Go to Chuck "Surrender" Shumer's book tour appearances to boo him and demand that he step down as Senate Minority Leader. Senate Democrats need a leader not a craven coward who refuses to use the little leverage that Denocrats have. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Diane in Ohio's avatar

Yea...I don't think Chuck Schumer is reading the room very well. This book tour is not going to go well for him.

I tried to call him but you can't leave a message since they are out of session.

I thought that last vote.

Congress "didn't have the algorithms that Elon has". Come on! Congress could have hired a few forensic accountants to do that work.

What a small and pathetic person Trump is that he cheats at golf, everyone knows it, but he doesn't care. How embarrassing!

bitchybitchybitchy's avatar

Well, I don't accept algorithms produced by the technobrats of Muskrat.

Susan Linehan's avatar

Well, the algorithms flagged "victims" as a bad word to be removed from websites. No wonder they need to cut back FEMA. What word WOULD they use to describe the so far 34 people killed in the Midwest/Southern storms? Will "unlucky corpses" pass the DEI test?

Kayo's avatar

So far, neither he or his press secretary have mentioned a word about the tornado death & destruction. They don't GAF.

That's why they're gutting NOAA,FEMA & VA and all those wasteful programs that help victims (aka suckers & losers).

Sheri Smith's avatar

He loves his gold-plated participation trophies. He is an addled old man.

Catherine Valencia's avatar

"Addled?!" Sheri, he's a f*cking madman!

Ellen McKenzie's avatar

And apparently those boot licking ass-kissers don’t care if he cheats either.

Snowolf100's avatar

"algorithms" What utter bollocks. No, there was the Inspector Generals who actually found fraud and waste.

May Lee's avatar

Musk's "algorithms" are a rigged to obtain the results trump wants. You can literally prove anything by skewing the numbers.

I just see that Japan is talking about putting a peacekeeping force in Ukraine. They have a good record against Russia.

Indivisible is planning a nationwide protest on Saturday, April 5. Put it on your calendar and attend one near you! Or, if you can, attend the protest in Washington, DC.

It's time to take to the streets!

The only way to stop this train wreck is to protest, in every town and city. Better late than never won’t cut it. We need to be prioritizing the fight, it’s worth everything we have.

Kayo's avatar

Thanks for sharing. I'm ready to march!

If this was late 18th century France I’d rate Scott Bessent’s odds of celebrating Christmas this year as poor. Marie Antoinette read the crowd better than he does.

olderwoman's avatar

Isn't Scott Bessent the one who said something like, "American's do not desire cheap goods?" Wasn't that him? I think it was.

'Zeldin said he is “driving a dagger through the heart of climate-change religion and ushering in America’s Golden Age”.' Wierd... I thought religion was protected in the US.

I guess we can REDACT all the stuff in the Bible about STEWARDSHIP for the home we were given by God, I suppose, since NONE of it matters as much as MONEY.

Send that "woke" stuff to the same place the GOP and white evangelicals want to send the Sermon on the Mount and the Ten Commandments...to oblivion.

CHURCH and JESUS have been solidly replaced with TRUMP and HATE.

(Even if you don't support a specific belief system, this is still really bad news.)

Oaktown's avatar

MAGAs Golden Age is on parallel with the Guilded Age, both times of increasing poverty and wealth disparity. Once again the filthy rich are worshiping the golden calf ... oops! I meant the golden toilet.

Sal Teodoro's avatar

Thank You Ron. Your tweet on Twitter was dead on and the orange baboon didn’t disappoint.

I think that things in this country are going downhill fast and protests that are happening across the world against Authoritarianism needs to happen here before it’s too late. I hope everyone who voted for this is happy. We warned and warned them and all they talked about were egg prices and “its Bidens fault.”

Republicans are spineless idiots. Most of them know what’s going on is wrong but won’t say boo.

Thank You Ron. Have a great night. 💙🇺🇸💙🇺🇸✊🏽

olderwoman's avatar

He was right, Ron was right about coming for the judges.

