… Speaker Mike Johnson on Newsmax: “We are now quite literally locked into a contest to determine whether we’re gonna keep our republic, keep the country as it is, or break this down to the foundation and go down an entirely different road toward communism.”

No, Mikey Li'l Johnson, you, your dear leader, and your toady maggot party broke the republic down to the foundation, as outlined in your manual Project 2025, and the Nerd Reich is pulling your strings. Anti fascist voters will put our country back on the road to democracy.

RobWhitH's avatar

Mikey was 17 years old when the Wall fell in 1989. He doesn't know anything about communism. I guess it must be a scary word for the MAGA idiots in focus groups. And today, under Trump, ICE is just like the KGB or the Stasi of the old GDR.

ramonaj's avatar

Rob Whit...Don't forget. He spent some time in the woods. With his cookie boy elf friends . He may not have heard about it right away.

Wendy B.'s avatar

Most people nowadays associate nothing with the word "communism" except McCarthyism in history class. We recognize the tactic. Maybe the homeschooled MAGA didn't get that lesson?

johanna hays's avatar

Absolutely one reason against home schooling although some stuff even trained teachers fail at.

Oaktown's avatar

Communism has been a KKK boogieman for centuries. It's a dog whistle white nationalists obey every time.

Linda's avatar

It stuns me that given the price increases listed, the gop thinks 3.6% increase in cola, largely for folks with no other income, is too much

Rita Parker's avatar

They love white nationalist billionaires. They think everyone else is a parasite.

Jo Burns's avatar

Please remember that the Medicare will also increase 3.8% so we gain nothing.

ramonaj's avatar

If they don't take it away. Completely. Dumold expects to give us a whole 2000 dollars to buy our own Healthcare. Damn idiot.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Fuck Google, YouTube and other "Alphabet" shit. It's only a matter of time before Tim Cook drops to his knees and makes the change on Apple. I'm so sick of these fascist fucks! Sundar Pichai 🖕

LHS's avatar

I hunt through my computer's cookies every day and delete any Google cookie I find. This "Lake America" crap only makes me hate Google even more.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Totally!! I have so much hatred for all of these CEOs that turned fascist.

Oaktown's avatar

I haven't used Google for years; I search with duckduckgo.com. The only time I go to Google is to give them a piece of my mind in the search bar when I'm really pissed off. I do watch YouTube, but have never (nor will I ever) open a Google account and consent to their "terms and conditions."

johanna hays's avatar

We have to admit to the degree they have us surrounded.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

That's true, Johanna. Pisses me off.

👋 hey Jo . I agree. I can not take much more of this crap. The endless lies and BS. This has to be stopped. It's insane. Everyday. 😡🤬🤬🤬

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

We will NEVER forget what they have done. These fuckers think we "need" them. We need to show them we "don't need" them.

ramonaj's avatar

I do not believe the remainder of this country sees what we see. They are either ignoring everything or believing this shit. It is because of those ignoramus' that he got in office . The stupidity of it is unforgivable. If you voted for him. This is on YOU.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

I read yesterday some of these dumb fuck Americans believe that Russia and N. Korea are good guys and all of our "former" allies are bad guys. They believe every fucking word Trump/FOX News etc. say! We are so beyond fucked.

ramonaj's avatar

I have no faith we get out of this. Everyday it gets worse. November can't come soon enough. And even then , we are still screwed.

Francois Boudreau's avatar

In Canada, Google maps still displays Lake Ontario and Golf of Mexico. I'm guessing it's the same everywhere else in the World, except in the US. (And Salvador or Argentina maybe...)

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

That's good to know, Francois. Gee, us Americans are so lucky we have to see that shit. *sarcastic* I'm glad Canada and other countries don't have to see that crap.

The FBI: Competing with ICE to hire the worst of the worst

Christina Gray's avatar

Well, then there's the stipulation that the act of bestiality happened before the applicant turned 18. Excuse me?

ramonaj's avatar

These people are supposed to be law enforcement. WTF

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Remember that former cop lady, Ramona? I wonder what she is saying now? 🤔 You remember, yes? The one I blocked? 😒

ramonaj's avatar

I could give two shits what that bitch has to say. They are all nuts Joanne. She was a cop /nurse. Sure thing . What a psycho! Never heard from her again. 🤯

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Yeah, she is a bitch. I blocked her psycho ass. So glad I don't have to see or read her shit.

ramonaj's avatar

Wonder if she is pro beastiality before 18?

