On his worst day, Biden was 1000% better than the rotting thing we have now.

Linda Heath's avatar

He is a rotten thing, disgustedly rotten.

Canine esque's avatar

Are we going to have to watch the rot fall off and out of him bit by bit, and listen to his absurd administration lie with every word, before the quislings in Congress do their job and sack them all?

Dik de Bruijn's avatar

The answer is Yes and No. We will have to watch the rot and listen to Trumpty Dumpty, but the quislings in Congress will never do their job and sack him.

Jane Unzeitig's avatar

From the inside out.

Dik de Bruijn's avatar

Almost but not quite true. Biden didn't have the evil tendencies that Trumpty Dumpty has, but Biden was clearly cognitively impaired. And had the Dems not left the choice to run to Jill and Joe, we might not even need to be having this conversation . . .

mer t's avatar

This isn’t helpful. Biden was clearly aging but his experience and his humanity were still very active. His judgment was intact and he had surrounded himself with very competent people.

Kerry Stutzman's avatar

I totally agree. Biden was still very capable but ageism was used against him and the GOP ran with it.

Terry's avatar

These people with their conspiracies against Biden are wild! 😂🤣😂

Dik de Bruijn's avatar

No need to have a conspiracy about Biden when you can watch vid showing how badly he was impaired.

Terry's avatar

Anyone can snip and clip a video, slow it down, add sniffing, and it still doesn't make it true. 10 toes down on your rhetoric doesn't help your conspiracies.

Dik de Bruijn's avatar

Whatever. You go ahead believing whatever you want. As will I . . .

Dik de Bruijn's avatar

Helpful or not, it's true. I'm not going to argue about his experience -- and I don't have a clue what "humanity" means to you and won't guess. But he was clearly cognitively impaired, his judgment was not intact, and he had surrounded himself with people who were not willing to tell him the truth about his impairment for their own selfish reasons.

Terry's avatar

That's so not true. President Biden wasn't cognitively declining, unless you call natural aging cognitively declining, then you are and so am I. President Biden has a stutter, so does my dad. Listening to President Biden is the same as listening to my dad. The night of that debate when Biden had covid? It was so like my dad the 4x he's had covid. His stutter is more pronounced, ask him a question or he starts to tell you something, and his voice drifts off, stopping midsentence. When I saw President Biden on the stage that night, I knew he was sick, and shouldn't be there. The people that flat out panicked was laughable to me, having lived with a man with a stutter. I had no idea they'd, top democrats, democrats at large, would go as far as they did. To think that Jill gave him advice on our government, put the kookaid down. You all with your conspiracies are too much 😂🤣😂🤣

Kerry Stutzman's avatar

IMHO What did Biden in was that he took that trips around the world, he was tired, unbeknowst he also had cancer, he had to immediately ready himself for the debate and he's in his 80's. I'd like to see some 20-3-4- year olds keep such a schedule and then go into a debate. He shouldn't have traveled, he should have instead focused on the debate. The debate went badly and because of his age, people focused just on that and then started blaming it on mental acuity. There's a lot of ageism going on and this is what happened. It wasn't that he was getting Dementia, it was that he simply was aging and it was catching up to him in regard to mobility, endurance, responsiveness. Look at Bernie Sanders, he's 84, he has aged better than Biden 82 when he left office and Trump who's 79. Bernie has good mobility, the endurance of a 30 yr old and a quick wit and responsiveness....I don't think anyone would say that he's suffering from Dementia. Everyone ages differently and unfortunately, in President Biden case, his aging process was used against him without evidence of a diagnosis of Dementia or inability to run the Government. He sure was doing a better job than Trump is.

Terry's avatar

Biden wasn't simply tired the night of the debate. He had covid. Dik is showing exactly how true his name is. Conspiracies have no place here. He's seen "videos", therefore everything he's seen is true. 🙄

Dik de Bruijn's avatar

Biden was cognitively impaired as can be seen from more vid than just the one of the debate. This isn't just about his age -- as you point out, there are others in government who are older and still functioning well. My MIL died at 96, with essentially no cognitive impairment and a very strong grasp of geopolitics. It's not ageism to say someone is cognitively impaired when they are. And you don't need a diagnosis of dementia when it's as clear as it is with Biden, Trump, Feinstein, Reagan . . .

