SPEAKER 3
I'm joined by Democratic Congress member Seth Moulton. Congressman, your former Marine, Donald Trump's actions seem to be disproportionately attacking the veteran community, the spouses, members of the armed services, both in terms of the cuts in the federal government where a lot of veterans work, as well as to veterans affairs.
0:23
We're learning what 60,000, 70,000 jobs could be lost. I want to get your reaction to that.

SPEAKER 1
Yeah, I mean, look, Trump has never liked veterans. I mean, let's not forget, this is the guy who literally made fun of John McCain for being a POW in Vietnam, who called people who sign up losers, and if you get killed, a sucker. I mean, this is just who Trump is.

This Dem Exposes Trump’s Betrayal of Veterans, Allies, and the Economy

Former Marine and Democratic congressman Seth Moulton (D-MA) breaks down Trump’s cowardice and the MAGA cult’s hypocrisy.

I had the chance to speak with Rep. Seth Moulton, a former Marine and Democratic congressman, and he laid it out plain and simple—Donald Trump has never respected veterans, and he’s proving it once again by gutting the VA and attacking those who have served.

“Let’s not forget, this is the guy who literally made fun of John McCain for being a P.O.W. in Vietnam, who called people who sign up losers, and if you get killed, a sucker,” Moulton reminded us. This isn’t new. This is who Trump has always been. And now, by slashing tens of thousands of VA jobs, he’s making sure veterans can’t get the care they earned.

But here’s the kicker: Republicans know Trump is a fraud. They know his NATO betrayal is reckless. They know he’s destroying the economy with his chaotic tariffs and dangerous instability. But they go along with it anyway—because they’re scared. “Fear,” Moulton said, summing it up in one word. “They’re just cowards.”

Think about that. MAGA Republicans stand and cheer when Trump talks about abandoning our allies—the same allies who stood with us after 9/11, who fought and died alongside American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Meanwhile, Putin and Xi are watching Trump’s weakness and taking full advantage. As Moulton put it, “Trump is literally using the talking points of the enemy.”

And what about the economy? Trump promised prices would go down on day one. Instead, the stock market is tanking, GDP is collapsing, and we’re seeing stagflation for the first time in 50 years. Every day, Trump flip-flops on tariffs like he’s watching the market like a casino addict, panicking when it doesn’t go his way. No wonder Moulton’s office is being flooded with calls from Americans who are desperate and scared.

And then there’s DOGE—Elon Musk’s shadow government. While MAGA Republicans refuse to hold Musk accountable, Moulton sees the reality: “He’s not making government more efficient. He’s making it non-existent.” Veterans won’t get the care they need. Federal agencies are in chaos. But no Republican will dare hold a hearing because they’re too afraid of their billionaire overlord.

So what do Democrats do? Moulton had a message for his party: fight. But also listen. “We got the message that we lost. We got the message that you don’t trust us anymore. We’re going to turn this around.” It’s not just about calling out Trump—it’s about giving voters a reason to believe in a better future.

IMHO acquiescence to Putin is the least common denominator.

But all politics is local so where I live 3 MAGAT Cuban American House members deplore Trump deportation of their own people, most who have valid visas or are humanitarian visa sponsors. 2 of 3 had been Democrats. One born in Cuba. When Musk fired people in South Florida, most are Republicans.

They'll never stand up to them as long as he's greasing their palms. They are $ellouts to a $ouldout, $ouless POS. Putrid owns him lock, stock, and barrel, and Musk? Well, in his mind (and that of his son, apparently), Musk just bought himself America! His little son told Trump, "You're not the president. STFU." Did we see and hear that? Musk standing in our beloved and sacred Oval Office high as a kite (ketamine addict) in a baseball cap and overcoat while the overweight diaper-wearing orange-faced slob who's been installed by Project2025 sat, hands folded, nodding to everything his doped-up co-president said. Outrageous!

It's up to us to show him, Trump and the MAGAT group of cannibals we're not taking this crap sitting down. We must unite as one voice regardless of party, race, skin color, religion, sexual identity, age, etc., to recapture the America we deserve. The tool of our enemy is what got us to this day of horrors- divide and conquer. Trump thrives on destruction. He dines on hate as a daily meal. He has been evil since birth. He should have been stopped after JAN 26. I'll never understand why it didn't happen. Never.

