Is there anyone else who feels an overwhelming gag reflex coming on when seeing Donald Trump? Doctors won’t need to stick that wooden thing in the back of your throat anymore. Just show you a photo.

mer t's avatar

Or listen to him try to talk

Sharon Herrick's avatar

I have this exact reflex. Can't even hear a word out of his mouth. It's to the point that I can't look at him either. The rest of the grotesque menagerie produce the same gag reflex: Tommy The Troll Homan, Scotty The Butt-licker Bessent just the latest.

Sharon Herrick's avatar

Sorry---clearly you were talking about seeing him and I thought about hearing him---either way the reaction is the same---revulsion.

Dave Carew's avatar

B-I-N-G-O, Mike!

Kathy Hughes's avatar

Absolutely, yes!

Geoffrey Fox's avatar

I could not agree more. I use the mute button a lot and quickly change channels between him , Noem, Homan and now Melanias commercials for her stupendous film 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

S. A. Linden's avatar

I saw a photo of one of her large movie promo posters. It was defaced by vandals in an extremely creative way. I thought I could even detect a mustache on her face.

Charles Bastille's avatar

I don't think I've ever watched him speak for more than a few minutes at a time. The Kamala destruction event (aka debate), which would have sealed the doom of any other candidate, was the longest I've ever watched, and I had a spitoon next to me for my reflexive vomiting while watching.

Gina's avatar

Yes- his putrid orange face and sneering voice make me sick

Brian Wormald's avatar

You too!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought it was only me!!!!

Alex's avatar

Yes! Overwhelming!

Tracy Jop's avatar

Is it me or does Tom Homan remind you of Robert de Brus, 6th Lord of Annandale from Braveheart. Or Palpatine from Star Wars

Thomas Thompson's avatar

My only reflex is pure, unadulterated, burning hatred!

Lu flores's avatar

Omg!! Exactly!!

MB Matthews, she/her's avatar

Sorry. Not sorry. I’d take the tongue depresser. 😝

Pickleball's avatar

Can we even consider remembering that they still need to RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES in spite of all of that corrupt pedo rapist’s attempt to distract?

Peter Roest's avatar

I’m still expecting an Executive Order publicly mandating that the Epstein documents do not exist, never have existed, and never will exist. We’re all living in Wonderland now, but it’s uglier and scarier than anything Carroll could even have imagined.

Dawn's avatar

So what’s happened to the military’s oath to not follow illegal orders? And when is someone going to straight up say that trump is insane and that he is traitor handing over our country on a gold platter? So many questions, so little time..

Claudia J Smith's avatar

You fogot "Why hasn't someone or some group exterminated him yet?

Concerned Citizen's avatar

I don't think that'll happen...we are fucked.

Judy Schimek's avatar

Epstein files, Epstein files, Epstein files!!!!!!

Donna Fade's avatar

He’s behaving, in fact the entire cabinet is behaving like a bunch of cornered RATS!!

Steven Ohmert's avatar

I wouldn’t want to mess with a cornered rat, but we absolutely must have the courage and resolve to exterminate this administration ASAP.

Pat Robinson's avatar

I actually am dealing with a rat invasion on my farm and have found the most effective way to get rid of them is something called a snap trap ( I tried humane traps, relocating them, dog safe poison, but they incapacitated my up my car and appeasement was not working)....but I don't believe there is a snap trap for trump. There is nothing he can do to make the GOP no longer support him and some how we much continue to resist and hold the GOP accountable for their support of all things trump including the amazing in a bad way total lack of compassion/integrity and support for the rule of law. I wish we could sit in Sunday school with them and their pastors and talk about what Jesus said and ask them to their faces in public how they support the opposite of everything he told them to do. And hold their pastors accountable as well. Ask them in public, so you like it when your congregation applauds the unlawful killing of persons who have not committed a crime who could have been/were subdued in another manner, in cold blood. And when Jesus said suffer the little children to come unto me, you feel that means rip them away from their family and send them to a detention facility. I wonder if there are any people who call then selves Christians who feel the GOP is giving Christianity a bad name.

Gingbos's avatar

There is no such thing as a Republican Christian. The ideologies of both are completely incompatible.

Geoffrey Fox's avatar

Just refer to them as Evangelicals because there is nothing “ Christ like” about their behavior. What has happened to this country. Koolaid for everyone?

S. A. Linden's avatar

My neighbors just had to eliminate a rat problem. Turns out that rats eat dog poop and the neighbors have two large dogs, so it's hard to keep up.

Perfect analogy for the country right now.

Ellen McKenzie's avatar

I definitely do.

Susan Raquel's avatar

Pat, same situation re rats. Try filling a tall bucket about 1/3 full of water. They will go after the water.

Same applies to the trump regime. Dems have set all kinds of "traps" that haven't worked very well. Minimal success.

