Leavitt says "Thefe will be some shots fired....." and not once did I hear that mentioned last note (Sat. nite) from ANY network....not even MSNOW???? How bout today??? Is she a God damned Nostradamus????

Alfred in the 505's avatar

Karoline Leavitticus: She’s undoubtedly looking forward to her hoped for Utopia in Gilead (in The Handmaid’s Tale).

Kathleen's avatar

I thought at the time "there will be shots fired" a very odd way to describe the coming event.

Julie Lawson's avatar

I think she may have meant that Trump was going to attack the press. Not sure though.

Alfred in the 505's avatar

@Julie Lawson: In a normal world you would most likely be right. But in this present Orwellian administration the majority of sound bites coming out of the MAGAverse is more likely projection.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

I thought so too initially but odd timing though.

C Bowlby's avatar

Seems like distraction from a staged event, like the episode during the campaign! But means nothing to influence USA gov or the nazi leadership!. Sh*t happens, especially with rump! His minions certainly had fast comments, WTF???

C Bowlby's avatar

Om seeing it as distraction and cancelation because rump had nothing good to report and he knows Americans are sick of his lies!

Going to get gasoline for my car, prices go up every day out here in CA

Julie's avatar

So darn true! 🚐$$$

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

They sure did, within 9 mins!

C Bowlby's avatar

Like waiting in line using this event to stroke rumps desires and keep them in the a-kisser

category rather than the bondo nome pastel loop!

9 mins.... hmm???

But the next question is how does this show a cause to sink$ (millions(billions$ completed) in a balloon! The freak never got close to rump!?

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Exactly, not even close but these mother fuckers are milking this for all they can. Even corporate media is taking his side. Traitors!

jim king's avatar

Diane in Ohio's avatar

I think that's what she meant, but in hindsight it was a rather poor choice of words.

Robert Goldbach's avatar

Yes..."poor choice of words" is the motto Karoline lives by.

Mwfeiger's avatar

Lev Shalev on The Narativ covered that statement before DJT spoke.

Mary Lynn M Laurent's avatar

Faked on purpose again in an attempt to gain sympathy from his base (and a reason for that ballroom!). As if anyone attempting to harm 47 has anything to do with all the damage he’s already done to our Nation or that we’d ever forget this nightmare. Even if the shooter was legitimately trying, it doesn’t change all of the damage 47 and Regime are responsible for.

Paul Kaufman's avatar

The next time they stage an attempted assassination they should hire Alec Baldwin to be the shooter…

WJB Motown's avatar

They need a highly trained sniper that never misses to get the job done properly.

A Taco less existance is called normal humanity.

CSmith's avatar

Right, I only heard that on the Meidas Touch social media page!

Kathy Hughes's avatar

I have seen claims the shooter was not on the floor the event was being held, but on the floor above the event. Whatever the case, it is disturbing to hear that there were no secure checkpoints set up at some distance from the event. People invited to the event were simply able to flash their tickets to get into the event. There was a secure checkpoint, but it was rather close to the venue.

Julie's avatar

I heard the same about the check points.. just wave your ticket & you’re in. 🤔

Kathy Hughes's avatar

That seems rather careless to me. You would expect security to be much tighter at an event hosting the president and other high government officials.

Bluefin's avatar

And don't be surprised if the shooter ends up with a light sentence, gets off in the end or pardoned!!!

Jeanine Pirro . . what a puke.

Bluefin's avatar

Indeed. Exactly my thoughts when I read that from Ron F.'s report herein.

Linda's avatar

She probably knew beforehand about this plan? Never know when the whole administration are all a bunch of crooks….

Dee Cee's avatar

"Sir" - one of the many tells when trump is telling one of his many lies. Right up there with "many people are saying."

Dee Cee's avatar

Also interesting that due to the incident, he was spared watching The Wall Street Journal receive the Katherine Graham Award for Courage and Accountability for their story about the suggestive birthday card Trump allegedly sent to Epstein in 2003.

oh how convenient!

He was going to leave immediately after his speech, before the WSJ got the award.

You nailed that on Dee Dee.

Also when he makes his accordion hands, as if he is playing an invisible accordion.

Old Man's avatar

trump, "To be honest with you, I’m not a basket case.”