Sandra Babu-Boateng's avatar

Yes, and many more before him! No president has been perfect, but this beats everything I thought I would ever experience in my lifetime!

Babz D's avatar

Thanks for the update! His hand is bruised and rotting from money grabbing!

Skitealwedrop's avatar

I think his heart is the problem. Look at his ankles next time you get a chance. Maybe he will explode soon. 😁

Babz D's avatar

Yes he probably does have heart problems, IF HE HAS A HEART... It is said that he is receiving an experimental dementia drug by infusion, which causes the hand issues and the need for frequent brain scans. The Cankles 🐘 are another sign of deteriorating health, probably caused by eating too many big macs 😆

Another day of disappointment in the obituaries!

Well here's hoping a certain someone takes lots more long flights. 🙂

Dee Joy's avatar

Lol exactly what I was thinking yesterday. He's on long flights, where's the DVT? Where's the blood clots?

DL Jr's avatar

You’re right. Hate it but have to!

Robot Bender's avatar

Just pace yourself. I've had to pull back some for my own good.

DL Jr's avatar

True. I had lunch with a buddy today and Minneapolis came up.

It was almost sad how little he knew about the real reasons for the situation.

I never talk politics with him because I know he leans red, but it was scary to hear his beliefs about the direction of the USA. We’ve got a lot of work to do to straighten out the misinformation mess trump created.

Robin D's avatar

I have a friend who didn't even know who Stephen Miller was and she despises Trump. It's like not knowing who Hitler is. I was so disappointed. So many people are not informed...even on our side. 😳 Gets her news on Instagram, while I'm on anxiety meds and can't get away from this place. Need to cut back too. I'm just getting on to see if Ron's newsletter about today is.

Truth Will Set You Free's avatar

Honestly, the bruised hand is no big deal, especially for a guy his age. It likely is because he’s on blood thinners, so he doesn’t have a stroke. Or, he has liver disease, where the platelets tend to gather in the enlarged spleen. Either way, he is being untruthful and much less than transparent. With Trump, always watch what he does, not what he says.

Truth Will Set You Free's avatar

The interview with MAGA_Mike saying the President only sleeps 3 hours per night, but Mike failed to mention all the day time sleep Trump gets in his cabinet meetings, and elsewhere.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Right?! "Dozie Don" and those naps should be counted as sleep!

Let’s talk about the really urgent issue. He is a demented white supremacist’s puppet who has sociopaths whispering lies to him which he repeats as it’s the only “reality” he knows other than a tv show. That and he has control of our nuclear weapons and doesn’t know the difference between Norway, Iceland, Denmark, Greenland, ETC. Hello!!!

Brandyjbassgirl's avatar

I agree, i’m only 60, but since I lost a ton of eight due to the chemical warfare called Covid – 19 the OG version. I bruise super easily. Mentally, yeah he’s on the major decline and rearranged!

Jean Conley's avatar

NO. We have to do both WATCH WHAT HE DOES but definitely WATCH WHAT HE SAYS.

Robot Bender's avatar

He does telegraph his moves a lot. He really never could keep his mouth shut.

Truth Will Set You Free's avatar

He has repeated the same slur against Jack Smith nearly 200 times.

Jean Conley's avatar

Bet it's far more than that!

julie Bastow's avatar

You should demand an independent medical check

Kerry Stutzman's avatar

He had a stroke already that's why he's on blood thinners.

Linda Heath's avatar

True. I see many of my friends in their 70's and early 80's with horrible bruises on their arms and hands. They can just casually bump something and a bruise will appear.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

What gets me, Jim Jordan was running scared on Jan 6 but afterwards and still to this day is trying to re-write what actually happened. What a dick! We all watched this unfold on live TV!

Quantum Kitty's avatar

Jim Jordan is in the epstein files - jim jordan is a pedophile. Jim jordan is part of the cover up.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Yes, of course! We know his checkered past for sure! He stood by and said nothing when those young men were sexally abused. He's a perv! He sickens me!

Kerry Stutzman's avatar

He also was involved in college wrestlers being sexually abused by a team doctor....Google it.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Yes and I was referring to the young men at OSU. I was following the headlines when it came to light and also watched the documentary on HBO last year "Surviving Ohio State"

Robin D's avatar

Do you remember the he tried to help Liz Cheney and she basically told him to get the fuck away from her. She most definitely used the "eff" word. I loved Ted Lieu, Eric Swallwell and Jared Moskowitz today.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Yeah, they kicked butt! 💙

Susan Raquel's avatar

Let's not forget Rankins, Crockett, and Garcia.