Trump accused the Haitians and the people of Congo, he claimed over and over again that other countries were sending people from prison, mental institutions, etc. He is a stupid person. He's too dumb not to repeat the same sing-song scripted BS over and over. He complains about illegals when he and most everyone else in DC have undocumented people serving in their households!

It's accepted and never talked about. They bring young people here with the promise of an education and better life, then take their passports and work them 24/7. Think that's fantasy? Dig a little deeper; it's real life, and it's true. They all do it. These hard-working people are nannies, chauffeurs, maids, and housekeepers, yet they are kept shielded for the most part. Oh, you may see them when the weather is nice, pushing a pram or walking the family dog. Otherwise, they're kept shielded from "outsiders," aka just us regular citizens.

People who gave up thinking for themselves decided to cheer him on believing they were special. Well, FAFO. Nobody is "special" except WIIFM Trump. Do we get it now? Do we see we need to reach out to our neighbors? To our communities?Do we see SCOTUS as a complete and utter failure?

What else does it have to take for us to get up, roll out, and link arms in support of one another? AFAF --Brook aka Mrs. Ed

Also, people are so stupid, they won't wake up until it injures them directly. It's fine for everyone else to lose their livelihoods or be deported, but once it happens to them . . . . then shit gets real.

At this point, it’s not just the Reps who fear him, it seems. The betrayal of elected Dems who censured a fellow member for speaking truth to power are also spineless. Why give money to a party that can’t get out of their own way and then eats their own? Getting vindictive won't help. Publicize the errors. Show how they hurt people of both parties, be it Republican or Democrat. Show how attacking allies hurts the US around the world. For attacks on NATO & allies, show that they supported the US after 9/11, without asking to be paid back. Including Ukraine, a loyal ally of NATO (& the US) since 1991.

Eventually Republican voters will start to see how they are being hurt by the chaos of Trump policies. They will start to oppose Trump, or at least sit on their hands in the next election. Remember that Trump won by a very slim margin.

SO, we make a CHOICE to sign a blank check to serve our country, many because they can't find a job after high school especially if they could not afford school beyond HS. We made a choice, it is NICE to be thanked for my service but i am no one special because of it, I MADE THE CHOICE, They made the choice as well they made a choice knowing Trump was corrupt, that he called us Sucker and losers because he was a coward with BONE SPURS, they knew he was a grifter, they knew he was a BALD-FACED-LIAR, they knew he was an adjudicated rapist a 34 count convicted felon and if that was not bad enough he pissed on the Constitution 2021/01/06!!!!!!!!!!! They voted for him knowing he demanded the USS John McCain be moved out of his sight, all this and they voted for him anyway, knowing how badly he F*C*ED up COVID and didn't take any responsibility, they voted for him after a million people DIED, they voted for him. As a Veteran I am saying THEY didn't CARE for America when they voted for TRUMP, WHY SHOULD PEOPLE CARE ABOUT THEM NOW WHEN THEY DID THIS TO THEMSELVES! People won't say the quiet part out loud because it is veterans. People should have said January 6th was a Bridge too far and yet these people didn't care until they started to be affected! My current congressional rep. is a "moderate Republican". I call his office every day, identify myself as a registered Independent, Ret. RN, MPH, US Army Reserves medical officer. We have a lot of veterans in this huge district (CD3, Western Slope, CO) and a very important VA hospital and services in Grand Junction, Hurd's town).

I'm glad Seth Moulton brought this up. It's huge.

I recently subscribed to Michael Sellars on Substack who is presenting in depth analysis of the possibility of tRump being recruited by the KGB in the 80’s and was actually given a code name. But it is an analysis based on statements from two ex-KGB agents and difficult to verify. He lists all the possible reasons tRump would be recruited and why this information has been largely ignored by the MSM. There is enough analysis to make an assumption that trump may indeed be compromised ,but again difficult to verify sources. But it coincides with why tRump is as they say, Putin’s Bi@tch.

President Biden ended every domestic speech with, “and may God protect our troops.” He really meant that and worked hard for veterans’ rights. In my 15 years as a military spouse (active duty enlisted) and as a civilian employee with the Department of Defense, I never could understand why servicemembers (especially the enlisted corps) believe that Republicans have their best interests at heart. It’s utter bullshit. Republicans have been trying to cut military benefits and privatize the VA for the past 40 years, while starting useless wars that maim and kill our best and brightest. Wake up, veterans. Republicans don’t care about you, or your families. You are being used!