We have 3 branches of government plus the free press (our 4th Estate)

Plus this week-end Trump closed down this week-end the Government sponsored VOA press.

They own 2 branches now, they have convinced millions and millions of people not to believe the press, that only leaves our 3rd branch of government to save us.

WE have to save ourselves and hit the streets, BIG TIME.

This is one of the worst days I've ever had. I feel like no one is really doing anything solid to stop these people and it isn't possible for one old lady to make that difference. I also just don't understand how there are so many evil people living in this country and just what they want America to look like. Once again, I sorely wish I could have moved to Canada 20 years ago when I wanted to.

Climbingivy's avatar

I'm another old lady who feels the same.

Karen D's avatar

To Grassley, Gingrich, Flynn, Gill, Clyde, Crane and Musk... so you'll be impeaching Matthew Kacsmaryk too then, right??

Rita Parker's avatar

They are no better than the fascists who wore brown uniforms and jack boots. The hypocrisy is mind numbing.

olderwoman's avatar

And the US Marshal Service has turned into the Gestapo.

Forcibly entering and Escorting DODGE's Nerd Reich into Agency offices they have no right to enter.

The US Marshal Service, who has a mandate to protect judges and enforce court orders, is now running around providing Gestapo muscle for DODGE.

Pattie Abee Jenkins's avatar

Brilliant! We should all be calling it Dodge!

olderwoman's avatar

Whoops!

I should fix the typo, but on second thought I think I will leave it.

I still like Dodgy the best, because it is so descriptive, but dodge is good too.

I call them "Icky and the STOOGES".

But most people under about 60 have NO IDEA what that references.

(But Dr. Reich did! Rather, his representative LIKED my original post on this topic, so it can't be SO awful...)

Rita Parker's avatar

This one made me sick. How the hell do you stop it when they're all in on it

Irene's avatar

Disgusting.

We all have to suffer because we trusted these people to protect us. Instead they cave.

May Lee's avatar

We did not ALL trust these people. Those that did (and prevailed) are now learning their mistake. Most will never admit they made a mistake. Perhaps when they lose their job, their home, their ability to buy food, and their vote, perhaps THEN they will admit it at least to themselves.

I don’t even know how to feel anymore. I am scared, I’m angry and I am so sad. What will be left of America for my children and my grandchildren?

May Lee's avatar

Short answer - not much. Our air, water, soil are polluted now, soon to be exponentially worse. Our voting system and government for the people will be/are gone. Empathy, sympathy, safety net in this country are gone already. Only white. straight, males, that are in good health will have a life - the rest of us, we're part of the slave class they're establishing to serve their needs.

"White-tie media snubs the president."

"For the first time in the 140-year history of the Gridiron Club Dinner, those gathered did not offer the traditional toast to the sitting U.S. president. Instead, leading members of the Washington press corps paid tribute to the First Amendment. The broken ritual capped off a night of ominous signs about the state of the Washington media’s fraught relationship with the Trump administration.

At the annual white-tie, off-camera and bipartisan dinner, where the guidance for jokes is to “singe, not burn,” a coldness marked the moment instead." (Politico)......

Trump is ignoring court orders. Republicans are going after judges. Apparently everyone in the military and DOJ have gone full fascist. I watched the history channel today about Hitler and the Reich. It's all very familiar. The audacity of Schumer going on book tour is too much.

Jeff Urdank's avatar

I bet his book tour will be a disaster. Hope so. ✊😎

Rita Parker's avatar

Don't know if it's true, but I read Schumer canceled his book tour. You're right. It would be a disaster.

Watch: "Tim Walz BRUTALLY Thrashes GOP In One Sentence", on YouTube. (Tennessee Brando).....

https://youtu.be/Qo7kj07lg_I?si=dY_fOwEzmAQWDd4n

Jacquelyn Suter's avatar

Barbara, thanks for forwarding Tennessee Brando's YouTube podcast. I was so impressed by his message, forcefully speaking, exactly what we Dems need to hear: We're in a war that, right this minute, we're not winning. Not winning because we're still in the Biden, Schumer era of 'let's work across the aisle -- that's what the American people want.'