Robin D's avatar

Raskin. That goes without saying. I did not see Garcia there and Jasmine was great but the other 3 were my faves.

Susan Raquel's avatar

LOL As soon as I opened up the page I had to laugh at myself, don't know what possessed me to put Rankins. My bad.

I missed quite a bit of the opening, when I came on Garcia was speaking (unless I messed up his name too).

Re Moskowitz, I was getting up from the computer and I heard his name and had to hear what he had to say. He is one of my favorites.

Susan Raquel's avatar

I don't remember the exact circumstance of Moskowitz being called a Smurf. I, however, do think of that whenever I hear his name or watch him speak. His sense of humor is outstanding. Raskin's is pretty good too. Both of those men always get my attention.

My son got me an I phone on his account. I only use it to text him. I really get frustrated trying to do anything else on it. Pictures are just too small for me.

Robin D's avatar

Susan, I can't tell you how I cringe when I look at every spelling mistake in my posts, like the one on top. I just can't go back and edit them...too many. Not that it's an excuse, but my eyesight is not great and I write from a kindle fire. I don't know how people do this on their phones. I hope you don't mind that I corrected you. I hate being one of those people...like a woman on a board who admonished me that I left out a comma in one of my rambling, stream of consciousness posts.

I honestly did not know most of the MAGA swamp creatures at this hearing, or some of the Dem Congresswomen. Maybe I missed Garcia myself. I realized most of the Dems were lawyers/prosecutors at some point. Even Jared was a lawyer and I didn't know that. I don't know how they pick people. Gym Jordan didn't even take the bar or practice.

I love Moskowitz too, especially when he and James "Elmer Fudd" Comer go at it. Do you remember when he told Jared he looked like a Smurf? 😂 There's a time to be sober and serious, but with these asshats? I look to him for some comic relief along with bringing the receipts.

Susan Raquel's avatar

Most of the time I don't pay any attention to spelling errors. I don't know if it is age or what; but, I notice that I type the wrong there/their, to/too kind of errors more frequently.

The only time I pay more attention to grammar is when there is none. I have a heck of a time trying to figure out what some folks are trying to say.

A little story about the lack of a comma. I used to post on a history forum and there was a raging war going on between parties about the confederacy. Although I disagreed with this one conspiracy fellow we got along okay, I'd tell him my idea and he'd tell me his

. We would also talk about other things. No name calling or rudeness on either side.

One day he posted something to me and left out a comma. Without the comma the meaning of the sentence changed. I knew what he meant and wasn't offended. Well, other posters went bonkers about how rude he was to me, blah, blah, blah. I took up for him and said that they were misinterpreting what he wrote. Then, of course, I was in the wrong for taking his side.

My feathers got ruffled and I lambasted them for being rude, etc.

The Confederate guy came on the next day and apologized to me for everything. I told him ty; but, none needed.

Not to worry about correcting me. Bye the way, I appreciate the paragraphs. :-)

Then he proceeded to lambast everyone for being mean to me.

and the WAR was on. LOL

Kerry Stutzman's avatar

The reason they all talked over Mr. Smith is because they didn't want to give him the opportunity to answer because it wouldn't be the answer THEY wanted to come out. They are gutless, despicable cowards!!

Robin D's avatar

They wanted to use this to pontificate, not give him a moment to answer, and shovel their propaganda and play to the camera and Donnie Demented...and try to trap Jack Smith too. That's why Eric Swallwell was so.great. He called them out for being hypocrites. How when the camera lights are off they laugh at Trump and call him a.scumbag (and specifically mentioned Matt "Eddie Munster Bad Botox" Gaetz laughing at Trump. The one who was the most repellant was someone I had not known before Trey don't remember his last name. So vile. . Boy, if karma comes, like it usually does (Bill Cassidy...took 5 years and he kissed his ass but he never forgot he spoke against him and just waited to get back in power to primary him). Then Ted Lieu managed to throw EPSTEIN in too. So many great zingers from the Dems and the Repubs just proved themselves to be bluster, mean and vicious. Jack Smith has aged 100 years but I think he was remarkable. I would be a screaming, crying, cursing.lunatic...which is why I am a nobody venting on Substack 😂