TRUMP TO WITHHOLD TOTAL SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENTS

FROM PEOPLE SSA MISTAKENLY OVER-PAID.

NEWSWEEK: "The SSA announced on Friday that it would begin withholding 100 percent of Social Security benefits from overpaid beneficiaries.

Under the new policy, beneficiaries who are overpaid after March 27 will have their entire monthly Social Security payment withheld until the debt is repaid.

The Office of the Chief Actuary has estimated that this change will lead to a substantial increase in overpayment recoveries.

On March 27, the agency will begin mailing notices regarding the 100 percent withholding rate, replacing the 10 percent rate that the SSA instituted last year to ensure that it did not "unduly harm anyone" by withholding money to repay itself after mistakenly overpaying a beneficiary.

The change applies only to new overpayments related to Social Security benefits.

Current beneficiaries with overpayments incurred before March 27 will not be affected, and no action is required. The withholding rate for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) overpayments remains at 10 percent.

Those who cannot afford the full recovery of their overpayment can contact the SSA at 1-800-772-1213 or visit their local office to request a lower rate.

Additionally, individuals have the right to appeal an overpayment decision or the amount in question. They can also request a waiver if they believe the overpayment was not their fault and they cannot afford repayment. The SSA has confirmed that it will not pursue recovery efforts while an initial appeal or waiver request is pending."

I think that Trump is a slave to his own fragile ego.

He has to be reassured that he is important.

So flatery by Putin, who is (or at least seems to be) firmly in control of Russia impresses Trump. He would like to be like Putin, and not necessarily do what Putin wants.

(Remember Trump said "Putin said I am an intelligent guy", and "only a stupid person would deny that", as if Putin saying that was important.)

So Trump publishes (what are to him) impressive executive orders (with his child-like signature), with the help of project 25 supporters.

The problem we face is not only Trump being unclear on the concept, but his supporters who are either incompetents unclear on the concept (eg JFK jr), and/or have an agenda of personal enrichment at the expense of the country (eg Musk).

The task of legislators is to expose this to citizens, as well as trying to motivate elected Republicans & the courts to push back.

Not easy. These are trying times.

This is how a dictator wins, create fear and threaten the opposition , most politicians are cowards when it comes down to it, (Trump is following the autocratic handbook and it is working, he learned from Orban and Putin, his favorite book is "Mein Kampf").

They don't seem to understand that Trump himself is a coward, all his grandstanding and bullying are a sign of insecurity.

We saw how he deflated in the debate with Kamala Harris, he looked pathetic.

Unfortunately she did not keep it up, Harris had a pretty good campaign, but did not focus on his lies (30,000+ in his first 4 yrs).

The Dems could have made mincemeat out of him, but most were afraid of the MAGA's and the violence. It is not just the GOP who are cowards.

The weakness of Biden and the Dems for not boasting about Biden's accomplishments and allowing Trump and Fox to bash him 24/7.

Biden allowed Garland to fumble the investigations into Trump. One blunder after another.

The reason why the Harris campaign never did a recount of the election was fear of violence, the election was rigged to the hilt (no exit polls either).

It takes guts to stand up and fight. Seth Moulton is a little naive to think that Trump does not know that our allies helped us after 9/11. Trump is a pathological liar.

I received this from a friend in Pennsylvania, who got it from a friend in Michigan, ... Not sure where it originated from.

"On March 15th, ides of March day, many people will mail Donald Trump a postcard that publicly expresses our opposition to him.

And we, in vast numbers, from all corners of the world, will overwhelm the man with his unpopularity and failure.

We will show the media and the politicians what standing with him — and against us — means. And most importantly, we will bury the White House post office in pink slips, all informing Donnie that he’s fired.

Each of us — every protester from every march, each congress calling citizen, every boycotter, volunteer, donor, and petition signer — if each of us writes even a single postcard and we put them all in the mail on the same day, March 15th, well: you do the math.

No alternative fact or Russian translation will explain away our record-breaking, officially-verifiable, warehouse-filling flood of fury.

Hank Aaron currently holds the record for fan mail, having received 900,000 pieces in a year. We’re setting a new record: over a million pieces in a day, with not a single nice thing to say.

So sharpen your wit, unsheathe your writing implements, and see if your sincerest ill-wishes can pierce Donald’s famously thin skin.

Write one postcard. Write a dozen! Take a picture and post it on social media tagged with #TheIdesOfTrump

Spread the word! Everyone on Earth should let Donnie know how he’s doing. They can’t build a wall high enough to stop the mail.

