them are small business owners. Or doctors or lawyers. Some are teachers - they had it written into their contract that they could leave, but they don't get paid for those months. So, if you're not being paid, and you own, say, an energy company, then you're going to focus on passing energy related legislation. Nevada's system invites special interest legislation by legislators who will directly benefit. So, not getting paid is also not the answer.

But let's keep Easter Island, the Statue of Liberty, Big Ben and the Eiffel Tower this time.

You guys are great. I truly appreciate you. I have been fighting the fight for a real democratic government for about 60 years. It’s pretty damn depressing to see where this country is now. I presently see no real efforts to take back the country from Trump and his fascist minions. The democrats do virtually nothing except ask for money. I write postcards. I send money to progressive organizations. I go to small demonstrations that no one pays any attention to. I listen faithfully to podcasts like yours. I get inspired and find nothing much to do with that passion they inspire. Anyone who rebels, gets punished (eg Harvard) or fired. Where is the leadership? Where are the young Bernie Sanders or 50 more AOC’s. Or why aren't the brilliant, passionate folks like yourselves really building a movement that might be capable of fighting back? Why aren’t the unions striking as they have done in places like France? How much further are we going to let these fascists take over without a fight? I have young grandchildren for whom I deeply fear for their future. How do we find or grow real fighters, to lead folks into the streets? I welcome your thoughts, your wisdom. For regularly speaking the truth. Thanks for all you do and all that I learn from you. I hope and pray that somehow a real movement will develop before it’s too late. T. Forman

Oh come on now. I'm no fan of corrupt legislators or of Trump's corrupt minions, but the Congressman didn't "admit he’ll go broke without insider trading." I adjust my investments to (hopefully) improve returns. Members of Congress should be able to do so as well. That doesn't mean better guardrails aren't necessary. The STOCK Act in 2012 is a failed solution that is in desperate need of an overhaul. For example, Instead of forcing members of Congress to disinvest, they could be required to put their investments in a qualified blind trust.

I have huge admiration for America, which has delivered so much joyous, creative energy to all of us. But there is also something toxic about a culture which can so easily be ambushed by greedy, egomaniac fascism, whose relentless, killer-punch emergence has taken us by surprise to be honest. Unexpected, and bloody frightening. One hopes more Americans who got sucked in at the polling booths look into their souls, see the light and fight back. Democracies across the world like mine, imperfect though they may be, are desperate for recovery of the United States at its very best. And let's be clear, for what it's worth Mr Trump, good Socialism is not Communism. Anything but; essentially about the power of caring for each other. Love from Barry, Sydney, Australia