Correct, you are a stark raving mad lunatic pedophile narcissistic sociopath!

Kathy Hughes's avatar

And these personality disorders are untreatable and incurable.

Oaktown's avatar

Same with dementia. He's a double-whammy risk to the country and all of humanity.

Kathy Hughes's avatar

Yes, absolutely. John Gartner, Ph.D is a psychologist who has studied Donald Trump’s speeches and videos of Trump’s movements and based upon his studies, he thinks Trump has frontotemporal dementia (based on his leg movements.) Dr. Gartner discussed this in an interview with the UK’s Times Radio. Frontotemporal dementia tends to intensify personality disorders, and this is what is happening to Donald Trump.

Oaktown's avatar

Yes, I've seen Gartner all over YouTube; hope a lot of people are paying attention. There's a little poetic justice in this because Donnie's father suffered a similar fate, which Donnie used to screw his father over, something his children will no doubt repeat.

Kathy Hughes's avatar

Fred Sr. had Alzheimer’s disease. His chauffeur used to take him down to the office where Fred Sr. would scribble with a pen on blank paper as though he was signing business contracts.

Oaktown's avatar

Well, that sounds familiar.

Robert Goldbach's avatar

People should also pay attention to Trump's niece Mary Trump, a credentialed psychologist who has been sounding the alarm about the whole family for years.

Oaktown's avatar

Yes, saw that too, and she ought to know!

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

I know someone with frontotemporal dementia who doesn't have this, although I talked to someone who knows her recently, and she said they are now thinking she was misdiagnosed. I was kind of surprised to see her listed as a speaker at an upcoming event. She was diagnosed the day Trump was elected for the first time in 2016. She thought that was amusing in a sad sort of way.

Kathy Hughes's avatar

It could very well be she was misdiagnosed. Linda Ronstadt was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, and it ended her singing career as her diaphragm was paralyzed. Later, her doctors reevaluated her and determined she had progressive supranuclear palsy instead. I was very sad to hear this as she had a beautiful voice.

Paulina's avatar

the last 5 dinners were held at the same location and without incident. Perhaps this years incident was about 1 person. If he wasnt such an ass he wouldnt be a target, afterall it appears this shooting there only happened cuz of him....... I wouldnt doubt it was staged...... Try something new Taco....

olderwoman's avatar

That is exactly what I was thinking Paulina, "Don't be such a dick, then ppl will not want to shoot you."

Regina Focht's avatar

This event has been held for 50 years there. He boycotted them in T1 and did not attend last year. He shows up this year and gun violence occurs. This event does not belong to the White House to reschedule. Given his history of not attending, would they really host an event that he was not planning on attending?? What about his security at M-A-L? Is he going to demand one of them there too? What about security for his attendance at sporting events or Rallies etc?

Julie's avatar

Coincidence? I think not!

joannegucci's avatar

Remember….”EVERYTHING TRUMP TOUCHES DIES” Case in point!!

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Is it just me or did anybody else notice the shitty quality of the video of the supposed shooter running through the metal detector? It appears to be of an old school CCTV video that was copied from a VHS tape from like the 90s. Wouldn't the Hilton have updated security cameras? My Doorbell Ring camera is better quality.

ramonaj's avatar

I thought the same thing Joanne. You can't see anything clearly.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Okay good, you noticed too. This is also raises a red flag for me.

Wes Melton's avatar

Why was the entire line of succession there? That was a mistake! Unless they knew the “shooter” would never make it to the event space. Also, how is anyone using this to justify a WH ballroom? This was a WHCA dinner, not a WH event, unless the Orange Turd is planning on taking it over as well! It does have the name White House in it.

Oaktown's avatar

Given the coordinated reaction from MAGAworld to use it as an excuse for the taxpayers funding his ballroom, his historically low popularity, the upcoming midterms, and his failed "strategy" in executing his unlawful war on Iran, odds are better that this was staged than otherwise. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if this was his third staged "assassination" attempt.

pjpsm's avatar

It is definitely the 3rd. The shooter was nowhere near Donnie & Co.

Julie's avatar

Pretty sure it was staged.. melanoma didn’t follow thru on her acting though.