Kerry Stutzman's avatar

I am in your choir!!! I loved when the Senator, can't think of his name, who read what the various GOP Sen said right after Jan 6th: how it was despicable, it was Trump's doing, how terrible it was, etc, etc and then today they're in there supporting the despicable excuse of a President

Kerry Stutzman's avatar

I told my husband that I found Jack Smith remarkable that he could keep his composure because the GOP were being so theatrical for their orange leader, the more vile and antagonistic the better. Jack kept his cool and professional demeanor, he was polite, even when the GOP was spitting questions at him and then talking over him when he tried to answer. It was their shit show and that's what they got on their faces because they came across, rude, loud, argumentative and belligerent.

Robin D's avatar

I love Jack Smith. From the minute I saw him in the purple robe when he prosecuted war crimes at the Hague. I admire him that despite knowing they are going to come after him, he is is not going to be deterred by them.

Robin D's avatar

Was it Jared Moskowitz from Fla? One of the last to speak? The one who James "Elmer Fudd" Comer called a Smurf once? Haha. He is great. He said "they live in the past...all the way back to the civil war..but let's get back to the present" and had 4 pages of stuff he could have mentioned. Or maybe Ted Lieu (he is one of my faves and brought up Epstein) . Or Dan Goldman. I don't remember but Swallwell, Ted Lieu, Dan Goldman,, Jasmine Crockett, Jared Moskowitz were all lawyers/prosecutors, while Jim Jordan who chairs that committee went to law school but never took the bar or practiced. He just covered up sex abuse at OSU. All he and the rest know now to do is steamroll and can't shut the fuck up. What an embarrassment.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Yep, it doesn't fit their narrative! Pieces of shit!

Kerry Stutzman's avatar

All of these GOP Senators today are traitors, they continue to support a man and admin that clearly disavows the Constitution and they are not abiding by their oath of office and should be immediately removed. Makes me sick to watch a great man like Jack Smith have to sit in front of these cowards, cowards who know full well that Trump caused Jan 6th, is responsible for it happening while they also continue the lies. They are all hypocrites. When they were running on Jan 6th and thought their lives were in danger and the real truth came out how they feel and now they sing a different story. Glad the Dem Senator read their posts from Jan 6th comments to remind these hypocrites of what they had said. ALL-in-all, I felt that the Democrats did a great job in dismantling all the GOP talking points. As one Dem Sen said, if Trump had been as humble as VP Gore and accepted the outcome like a man, honorably for the best of the country, they wouldn't be there today, there wouldn't be dead police officers, maimed officers and a Gov't in severe turmoil!!!! This is the real point of it all...Trump couldn't accept that he lost....that's what all of this is about. He's not enough of a man to accept losing.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

I agree. I was trying to watch it today but got so pissed off with the disrespect Jack Smith was getting from these traitors! Especially that piece of shit, Jim Jordan! All of the GOP were interrupting him, they wouldn't let him answer the damn question they were asking! I did see some very good Dem highlights. Kudos to them!

Kerry Stutzman's avatar

Did you catch that they want him(Smith) back in Feb to go over part 2 of his report which will add immeasurably to his case? He notified Jordan today.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

No, I didn't catch that bit.

Robert Engel's avatar

In 250+ years brave women and men worked hard, risking much, giving their lives, to make the United States a country, that while imperfect, was moving towards MLK's vision,"The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice". Not only for the USA, but setting the example (again, imperfectly) for many nations on earth.

In 1 year tRump - our sickly, demented toddler in chief - is destroying it. The MAGA SCOTUS Justices and his loyal minions are aiding and abetting the lawlessness. Almost everyone sees this, feels this viscerally, thinks this. Only the GOP has no morality or courage to state this or rein in the behaviour and policies.

CONGRESS MUST IMPEACH HIM & REMOVE HIS CRONIES!! But they won't.

And by the time the mid-terms come and go, it may be too late. We need massive peaceful protests to convince even MAGA GOP they must end the madness. Then we must vote them out.

Linda Heath's avatar

I keep hearing Trump, "You won't have to vote again". Chilling, I think this intimidation by ICE will keep thousands away from the voting booths. The push by the GOP to redistrict and the attack on mail-in ballots are other means they hope to cheat Americans.

Susan Raquel's avatar

I don't know about other states; but, I bet ICE won't keep the Minnesotans from voting.
