My favorite quote today: - Klobuchar: “Trump blaming Democrats is like that CEO who got caught on camera blaming Coldplay!”

Kathie Punturiero's avatar

Thanks for the update. I appreciate what you go through to provide it. May I say I’m good if you never report on what Anna Paulina Luna (tic) has to say?

Diana's avatar

Ooh - harsh. I like it!

Oaktown's avatar

I kinda liked this one from Ron in response to our DickHead Prez complaining Powell was the worst Fed Chair ever, then digging his hole deeper with "I know better than anybody what’s good for the Market, and what’s good for the U.S.A.”:

"… Trump appointed Powell, so if he’s the worst Fed Chair in history then Trump hurt the country with his incompetence on appointments. Trump has trashed well over half of the cabinet officials he has appointed from the first term as weak, incompetent, stupid, etc, so obviously he’s the worst president ever at appointing senior officials by his own admission."

Amen.

As we’ve watched the last 6 months unfold, the lawlessness abetted by GoP spinelessness, we really need to start calling this regime’s policies ANTI-Constitutional. “Unconstitutional” now sounds too mild, an inadvertent miss, when it’s actually an overt attack. All these GOP officials & appointees are bending their wobbly knees to Trump. They falsely swore an oath to protect and defend that 249 year old document.

We had a deal with Iran. It wasn't the best, but it was the most forward step we'd had, ever. The short-fingered vulgarian had to get rid of it, because he had to destroy everything Obama. Didn't matter what it was - because the Black man who went to the WHITE House, insulted him at that dinner, and had to be punished.

The majority of Christians in this country are not Christian Nationalists who look forward to slaughtering their enemies as did all those of old who blamed their wars and greed on God. Although, the current regime will be working hard at eliminating all of us who are not. I'm sure he hasn't forgotten his desire to "deport" Bishop Budde (born in NJ) because she asked him to have compassion and mercy on those weaker than himself.

Actually, in the podcast interview Ben, Brett, and Jordy Meiselas had with Nicolle Wallace, which rerun I watched again yesterday, they stated that they DO read the newsletter and bulletin comments. Ron Filipkowski does as well regarding his daily bulletins.

If you were THAT concerned about Iranian nukes, maybe you shouldn’t be throwing your support behind the “big Satan” who ripped up the nuclear deal that Iran was complying with. Per the inspectors.

THIS is why nobody can stand MAGAs. Always, ALWAYS creating problems meant to make things worse, only to end up unable to fix what you broke.

Over and over again.

So now you’ve decided that the BEST way to move forward in the 21st century is to educate yourselves about how The Crusades happened.

Because what ELSE could Iran’s policy be in regards to a “christian” country so thoroughly sacrilegious that “Trump bibles” exist? 🙄

Kate's avatar

Not everyone in this country are 'christians' and what the 'christians' are doing isn't CHRISTIAN!! This country was founded by DEISTS! NOT TODAYS 'CHRISTIANS'

I live in California. I know my state history. This is factually incorrect. California WAS part of Mexico from 1821 (when Mexico gained independence from Spain) until 1848 (after the Mexican-American War). Before 1821, it was indeed part of New Spain.

There are several. While I don't have my California history book from grade school at the ready, you certainly could go to several California State Parks and visit the museums there. We camped up and down California visiting many in my youth. But you could go to https://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=23856 . In February of 1848, Mexico and the United States signed a treaty which ended the Mexican War and yielded a vast portion of the Southwest, including present day California, to the United States. I lived in San Jose for over 40 years, which was the first capital after California became the 31st state of the union. There are plenty of other sources. Do you require more? These sources from the U.S. National Archives, Library of Congress, and established academic sources definitively confirm that California was part of Mexico from 1821 (when Mexico gained independence from Spain) until 1848 (when it was ceded to the United States through the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo).

In 1994, Ukraine relinquished its inherited Soviet nuclear weapons in exchange for security assurances from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Russia, as outlined in the Budapest Memorandum. This agreement, signed on December 5, 1994, also included pledges to respect Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty. That's not a formal agreement in your eyes?

Iran and the United States ha e a very difficult history dating to the CIA' s overthrow of a legitimate Iranian government in 1954, followed by installing the late Shah. The U.S. then supported the Shah as he became increasingly repressive.

After Iran took Americans hostage, and the repressive, theocratic government took power, our relationship has been non-existent to hostile.

Trump chose to exit the nuclear deal negotiated while Obama was in office.

Linda's avatar

Trump is far from a Christian with his past and present vices…Too many people call themselves Christians but just don’t act like one…It’s more than religion involved with Iran…

Man, I'm confused. So we had all of these "undocumented immigrants/criminals" in the U S. working and paying taxes. Now a 150,000 of them are in holding facilities and prisons that our taxes are paying for, i.e., we're spending money, where before we were making money. Does this make sense?

Who also once said if the price of eggs was too high, we should all raise chickens in our backyards.