Oaktown's avatar

She has no talent, let alone character. I hope she's having trouble sleeping and will soon be exposed along with her sicko husband.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

The ballroom is wildly unpopular so punting to that isn't going to help much.

Oaktown's avatar

Unfortunately there are many policies of the orange turd that are wildly unpopular but enabled and supported by the MAGA congress anyway.

Diane in Ohio's avatar

It was extremely bad judgement to have the entire line of succession in the same room at the same time. But, as we have seen time and time again, these are not serious people.

Irena Halder's avatar

A golden opportunity for a shooter .…. missed 😢

Irena Halder's avatar

@Wes Melton another question: it was a press event, so why was the top table mostly reserved for government officials? No genuine, self respecting journalist would have accepted an invitation to this dinner when it’s glaringly obvious those who attended are sycophants, just like the majority of the WH press pack members.

It’s becoming more and more obvious that the free press in the USA consists of independent journalists like @Ron Filipkowski and others like those under the Meidas Touch umbrella.

CanadaIsNotForSale's avatar

Maybe there was an actual 'Designated Survivor' quarantined somewhere. Or not ;)

Karen D's avatar

They said the only one in line of succession not there was Chuck Grassley. He probably couldn't stay up that late.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

Oh good grief. He's 92!

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

Cheney never showed up because of that! He figured if something happened he could be president in title as well as reality.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Stephen Miller is not only ugly but also a "pussy" hiding behind his pregnant wife. It's like he threw her in front him to shield himself from bullets. It's good to see that nasty bitch scared though. She is just as vile as her husband.

olderwoman's avatar

Oh, I thought that was JD Vance's wife in the pink dressed stretched tight across her pregnant belly.

I know many women do that nowadays, wear skin tight clothing across their pregnant bellies, I jsut don't like it. I am a fan of maternity wear that nicely drapes over the belly.

Dawn S.'s avatar

Hi, olderwoman, I'm an olderwoman, too, and I was just saying the same thing today; we never flaunted our protruding bellies ( and bellybuttons) we kept things more subtle and flattering.

Calcal's avatar

Yep, that's the current style, to show that you're fertile.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Yes, it was Katie Miller and I agree, I don't like the skin tight clothes on pregnant bellies either. I don't think it's maternity wear, is it?

joannegucci's avatar

I agree, I’ve ALWAYS tried to hide any bumps or bulges, now they accentuate them!

joni's avatar

Probably because there are so many with "bumps" and bulges". They shove that flesh into spandex. Sausage casings!

Not pretty...and how good can it be for the body when the skin cannot breathe?

joannegucci's avatar

It looks painful, it’s like their wearing “body girdles” I’ve worn a girdle and ITS NOT COMFORTABLE 😰 give me a mu-mu any-day! 😁

Irena Halder's avatar

Hmm women can wear whatever they want during pregnancy, even if we don’t like them or their clothes choices. Let’s think forwards not backwards, please. Let’s be less judgmental and disapproving of women in the public eye.

joni's avatar

Hard not to be judgmental, Irena, when flesh is so abundantly flaunted. Hard not to do that "double-take".

Speaking for myself, of course, but since the Kartrashians, modesty has become unfashionable.

Then there was a time when women had to cover-up and not expose even an ankle.

Both extreme, and I personally find a nice balance of attire more stylish.

Thank Goodness once-upon-a-time there was Audrey Hepburn; Jackie Kennedy; etc.

Irena Halder's avatar

I mostly agree @joni. I’m not defending Ms Miller necessarily, I’m just questioning why we rush to judgement so fast about what women wear, be they pregnant or otherwise.

Kathy Hughes's avatar

Unfortunately, Stephen and Katie Miller are sociopaths and I fear for their daughter under their upbringing.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

It would be pretty scary having them for parents. Poor girl won't have a chance. She's going to grow up in a world of hate.

Kathy Hughes's avatar

True, and I also fear for their second child as well.

NoBumperStickers's avatar

This makes 4 kids for them.

NoBumperStickers's avatar

As of April 2026, Vice President JD Vance and Usha Vance have three children—Ewan, Vivek, and Mirabel—and announced in January 2026 that they are expecting their fourth child, a son, in late July 2026. Katie Miller, married to Stephen Miller, is also expecting their fourth child.

olderwoman's avatar

No, JD Vance is making his 4th kid right now.

his wife is pg. I think this is Stephen and Katie Millers first child, I think I am right about that, but wouldn't bet the farm on it.

joannegucci's avatar

OMG! The poor kid

joni's avatar

Yep! And they breed! Scary.