Wendy B.'s avatar

Bestiality is animal abuse with a sick, perverted sexual twist. Teens who commit animal abuse often grow up to be domestic abusers and sometimes serial killers. Teens who commit sexual offenses usually just keep committing them until they get caught. There are many offenses I would be willing to overlook when committed by a teenager, but not that one.

ramonaj's avatar

Now that qualifies you to be in the FBI. What xould possibly go wrong ? 🤔 🙄

Oaktown's avatar

... and the DOJ.

LHS's avatar

I almost laughed out loud when I read he was blaming BIDEN for the low SPR. Almost. Yep, Joe Biden did everything bad in our country. Saint Donnie is gonna fix it all for us. Sheesh.

CSmith's avatar

… “The new standards also specifically address applicants who have engaged in past acts of bestiality or animal cruelty – saying they may still be considered for the bureau as long as the incidents took place before the age of 18.” Even if someone were to have engaged in that activity before the age of 18 there is seriously something wrong with them!!! Really?? The FBI is going to hell in a hand-basket which was already obvious with it being under the direction of Kash Patel but really how low can you go?? 👹 Thanks, Ron, for your hard work on a Sunday and I hope you enjoyed your Saturday off!!! 😎

Christina Gray's avatar

What keeps running through my mind is that many serial killers got their start killing animals -- well before their 18th birthday. So, yah, there's probably something wrong with them.

CSmith's avatar

Yes, I should have added that comment!

LHS's avatar

How far the FBI has fallen. Disturbing and disgusting.

Rita Parker's avatar

I can hear it now: Sure I had sex with a goat, but I was sixteen. Make me an FBI agent. Seriously, WTF.

Ask the Editor Q:

This is more commentary than question, but it needs to be addressed.

Why are so many Dem consultants so obsessed with Piker? I'm not a fan of Piker and don't listen to him, but I understand a lot of young people do. That said, he's just a streamer, not ane elected or party or DNC leader. At the same time, these same Dem consultants are completely ignoring the vile vitriol from Loomer, who actually has Trump's ear. Why are Dem consultants more worried about slamming AES vis-á-vis Piker than slamming Trump and Republicans vis-á-vis Loomer?

Rita Parker's avatar

Corporate Democrats know how to turn victory into losing. They're owned by AIPAC. They support Israel over the United States. They also don't like Muslims like Mamdani and El-Sayed. Piker is simply a tool to destabilize El-Sayed. I'm an old white woman, who would not be described as Progressive by the people who know me. BUT, I like Hasan Piker and I do listen to what he has to say. They're trying to make him into the boogeyman, but he's not. Worse, they give the Laura Loomers of the world a pass.

bLUEduRham's avatar

Dem consultants… suck.

RobWhitH's avatar

Piker is not a candidate. He is just someone with a big mouth like thousands of others in social media. Like Carlson, Greene, Megyn, the Laura's and so many others that say outrageous stuff for clicks and engagement...the iron laws of social media. He and they should be ignored. But the State of Israel is worried that the bi-partisan coalition of Carte Blanche support in Congress is falling apart so I think we can expect that government to conduct a propaganda and disinformation campaign against Democrats, and who best to start with than the political consultant class? Forget it: vote for Democrats up and down the ballot in November. Job #1 is to get control of Congress and thus the government away from Trump's total control.

Wendy B.'s avatar

Well, the thing Piker said was about Jews. And I believe the DNC has received a substantial amount of funding from Israel in the past/maybe recently as well. Possibly they have something to do with each other?

Trump giving away part of Yosemite National Park to Kingsbarn Realty.

Trump administration reportedly pressured NPS to give Kingsbarn Realty a Yosemite land parcel, raising concerns over a proposed road to its nearby resort.

Also…he destroyed 60 DC Cherry trees for a golf course!!!

colo-ski's avatar

Oh, the tree thing really pees me off.