What I see now is the trump regime trapping itself. They are fighting among themselves, constantly changing their minds, i.e., confusion and basically going down the tubes, jumping into buckets of water with no way to get out.

You can never get rid of all the rats, that is a fact of life. Sometimes the best that can be done is to keep the damage as controlled as possible.

Pat Robinson's avatar

Right now the temps are below freezing so the water bucket doesn't work. And there are heated buckets in the barn and they don't seem to get into them...and yet in the summer I'll find drowned mice in them...go figure....

I hear a lot about Republicans being in a bit of disarray, but I don't seem to see much real disarray..by and large they still support everything he wants, like to allow the deportation of American Citizens apparently without any messiness like going to court. No one in the GOP congress cares that trump changes his mind from hour to hour as the only thing they care about is doing what he says, even if he just said the opposite the day before. I do have to wonder if all big business like that since I'd think they'd like some stability, but seems they are ok with it too.

JoBo's avatar

ICEBERG CULT

As ICE continues its reign of terror, Republicans are on THIN ICE. Their ICEBERG cult is cracking as the horror of their votes to support government ordered murders and torture, is finally recognized by all in America who don’t watch fox entertainment.

Democrats cannot CAVE to ICE. An ICE CAVE is what Chuck Schumer gave us last time. What we need is Democrats to form an ICE BLOCK. Let them know, it will be an ICE COLD DAY IN HELL before we vote for another dime to support terrorizing our friends and neighbors.

Geoffrey Fox's avatar

Well said and hopefully Chuck Schumer heeds the warning of the public. No more N.A. by Pam by bs.

Lisa's avatar

No one, and I mean, no one, wants to see this movie about a disgusting human being! I'd rather have a colonoscopy & root canal at the same time than watch that garbage!!! I am so tired of this bully!

Kathy Hughes's avatar

Apparently audiences were unimpressed by the Melania trailer before the feature film. People were booing the trailer in theaters and not a single person showed up to view it in Boston.

Geoffrey Fox's avatar

They aired it in London and 1 ticket was sold for the multiplex airing it

Kathy Hughes's avatar

I love this! The British are none too fond of Trump, and this shows it. I loved the Scots and their massive protests of Trump when we American taxpayers paid $16 million for him to go there to open another course at Turnberry. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

S. A. Linden's avatar

Wow. That sure doesn't sound like a moneymaker. Who financed the thing and who is supposed to get profits? Shall we check Rotten Tomatoes in a month or so? Whew. I'll bet it stinks.

Kathy Hughes's avatar

From what I know, Jeff Bezos underwrote the production costs. I wouldn’t be willing to watch it for free, let alone pay for it.

Susan Raquel's avatar

Yeah, Bezos paid out 40mil for production and then 35mil for advertising. LOL What a wiener.

No big deal for Bezos, it was just camouflage for a bribe.

Melania got her millions out of the deal so she probably doesn't care either. Do You?

Kathy Hughes's avatar

I think it’s a way of monetizing the presidency, even though Melania isn’t the president, her husband is. I have to admit I am a bit surprised Trump didn’t have Bezos make a film about himself, given his unfathomable narcissism.

Susan Raquel's avatar

A film about trump would probably be like going to one of his rallys. He or his sick o phants might have discouraged him knowing that a reception like is expected for Melania, would hurt his feelings. LOL

I'm sure at some point there will be films about trump. Some how I don't think he or his family and friends will like it.

S. A. Linden's avatar

Oh right . . . I forgot. Thanks. Another reason to boycott Amazon. Bezos is such a whore.

Kathy Hughes's avatar

I had quit subscribing to the Post when Bezos refused to endorse a candidate. He also chased off quite a few of their best columnists.

Renee Goodman's avatar

Who the hell would watch a movie of an Epstein geared h__ker! Isn’t that how she met the Dumpster? They were both part of Epstein/Maxwell!

Kathy Hughes's avatar

Somehow, this utterly fails to surprise me at all. I would love to see critics’ reviews of this vanity project!

Signe K.'s avatar

Thanks for the laugh-- that was pretty good. :)

uRNangel423's avatar

Lisa, just a FYI, having a colonoscopy is under anesthesia, and having a root canal done, you wouldn’t know it was done until after. But I’m with you, I’d rather have anything surgery without anesthesia than watch that movie!

Donna Fade's avatar

New York should secede from the US and join Canada!!!

J Cheng's avatar

add California please!

LoriG412's avatar

Pennsylvania too

Peter Roest's avatar

As a Pennsylvania resident, I think that sounds like a great idea. If only we could stay in America and just secede from Trump and his MAGA goons.

Gene Wood's avatar

And Minnesota

Donna Fade's avatar

Guess I spelled it wrong!

Marilyn's avatar

Arizona as well!