Irena Halder's avatar

@joni fortunately kids often rebel against their parents’ values as they become older.

Robin D's avatar

Katie "Magda Goebbels" Miller. Fascist soullmate of Stephen.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

You're not wrong there.

Dawn S.'s avatar

Joanne, I'm wondering about why his hand is placed where it is and the thought if those two spawning is truely frightening.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

I noticed that too and was wondering why. Looks like he's protecting the one boob?

He isn’t! The now-corrupt DOJ & R’s in Congress certainly aren’t going to follow the Constitution & provide the checks they are oath bound to do. So, Dems will likely be filing yet another lawsuit…..

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

I was wondering that myself. The President is not unilaterally in charge of changes to the D.C. landscape. He should be sued and stopped, and forced to restore its at his own expense.

Cheeto’s Vigilante Voter Challenge: Voter Suppression

In every state by law any registered voter can challenge the validity of another registered voter’s right to cast a qualified vote in an election This has been termed a vigilante challenge

The Nazi Republicans are hard at work to get at states’ registered voter data so they can make this a nationwide project The Georgia Nazi Republicans beta tested vigilante challenges to registered voters in 2024 and were successful so they want to take the process nationwide but they need registered voter data to do it This is why the voter suppression bill, the SAVE Act which the Nazis are trying to get through the Senate has the specific demand that the states turn over their registered voter information And Peter Theil and Palantir are ready to create a database

This was initially reported by investigative journalist Greg Palast in the lead up to the 2024 election in a documentary Vigilante Challenge(bit.ly/41UelTx) and he then felt based on its success the Nazi Republicans would try to pull off this voter suppression tactic nationally in the next election, midterms 2026 Democracy Docket also covered this in 2022(https://bit.ly/4uc9E4c)

And no state election will be immune from such registered voter challenges Here’s an NCSL(National Conference of State Legislatures) link(bit.ly/41QB17R) as to how you can look up what laws your local state legislature has on the books And how you can be affected by vigilante Republicans who having all the data on voters will to try to disenfranchise Democratic and Independent voters with “legal challenges” as to the legitimacy of the voters challenged BTW the provisional ballots solution mentioned are not often counted

The solution: VOTE EARLY and make sure your vote is counted

Kathy Hughes's avatar

That is one major reason Doge was illegally given access to citizens’ private and personal data. There are a number of statutes which make accessing this information illegal, including statutes which make it illegal for government employees to obtain access to data not related to work they are performing.

The former IRS contract employee who exposed personal income tax information of Donald Trump and Rick Scott was sentenced for illegally accessing and exposing this information. If justice were to prevail Trump should be under a similar sanction for his actions. Palantir aims to establish a People’s Republic of China style database to monitor our own citizens in the way the PRC does. This is profoundly un-American.

Oaktown's avatar

Not just trump should be held accountable; Musk, the DOGE boys, and all employees who allowed them access should be prosecuted.

You are 100% correct about the ultimate Nerd Reich goal of 24/7 tech surveillance. Here's a link to who is on the Palantir payroll and the candidates who take money from their lobbyists; the Purge Panantir organization is trying to get candidates to sign a pledge not to take donations from Palantir, or give back any money already received: https://purgepalantir.com/the-palantir-payroll/

Kathy Hughes's avatar

I definitely agree. I mentioned Trump, but everyone you mention should be prosecuted as well. I read the Nerd Reich also and am looking forward to reading Gil Durán’s book.

Oaktown's avatar

Yes! Glad it will come out in time for the midterms. Also the Luigi Mangione trial is supposed to start in June, which will bring the deplorable state of "health care" to the forefront.

And for the record, Gil Duran says two of Gavin Newsom's advisors are on the Palantir payroll. Newsom's a bad idea; he's all in with the Tech Nazis.

Kathy Hughes's avatar

Not good news about Newsom’s Palantir advisors. Palantir is also worming its way into the British NHS system.