Can this guy ever leave anything of beauty? And historic alone, he's just a wrecking ball, a tyrant. I mean, a 115-year-old trees probably as part of post-world War II. I don't know, but they're beautiful. I'm sure people walk down that path. Daily looking at those trees in the fall. And just in awe

But not any more, thanks for nothing ya Traitorous, piece of 💩

Yes. Not trying to be snarky, but that was yesterday ? Maybe. He is on to something else already . The asshole is constantly getting worse and worse.

Same party behind this that’s up in arms over drag folks reading in libraries, right?

bitchybitchybitchy's avatar

I can understand Arab-American voters sitting out the 2024 election, given Biden's decision to continue supporting Netanyahu's murderous campaign in Gaza, but they were fooling themselves to believe that Trump actually would work to reign in Netanyahu, or work for a settlement of the ear in Gaza.

bLUEduRham's avatar

Some need to learn the hard way. Ask the NYT which now cries foul. Yet they continue to serve this criminal. Were people asleep during the Covid debacle? Who did you (not you, bitchy) think you were voting for? Agh!

Oaktown's avatar

They acted like petulant children the way I see it. Anyone paying even a little attention could easily see Harris would have been a better overall choice than a demented convicted sexual predator, crook, and tax fraud who tried to overthrow the rule of law—and who loved BiBi.

Wendy B.'s avatar

I recall making that same point with them. When you have a choice between a deranged rapist and an excellent statesman who has a few policies that you don't like, you don't vote for the rapist. You vote for the statesman and try to get him to change those policies you don't like by phone calls and other means.

Ann Marie's avatar

Am I the only person concerned about lowering the hiring standards for FBI agents? Have they considered why hiring is so difficult? Could it be that an agency that many qualified individuals used to desire has totally sullied itself. Next they’ll use the hiring standards for ICE. Pathetic isn’t it?

Oaktown's avatar

No, you're not alone in your concern, and yes, it is a pathetically self-inflicted deficit.

Vote blue 🇺🇸

Deane Cardinalli's avatar

I have a question for you. According to an NBCNews.com story, Democratic Congressional leaders (Clyburn) are saying that impeaching Trump is not a Democratic priority. How do you feel about this?

colo-ski's avatar

This is what worries me daily. Is that if we do have a massive blue wave? And we take the house and maybe even the Senate by one seat, these dems, these establishment old guard, people do not have the balls nor the desire to indict prosecute and convict these people..

Which definitely needs to happen.

RobWhitH's avatar

You are incorrect in your assessment. We are all angry. That is why we have to vote for Democrats no matter what Trump's regime does to try to stop us. In a new Democratic Congress, the leaders get elected in January. The old guard is likely to be replaced especially if the progressive wing wins big. But the most important thing is to get a Democratic Congress. Congress does not have the power to indict, prosecute or convict. It has the power to impeach and convict, provided there are 67 Senators who would vote to convict. That is a high bar to cross. Congress has the power to investigate and if there is a Democratic majority, Democrats will chair all the committees and subcommittees, and they can order and lead investigations. They will control spending authorizations and appropriations, including the Supreme Court's.

Jan's avatar

That's why we'll need to sideline Hakeem AIPAC Fetterman, who's already cutting deals with that unelected, unvetted, self-serving kreepyKushner. $Millions are moving sideways, to ensure the graft machine keeps operating.

Deane Cardinalli's avatar

I appreciate the comments but meant this question for Ron.

Wendy B.'s avatar

They can't convict him after impeachment unless they hold 2/3 of the Senate, and even if there is a huge blue wave, not enough of the Senate is up for election this fall. I agree with them: impeachment is a complete waste of time. They should focus on investigating and convicting all of his co-conspirators.

RobWhitH's avatar

I agree with Clyburn. There will not be 67 Senators who will vote for conviction. I think you go against Trump like you do a mafia family: work from the outside/lower ranks up. Impeach some people like Hegseth and RFK, or Lutnick. Use that process to build a record of evidence. At the same time, investigate, investigate and investigate. Set up a special committee on Corruption. Cut the budget for ICE and mandate bare faces, no shock gloves, and names shown. Increase the IRS budget to attack tax evasion. $600 billion of taxes due are not paid!

Question(s) for Ron:What do you think will be DeSantis’ next move and do you think the Hope Florida scandal will affect him,Moody,Uthmeier and other MAGAs who were involved.??