Kitty Moore's avatar

As should California

S. A. Linden's avatar

Could we make a trade for Florida? Texas?

Juls's avatar

Trump will do a recount of those ballots and count the same way he’s counts square footage of his properties and announce he won 2020. We already know

Donald's avatar

No, he'll claim Fulton County officials are corrupt and call for them to be prosecuted and replaced by loyalists, of course. THEN he'll claim the results were 'rigged' and he should have won in 2020, but its too late. Remember, if he won in 2020 and wants to retroactively be made President, he has to leave office now as he can't hold office for 3 terms. But, honestly, who knows WHAT he'll claim. Dude is suffering from major dementia!

Juls's avatar

You are absolutely correct!!

S. A. Linden's avatar

This seizure is so patently unconstitutional that our boards of elections should get state subsidies for security to keep out these bastards.

Where are the lawsuits??

Nicole Koretsky's avatar

The last paragraph reads like reporting from a country like Iraq or Russia or Argentina under the Perons. It's really easy to remain as frogs in warming water and it's important to stop sometimes, and view reporting as though we were watching from afar. If another country was doing these things, just the things that are happening this week, we would consider them to be a failing democracy, a nation to approach with caution, perhaps to sanction, certainly not to trust.

I hope our fellow Americans are opening their eyes to the no-shit peril we are in. Thanks as ever for the excellent reporting, team.

LoriG412's avatar

The crap in Fulton county is treason

Jb's avatar

Anyone attached to this regime is Treasonous

Renee Goodman's avatar

And money hungry which is why the Billionaires support him! And the rest who aren’t Billionaires are either stupid or brainwashed!

uRNangel423's avatar

By drinking the Kool-Aid!

Nancy Richardson's avatar

This evil regime gets worse on a daily basis. Enough is enough. SCOTUS, Senate, the House and the Military need to start doing their jobs and put a stop to this evil regime.

Thanks Ben for the update and for speaking truth to power.

Pat Robinson's avatar

Sadly they are not going to start doing their job without more pressure from the populace, and in the case of the SC continued reminders that what ever they allow trump to do a democratic president will also do, and one day there will be one.

Amy Croydon's avatar

Someone remove this insane, deranged man from the White House.

WHY ARE WE ALLOWING THIS?!

Pat Robinson's avatar

We are not, the GOP Congress is and I don't know what we can do until the midterms except hope a few would retire before then ( but they would be pressured so much they would not...they have already shown then have no backbone), so they would no longer have the majority in the House. Also, I wish there were a way that blue states could stop sending in federal income taxes (based on taxation without representation). A gentleman in Minneapolis changed his small restaurant from a business to a non profit where all meals are free because he said he cannot send any money to the federal government to support what they are doing in his city. In his situation it has been working out great as most folks donate more for their meals than the would have paid, and he also is getting donations from all over (his place is called Post Modern Times if you'd like to donate!)

Nannie dragon's avatar

And we are all holding our breath that he doesn't decide to say America is completely unsafe. I'm going to call for martial law so that we can make America safe and that will lead to the cancellation of the elections this fall

Renee Goodman's avatar

Pat, thank you for sharing that information! It sounds great! What a fabulous idea that owner had. Maybe more businesses can enact that precedent, to help struggling people as well as their business!

Pat Robinson's avatar

And as we can, we all need to chip in to help when we find out about things like this!

Geoffrey Fox's avatar

We patriot's are protesting, writing Congress, speaking out but the party in charge thinks of rainbows and sunshine and everything is wonderful.

DJT_1946-2025's avatar

The fucking criminal doesn't like being asked questions that he doesn't know the answers to. He looks stupid enough as it is without them piling on.

susan's avatar

Thank you for the work you all are doing on behalf of the American public.

DJT_1946-2025's avatar

We have those scumbags THREE recounts and each one showed that Trump lost by more than originally thought in GA. All of a sudden they're going to find the Democrats cheated?

arne link's avatar

Of course they are. They lie with impunity.

opsan's avatar

For so many, many things going on today: MINNESOTA MATTERS. https://bsky.app/profile/opsan.com/post/3mdej5mse3c2y

Eytan's avatar

My feeling is he’s gonna start the war with Iran. That’s how he’s gonna get out of him having the midterms.

Chris Schleifer's avatar

Exactly!! He will take us, I’m a Canadian, all into WW3 to prevent him from going to jail. He & his minions are incredibly evil and beyond important.

Signe K.'s avatar

He has to keep finding ways to keep distracting from the Epstein files. Must be something really horrible about him in there!

sashi T's avatar

America has elections during wars. A war wont stop that and midterms are managed at the state level.

Catherine Tollefson's avatar

Avoiding Epstein files!

arne link's avatar

Dear God, I hope you are wrong.

Geoffrey Fox's avatar

I am praying Congress will not declare war though and then it will be a failure.