Oaktown's avatar

Carole Cadwalladr has been writing about that on Substack; it's already completely wormed into the UK NHS. Palantir and its ilk MUST be extricated from all government programs, but it is already so far embedded it seems only a Herculean, concerted effort can stop it.

Julie's avatar

Every darn one of them! Thanks

Oaktown's avatar

Thank you for this. Hope everyone VOTES early and follows your advice. This will be a rough ride, but we must persist and remain vigilant.

Kathy Hughes's avatar

My residential state of Ohio is currently under a hostile takeover by the Republican Party, which has gerrymandered the state, conquered the Senate, General Assembly, the state Supreme Court, the executive and statewide offices. Our outgoing Secretary of State, Frank La Rose, handed over our voter database to Trump.

Nancy Endersby's avatar

They have been working on this a long time! I grew up in Ohio.

Diane in Ohio's avatar

Ohio has the most corrupt statehouse in the country, and the takeover has been going on for many years. They just passed a bill requiring a 24 hour waiting period for abortions, doing all they can to weaken the constitutional protections the voters passed.

Kathy Hughes's avatar

You’re correct. Ohio Democratic leadership hasn’t come up with effective tactics in countering the Republicans’ moves. I say this even though I am a registered Democratic voter.

olderwoman's avatar

Protect the Vote, your writing style reminds me of Michael Cohen...

Phil Johnson's avatar

Not likely to happen in CA; Dems have a supermajority in both state house and senate legislatures and are killing us with Prop 13 efforts to snuff out property owners' protections against raising property taxes: mine is over $6 grand a year now, up from $2500 in 2000. When I croak, my kid will inherit it and its value will jack up the rate to well over $10k.

Good luck, son.

Oaktown's avatar

… Franklin Graham posted: “After three assassination attempts, some people say that President Trump is one lucky man. I don’t think luck has anything to do with it - I believe it is the hand of God. What do you think?”

Ron: … I think Franklin Graham is a nepo-baby charlatan who weaponizes the Bible to advance his political agenda.

I'm with Ron, but also think it could just as easily have been a 3rd staged "assassination" attempt so Disintegrating Donnie can get public sympathy and justify his ballroom—which should never be the venue for the WHCA dinner anyway; it's an independent organization celebrating an independent press, not an event hosted by the President.

Diane in Ohio's avatar

Anyone who thinks the hand of God is protecting Trump from harm, but not children subject to mass shootings in school where they should feel safe, needs to re-examine their priorities.

WJB Motown's avatar

Franklin Graham.....the fake Christian Nationalist Rapture Preper..........and an everyday scumbag.........has a place in hell specially prepared for him.....

Kathy Hughes's avatar

Evangelical professor John Fea has a name for people like Franklin Graham. He calls them “court evangelicals.” Professor Fea is critical of those evangelicals who have unquestioningly endorsed Trump.

Oaktown's avatar

That's most of them, unfortunately.

Irena Halder's avatar

It’s questionable that the people attending that dinner were independent journalists. The top table was reserved for government officials - that discredits the whole organisation in my view. Clearly it’s independent in name only.

Oaktown's avatar

Agree about many—but not all—attendees (i.e., PBS journalists were there), but that doesn't change the importance of protecting an independent press by keeping the venue under control of the press, NOT the White House. Americans are deserting compromised media in droves. I support MTN and others who boycotted this particular fascist event.

Suzette's avatar

The master blackmailer strikes again, now it's a whole country, Zambia. It is disgusting that he thinks that he is intelligent.

Kathy Hughes's avatar

It’s consistent with Trump’s tendency to treat every situation as transactional. To me, it’s despicable to make Zambia’s access to anti-HIV medication dependent upon allowing us to their natural resources.

Irena Halder's avatar

@Kathy Hughes yes, that struck me too. No action is too low for this greedy, vengeful regime. And this situation in Zambia is just one of hundreds that have lost USAID. It’s heartbreaking to know that millions are suffering, dying, because the regime has withdrawn support from them when they are most in need. And wasted the money on bombs and missiles for a senseless war in Iran.

Oaktown's avatar

His entire strategy is extortion and threats. He's too stupid and ignorant to come up with anything more complicated and the whole world knows it.

Diane in Ohio's avatar

Extortion is something Trump does well.

CanadaIsNotForSale's avatar