Susan Raquel's avatar

and the truth of the matter is that raising chickens for eggs will be more costly than buying them at the then high prices. Chickens have to have some kind of shelter, they need feed, they need daily care -- all of which equals financial cost and time! If you want chickens for your own pleasure and money isn't an issue get a couple of hens. Chickens are fun to watch and they really like to tear up lawns and such lol

Trump just posted on his Truth Social an AI-generated video of Obama being arrested by FBI in the Oval Office for treason. What a cruel Sunday evening post by that evil malicious bastard acting like it's all a joke. Anything to deflect Epstein.

Fraser's avatar

Snoozer's avatar

It is a joke, and we need to treat it as such until a warrant is served. Trump's psyche is that of the teenage, pimple faced, obese boy, yearning for his daddy's approval, perceiving everyone as lesser than him and yet somehow better, making a target for belittling whenever possible. Considering the blatant cruelty of this man and his Himmler, is a cruel post really a surprise?

It makes sense to those who own these facilities and are getting paid - by our tax dollars - to hold them. As of January 2025, private companies managed all twenty of the top twenty private detention centers. All told, 86% of ICE detainees were held in facilities run by for-profit entities.

Connie Larsen's avatar

Bill Page's avatar

The point I meant to make more clearly is that it's bad enough that some are continuing to gripe and lie about 2020, but whining now about nonsensical 2016 accusations is simply absurd. Gabbard may be trying to distract us with her sucking up to her boss, but it just emphasizes the breadth, depth, and transparency of this administration's cruel incompetence.

Thank you for referencing the facts. Amid all the distractions and red herrings the trump regime spits out, it’s important to keep the facts front and center.

Ellie still in the mix in 26's avatar

I believe that's the point. Not the point of the short-fingered vulgarian, who doesn't care about anything or anyone but himself and lives in a fantasy world. But those who support him financially, boost him, manipulate him, and use him as a weapon against Constitution and Country - it's what they want.

As I was reading the Tulsi nonsense, I could not help but think of the patients I encountered in a psychiatric hospital. Some of them would say stuff that was as delusional and hysteria-laden as Tulsi. And somehow, she is being taken seriously by the MAGA mouthpieces? Oh, look! Squirrel! Nothing about Epstein to see here! We're just gonna arrest Obama. 🤦‍♀️ Love that Ron pointed out that Obama has the same immunity that Trump was granted by SCOTUS.

Howard Nutcase; “These countries are going to open their markets or pay the tariffs.”

For the love of god, quit lying about who pays the tariffs! Goddam, you literally lie about everything else, but we know who pays for tariffs, and it’s NOT the country that’s tariffed. IT’S US!!!! Damned moron. What’s next, you’re going to tell us the sun rises in the West and sets in the East? Jesus!

Susan Raquel's avatar

In his upside down, backwards world, it probably does.

Linda Fulcher's avatar

Threatening to prosecute Obama is a desperate attempt to distract attention from Epstein, but Trump's mouthbreathing followers are likely to fall for it, putting Obama in actual physical danger. There is no low to which Trump will not stoop to save his own ass. We are in grave peril.

LHS's avatar

I don't think these morons have thought through what the blowback would be like if they lay a hand on Obama or try to arrest him.

Linda Fulcher's avatar

WILLIAM CASH's avatar

Now I see more and more of the media covering for trump. This morning on Morning Joe they had a long discussion saying there's no there there. So 3 gigabytes of data have nothng and there's no reason to release it. They ignore things like this which happened with Epstein.

Case 1:16-cv-04642-RA Document 1 Filed 06/20/16 Page 4 of 9

Trump had known Defendant Epstein for seven years (New York, 10/28/02), and knew that Plaintiff was then just 13 years old. Exhs. A and B. 10. Defendant Trump initiated sexual contact with Plaintiff at four different parties. On the fourth and final sexual encounter with Defendant Trump, Defendant Trump tied Plaintiff to a bed, exposed himself to Plaintiff, and then proceeded to forcibly rape Plaintiff. During the course of this savage sexual attack, Plaintiff loudly pleaded with Defendant Trump to stop but with no effect. Defendant Trump responded to Plaintiff’s pleas by violently striking Plaintiff in the face with his open hand and screaming that he would do whatever he wanted. Exhs. A and B. 11. Immediately following this rape, Defendant Trump threatened Plaintiff that, were she ever to reveal any of the details of the sexual and physical abuse of her by Defendant Trump, Plaintiff and her family would be physically harmed if not killed. Exhs. A and B.

The media is afraid to address it.

Mary's avatar

Who cares about 2016 already investigated. They’re definitely grabbing at straws now.

sharon's avatar

What is this costing us? Every court case, every ridiculous investigation takes money from our government. Even still trump and company should be hit with SLAP suits and we should have to pay for everyone of the accused defense. I have never been so disgusted and sickened in my 48 years of adulthood as a voter. There needs to be a reckoning in 2026. But will the cult be disgusted enough with all of this madness to vote these dangerous, deluded people out? I have my doubts. The only way to win is a massive independent and Democratic voter wave. We need to show up.

I hate to bring this up but the story in today's Times about the DNC's inadequate and wholly misdirected look back to the the 2024 failed campaign is so narrow in its conception that it is clear that "We the People" will need to step forward and take the reins if it is to succeed. If what was reported becomes the basis for the Dems 2026 campaign America is dust!