Then, on March 15th, mail your messages to:

President (for now) Donald J. Trump

The White House

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW

Washington, DC 20500

Not my original post but someone else's great idea! Copy and repost….

I think the fact that it’s a mailing campaign is awesome because it supports the U.S. Postal Service which is under attack as well…

Someone also suggested using the Forever Flag stamp and placing it upside down - signaling our distress."

Really good discussion. Thank you. Love the longer-form interviews like this. I’ve been thinking for years that big box media “interviews” that are about 30-90 seconds are really doing America no favors. Everything had been boiled down to sound bites and all real meaning was lost. Our civic discourse was in shambles. Not to mention the peddling of dishonesty in the guise of “balance,” bias, and finally flat-out censorship on the part of $$$big business media company owners$$$. So glad that new and independent media has come galloping into our civic and social discourse just when we need it most.

I've said this many tines, amd I still stand by it.

We all know that if trump were required to submit to a security clearance investigation, he would not pass. He regularly praises Putin, and in the past, when asked about the reports that Russia interfered in the 2020 election, trump stated that 'he asked Putin, but he denied it, so there is no reason to doubt him'. This was in the face of eleven US intelligence agencies claiming just the opposite.

Trump has been compromised, there’s plenty of evidence to support that. So that brings us to today.

Trumps intentions are to bankrupt this Country, so that putin can come in and take it over financially. Why else would he be wanting to increase the national debt ceiling, while at the same time be cutting federal agencies under the excuse of trying to lower the budget. If his plan on eliminating these agencies were going to work, like he

stated, why then would he need to increase the debt ceiling? The only plausible answer is that he is trying to

bankrupt the United States.

He’s removed all of the federal officials who could stop him, except for federal judges, who he now attacks saying

those who side against him need to be removed. These are words of a dictator who is trying to take over the Country, plain and simple.

Veterans are now seeing his lies come to fruition, he used them for their support and votes, now he throws

them to the curb.

We must stop this coup, or a it will lead to a civil war.

Canada and Mexico as enemies? It occured to me that NOT ONLY did they fight wars with us, support us after 911 - but for over 100 years we have had peaceful borders with them. China has had 4 wars with Vietnam in the past 60 years. Mexico and China are great neighbors. So why go after them? Well, if winning looks like:

→ RAISING everyday prices,

→ HUMILIATING our allies abroad,

→ CODDLING dictators like Vladimir Putin,

→ FIRING millions of federal workers, and →

→ SLASHING Social Security and Medicare benefits…

...then count me OUT.

The simple truth is that’s not what “winning” looks like to the American people, but it is what it looks like to Elon Musk and his billionaire buddies.

That’s why I know that I’m not being dramatic when I say that special interests have exercised a hostile takeover of our federal government, all thanks to the spineless “leadership” of Donald Trump and JD Vance.

Seems like the Republicans are meeting together all the time but the Democrats just do the one convention before election day and individual Dems opine in the media. Project 2025 is despicable, but at least it’s a plan. Where’s the Democrats’ cohesive plan for midterms, special elections, and the presidential elections?

This is a nightmare and too many veterans voted for Trump. I worked for the VA and my husband is a disabled Vietnam veteran. ONLY the VA has the expertise to identify, research, and treat the special problems of those who served in the military.

Talk about hypocrisy- Trump says he will immediately give visas to white S. Africans who want to come here ( like Muskrat) but is gearing up to revoke legal status to thousands of Ukrainians refugees. Don’t need to have genius IQ to see what’s going on there.

Wonder how many MAGA Republicans fell for Trump’s misuse of the words “transgender” and

“transgenic “ which is the correct word he should have used when he was berating $8 million being spent on transgender experiments- are you wondering how many humans volunteered for those experiments??!! Transgenic, the correct word means the mice were genetically altered for experiments on human health. Quite a difference. He is so blind and deaf to anything about transgender…..makes me wonder if he mistook on purpose ( speechwriter guilty also) or he really is as uneducated as we think.

You are right about getting rid of the lobbyists, as they’re being paid by Big Corporate. They’re NOT doing anything for the People. They’re paying those in government to go their way.

Yeah, I mean, look, Trump has never liked veterans. I mean, let's not forget, this is the guy who literally made fun of John McCain for being a POW in Vietnam, who called people who sign up losers, and if you get killed, a sucker. I mean, this is just who Trump is.