I think not. What the people want is for musk and his team of incel boys to stop invading our government offices. When we don't receive our next social security check -- who do we call -- musk? Now that FEMA and NOAA agencies have been decimated of the staff they need to assist us -- who do we complain to -- trump? musk? Alabama has just had a deadly tornado, with multiple deaths. Who do we call when FEMA is not on the ground as it was in the past?

I'm angry. I think SCOTUS needs to rise to the occasion and discuss how they need to intervene. But that's not how the separation of powers works, right? No, it's not. But I would submit that we're not going to have a Constitution with sepatration of powers that work AT ALL unless we can act to impeach trump, deport musk, and get some into the Oval Office who we can trust.

Barbara Gierzak's avatar

You're welcome, Jacquelyn. I like Tennessee Brando a lot too!

Regarding the item about DOGE people going into IRS offices, etc. and demanding files and access and firing people, i deeply regret i'm retired and not working in one of those offices.

Because if i was, and if any DOGE creeps approached me in that manner, i guarantee their blood and mouthfuls of broken teeth would keep them well out of business bothering people for a long, long time.

I urge this remedy when approached at work by DOGE people. Do such damage that you disfigure them permanently. They are trespassers, interfering with you, and threatening you. Damage them.

Little man Lyndsey Graham, should voice his opinion on Putin to his boss. I doubt that he would listen to him though. I wonder how he, as an ex Jag officer feels about dishonoring his sacred oath to the Constitution?

Catt woman's avatar

Lyndsey says Putin is a predator today but tomorrow he’ll be kissing his butt. What a wishy-washy piece of dog crap!

foofaraw & Chiquita(ARF!)'s avatar

Just be glad you have ANY other choices than Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott (who claimed there is "no systemic racism in America", months after publicly reporting that he had been "stopped while Black" 17 times while in DC.)

foofaraw & Chiquita(ARF!)'s avatar

Regrettably, Lindsey Graham "represents" me (his ladybugs and all.)

I sent him this email minutes ago, and I suspect I will come to regret parts of it. (The parts with words.) Still. we do what we feel we must...

Senator,

As long as you continue to support Putin's annexation of The United States of America thorough your support of Trump's attacks on our Constitution, I will continue to wear my "Leningrad Lindsey Must Go" t-shirt here in Horry County, where my family has lived long enough to have once had a land grant from the KING. (Of England, NOT WASHINGTON, DC!)

Shame on you sir, to put our CONSTITUTION so far down your list of priorities!

Jude C's avatar

He represents me too as does Tim Scott. They clearly have taken the MAGA bait and we can’t get rid of either. Even though I come from a fairly blue district within Richland, we are a minority in the state. It’s a no win situation. Can’t get rid of Joe Wilson (you lie) either.

foofaraw & Chiquita(ARF!)'s avatar

Jude,

Despite living in Horry County (home of far more liberal thinking Myrtle Beach), it's still the (geographically) largest county in the state, and once one crosses the Intracoastal Waterway headed west (which youngest dumb-son-Trump still calls "IntERcoastal, despite all the time he spent at Mar a Lago, literally FEET away from it), it may as well be the set from DELIVERANCE. (Except that it's flat as a plate, so no waterfalls.)

Living here isn't exactly "fun", and may end up being a serious danger, but if there's anywhere that we're needed, it's here. While I don't trust MAGAtts in groups of more than two (the "vortex of ignorance" causes terrible things to happen within), I've gone to great lengths to try to make Dems just a bit safer (including ME, I hope)...

"Can wearing progressive messages EVERY DAY for FIVE YEARS make a difference? I hope so…"

https://medium.com/@foofaraw/many-more-people-will-die-because-of-trump-i-hope-i-wont-be-one-of-them-41b2f1493036

While I can't do much, this is something I CAN do...every single day for some 1,800 days so far without exception or break.
